no. I had the wrong restrictor on it n starved it from oil
@@poca908able damn that sucks, been there before.. make sure you use a filter too though with it being front mounted. Might be seein a little more dusty, rock action

Its the builders fault. Incorrect/insufficient oil feed. Without even seeing it. Nothing wrong with their stuff. Considering yourself lucky it wasnt a 4k turbo

I know this is an old ish post but how hot outside is it? I had to put 2 rad fans on my car to stop it from over heating and its 95 outside now and hasnt give me any issues since. I have the oem fan in the front and a slim fan on the bumper side of the radiator. And my coolant temp never goes above 185. Boosted lsv running 20lbs
nice 20lbs must be amazing..and it is hot rn. close to 90. I got it to where it's manageable. needle goes up 2 half and that's it but I have 2 slim fans. I really wanna put the oe fan back on but no space due to the down pipe
@@poca908able i used to only be running 1 slim fan but the ebay fans just do not flow alot of air. With the 1 slim fan it would idle all day at 180 degrees but the second id drive it down my drive way it would slowly over heat to 205 then i would shut it off but as soon as i put the oem fan on it consistently stayed below 185. What type of slim fans are they? Maybe if they are from ebay and a no name company that may be your problem. Id definitely be trying to put an oe fan back on. Is it possible at all to het the down pipe to fit? Im running a 68mm turbo with a vband flange with a bwr ram horn and i barely got my down pipe to fit. Its resting on the oe schrowd and has melted it a small bit haha
@@poca908able ohh yep i just saw your setup and the wastegate is definitely in the way of the downpipe haha but as long as it cools back down when your driving is say the problem is fixed👍 also what size turbo are you running? My 68 has a crappp ton of lag and im slowly getting into road corse racing(definitely enclosed) and i need some faster boost. It doesnt make anything below 5800😂 but yours sounds like it spools pretty fast. Thank you

I would have to change my setup. if I go back to hood exit which I might I can get the oe fan back on. I have a 1320 topmount manifold with a spacer cuz my 70m turbo was hitting the manifold and rasing it made it clear the manifold
@@poca908able do you do your own welding? I mean if the car cools back down id say its a win but if its bugging you alot it looks like you could cut your waste gate off and weld a 90 on it to get that out of the way and it looks lioe you would be able to move your downpipe close to the manifold just enough to fit the oe rad but its alot of work for something that still works🤷

Brother, I have that turbo installed in my car, and the sound of the turbine cannot be heard🥲🥲🥲 I have open wastegate too, maybe it influences?
at full boost u can definitely hear mines.
I have the same chasis honda, and function7 subframe setup. But i lost those lil brackets that go behind the subframe bar. Could i just use regular nuts to secure it in place?

I did that at first and kept blowing fuses. I just did a spal slim 1800 cfm fan with a shroud and now the highest I see 192 on a hot day. Before was 203
that's awsome I heard alot of great things about a spal. my issue is my downpipe is in the way. hopefully I don't blow fuses. if I do ima have to go hood exit
