My name is Tristan, I've been obsessed with martial arts films since I was a kid. Growing up watching Power Rangers, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, and Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies. At one point I simultaneously discovered Tony Jaa and Donnie Yen in Ong Bak and Ip Man. since then I made it a mission to discover and watch martial arts films from all over.
So this channel will be about reviewing martial arts films and the occasional trailer reaction. and if news about a big martial arts film surfaces I guarantee I'll have a reaction for it.

Iron Monkey Is His Best Movie, He was also in Wing Chun with Michelle Yeoh...
I thought the fight scenes were top notch this is a great movie all around in my opinion
Way better than Game of Death 1
I don't remember them useing funeral footage?
All Time Classic Great Movie
Who has Bruce Lees speed and power pound for pound name me one fighter?
Speaking of underrated movies no one ever talks about 'Thunderbolt (1995)' I think its a decent movie some decent fights and stunts but it rarely if ever pops up in Jackie Chan DVD collection vids.
So he worked for the CIA ( Voice of Amerika) and rumoured that he was part of the Southern East CIA. His actions regarding the cover up behind the highly organised Assassination hit team death of Bruce Lee will live in infamy.. RIP Master Lee.
For Lo Lieh, the movie where he was playing a white haired villain and not Pai Mei was Clan of the White Lotus, he played Pai Mei in slice of death and executioners from shaolin.
Bardzo dobry film. Niektóre sceny są rewelacyjne! Nie rozumiem dlaczego ma takie niskie noty? Dzięki za recenzję.
overall decent review, I would disagree though at that everything else was awful, I thought there were many funny non fighting scenes, also the swimming pool scene with all the girls was pretty hot and at the same time incredibly aggravating seeing Jason our main man getting tossed around like that, not to mention ruining his relationship for a bit, nonetheless I thought your points were spot on with the fighting, I enjoy the crap out of the final fighting scenes, I think I watched it maybe 10 or 15 times in the past few months, its an incredible film though, also I wish we got more time with the original sensei like in the beginning of the film, his taijutsu is badass!
Is that a Black Panther shirt ? awesome .
No messing about went straight into the training
This entire movie feels like is was produced and written by a college student for his class. People always go on about oh it’s just his style of directing. Yeah that’s great doesn’t make the movie less shit
I lost more life on a nobody going full on dumb.
Interesting to know that Brahim doesn't try to watch too much of the martial arts action out there right now so that it doesn't interfere with his creative thought process. Makes sense in a way considering that having all of the contemporary choreography in films these days swimming in your head might cause you to subconsciously copy too much of it and prevent as much originality in your own work. With that said, despite Monkey Man being compared to John Wick because of the more grounded slower-paced hand-to-hand combat, it's quite different namely in the lack of gunplay (or gun-jutsu as they sometimes label it) and more intense camerawork. Great directorial debut from Dev Patel and I hope he collaborates with Brahim again soon.
I give credit to the action designer Dawid Szatarski..
Damm boy... Didn't watch you for a year or so... You've gotten wide! Liftin' much?
In the fourth film, a character in the tournament wears a shirt with Mark Dacascos Kung Fu on it, the producers wanted Sasha Mitchell to come back for the fifth film, when he didn't, they replaced him with Mark Dacascos, but I think the shirt was just a coincidence (in real life, Mark Dacascos had won various tournaments in different martial arts, including that he'd been European kung fu champion)
The final fight in this is genuinely absolutely masterful, kudos to Bill for getting in such shape and physical ability to keep up with arguably one of the fastest and most skilled martial artists today, Dawid Szataraski too on the fight choreo duties was 👌🙏🔥 to be able to develop such a unique, acrobatic fighting style for a lead not usually known for action of this caliber and training him to perform all of it so adeptly is mind blowing. The rest of the film….. oof.
No mention about if he got married or not and whether he had any children?
My research was based on his career, not much of his personal life.
Interesting interview
Brilliant interview
amazing interview
great review 🔥
They Are Other JEET KUNE DO Movies - Bruce Lee's Children 1 ) Shannon Lee's Movies 2 ) Brandon Lee's Movies - Showdown in Little Tokyo , Legacy of Rage , Riped Fire Besides - *Bruce Lee's Movies* 🐉🐲🥋🥊
You need to watch some Ti Lung and David Chiang movies
Great video keep it up ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you very much!
