Great video! I'm going to use Lake Michigan tart cherries, but I'm not sure of your proportions. You are clear about the sweetened wine and Grapa proportions, but I'm not sure of the quantity of cherries that you are using. And since you wished that you'd have made more, I'd like to make it in a larger quantity as well. Cherry harvest is starting. And I will be in the cherry region of Wisconsin in the beginning of August. I think your recipe is going to blow my family away at Thanksgiving, because in Wisconsin cherries are used in what's called Cherry Bounce, and that's just cherries in brandy. Thanks for your video!

What is the required income for a retiree with US Social Security and quarterly trust fund payments? I get about 1200.00 per month. Will that be enough for residency?

Currently, the income requirement to get a D7 visa is €820.00 per month. This figure changes yearly and is currently tied to the minimum wage.

What was the name of the 1st restaurant you mentioned? Not Ponto Final. I’ve visited Lisbon for the last 20 consecutive months in a row and been to the Restaurante FAROL de Cacilhas which about 10ft when you exit the ferry.

You should try the new Rioja, with less or none oak, searching the terroir and expresion of the grape with old wineyards, differentiating villages, zones or single wineyard wines. It is a great time in Rioja with a lot of variety, from classic oaked wine and fresh wine with less alcohol, more acidity and freshness. I suggest you Jose Gil in Rioja Alavesa. Thanks for your video

I’ve been to Lisbon, Portugal. I’m from the US and planning to retire there when I turn 62, marry a beautiful Portuguese traditional woman and have a kid. It’s a wonderful place. I like Europe as it has a lot to offer.

How do you expect to find a beautiful Portuguese woman in child-bearing age in your 60's? You'd need to be incredibly attractive, rich and look amazingly young for your age :D

Go to the Philipines if your looking to find a woman of child bearing age of you're in your 60s. As someone in their early 60s, who's lived in Portugal since 2002, trust me, you will not find a 'traditional woman of child bearing age'. Why you would want to, is another question, but look elsewhere.

Great video - very informative. Would you recommend Setubal for non-Portuguese speaking expats? I am over in Spain and Portugal next month looking for somewhere for my Japanese (English-Speaking) Wife and I to move to (we`re currently in Tokyo). It`s important for her to meet English-Speaking people (and she prefers an American accent!). I know Portugal reasonably well (mainly The Algarve) and keen in the Lisbon area (worried about costs) and Porto.

Portugal could easily hold a 15 million population but the sicessive nroliberal governments hsve made life difficult for the younger generations, all so that the richest in Portugal can be richer while the rest of us get poorer. Neoliberalism has been the desease, it is fo sad we moved away from TRUE social democracy but sadly a lot of the portuguese are to blame for that for being easily dupped by greedy snobbish demagogues, of which the worse today is the fascist leadet of the party called Chega. While snobbish conservative filth like him keep being the dominant forces we will not get far. Meanwhile Poland, the baltic states and Romenia already surpassed us easily.
