  Yes and no. The work place specifically owns the entire area we were in. So the closest job would be either to get a job at their resort or waterpark. There’s also another resort next door owned by someone else that you might be able to get a second job. The town was pretty far out, you would definitely have to Uber or even on a bicycle it’s about 20-30 minutes away.

  @@shanaeantoniaa in one of your videos you mentioned about hours. I’m wondering, have you seen any park attendants like cleaning and working around the compound at work most of the time that you were there as well?

  @@MackaylaMalcolm because I worked at the resort, there weren’t that many park attendants there. But I did see a few occasionally. I think they’re mostly at the larger waterpark which is called soaky.

  It’s actually pretty close, one work place is 5 minutes, that’s the big waterpark and the second is like 10, that’s the resort. Good luck!

  Yes I did, I don’t remember if I forgot to say it or I said it in another video, but I only had one job because the area that I was in was secluded so it was hard to get other jobs, plus the hours I worked on certain days affected when and if I got a second job. Also this year a lot of employers were saying they weren’t hiring J1s.

  Yes at times, because if it rains hard and there’s lightning, they usually close the park

  @@mettaflanger2270 I’ve travelled to the states for a few years for extended periods of time and I’ve never personally encountered racism. However, I think it’s different because I’m a woman, even though I’m black. Guys that I’m friends with have said they have, and they have been profiled. I do think it differs based on the state you go to, however with primarily white countries I do think racism is to be expected.

  @@mettaflanger2270 I don’t think you should worry too much about it, just try to stick to groups of people that you know. Especially on work and travel there are so many different nationalities and once you begin to make friends, it wont be too bad. Just make your money, have fun and come home. Be just as cautious as you would go anywhere. Not everybody has the same experiences, but I do hope you have a good one. And thank you!❤️

  Doe laugh but question, when you apply for J1 visa do you have to apply for visa again in the future or does J1 mean after college you still have your visa?

  Sorry, just seeing this. J1 specifically is a yearly thing. So every year you go on J1 you have to reapply for a new visa and it expires within a couple months. If you want a regular visiting visa, it’s a similar process however it lasts longer and you won’t be able to work on it.

  Once I paid all the money to my company in December, I actually went to their office in January and selected the date that I wanted. I selected February 28 if I remember correctly because I was waiting on my transcript, but there were earlier dates.

  What happened if you get turn down for the visa ?

  I’m not completely sure, however it depends on why you were turned down. Sometimes it’s documents missing and they’ll give you a paper to come back. Other persons reapply, but I’m not sure of the time lapse before you can apply again.