Fearless Hyena fight at the end with the 3 henchman is insane.
It’s trash just because of how over hyped it is. Can’t stand someone who says they like martial arts movies but this is the only martial arts movie they have ever seen. Fuh outta here.
Though I quite enjoy 3, first time through it, I was a bit bored by the end. I loved all of part 4 and did not want it to end!
I just saw this and was actually pretty happy when I realized it was a continuous shot that was getting boring bc I could throw snarky comments to my cat about the guys that were getting killed. That being said, I'm a huge Tak fan and even I could hear his delts screaming...I mean, 77 minutes, c'mon...
RIP Fung Hark On, always a fantastic villain.
They done rob van bad in the ufc . Guy was 50 plus fighting in mma
Wish you'd reply to your Facebook comments on your video posts.
Did NOT understand the exaggerated hate on this movie I mean…okay okay, there’s a few “generic hitman” themes-I guess & there’s a bit more I would’ve liked to explore, him & his best friend’s origin, what it was that he did to save his friend’s life (Gao? Forgot spelling so-) Anyway, but leaving it ambiguous was fine as well…I mean the audience doesn’t need to be a genius to have a pretty good idea on how or what happened. Maybe more interesting if the friend didn’t go against him so easily at first? He struggles w/it by the end, yes. Think we should’ve seen that struggle earlier-cause during their 1st encounters (after Gao declines his hit)-his friend is all for getting him. Then again, his friend seemed to expect that he was gonna make it out, but even during the pincer attack when him & the Columbians have him cornered at the apartments? But I loved this show. THIS scene? Hooked, immediately. Completely set the tone of the bleak & dread of this killer’s life-& that THAT was the last straw for him. One of my favorite opening scenes actually. CRIMINALLY unknown film, truly
I actually liked the fights in Bloodsport 3. It’s an average/below-average action film, but the tournament fights are worth a watch.
Bloodsport 2 had some highly improved fight scenes over the first. I barely got through the 3rd movie, and couldn’t even finish the 4th.
I’ve seen the original several times, but I’ve always been too scared to check out the sequels lol
As you should be!
@@MartialArtsFilmFreak also one video idea that I would be interested in is like a tour of the figures/pops/posters in the background! Maybe in the style of your DVD collection videos from a while back. I just always like to see the merch people pick up.
Glad to see you back man! I'd personally rank Bloodsport 2 over Bloodsport 1 (Haven't seen 3 or 4 yet), I also prefer the fights in the sequel significantly more than the first and I liked the characters, actors and acting between the two about the same. Though James Hong killed it as the teacher character in the movie in my opinion. Really the only things I prefer from the first Bloodsport is the cinematography, locations and sets, the movie looked great and actually getting to see footage shot in and around Kowloon walled city is a fun time. I do think Bloodsport 1 is a fun movie just like you but I really do just have a preference to the sequel.
You are defenatly not damn clever. This is art.
Did you watch the video?
This is a great movie but One armed boxer 2 is a master piece. You can hear a lot of the music and sound effects from it in Kill Bill.
Thanks for describing the career of this powerhouse of production. He is also admired all around Asia. His Cantonese name is Hung Jin Bao. The same ideographs in Mandarin reads Hung Kam Bo. Their joke is they can all read the same newspaper, but can't discuss it. You are far braver than I in ranking his volume of work. Of the three opera school brothers J. Chan was recognized as the best all around fighter, Yuen Biao the most gymnastic, and Sammo the best brawler type. His upper lip scar was from a broken bottle bar fight. The Prodigal Son has been considered by some to be the first modern more realistic style of screen combat. I am not disagreeing with this video The three careers of the brothers made Hong Kong Cinema world known. How about a Yuen Biao video?
Goju is a Japanese Okinawan system it is not Chinese
I just went off all of the research that I could find.
Snake in eagles shadow is a classic
Odd Couple is insane, my only gripe is that they sped up some of the fights a bit too much and it's really obvious.
I got annoyed too, but mostly over your 45 second intro of generic scrap music. 45 seconds, c'mon dude.
Great video!!! ✌️😆
