i have this bike in the white cause i liked the look of the brown seat (retro), straight out swapped the tyres, didnt even try the stock tyres, and so far its been a good bike, really like it, looking at it now probably is more expensive than it should be £589 in the UK but so what, allows me to have fun

maybe a little out of the ordinary for your videos. but id like to hear your thoughts on Laird Frames. the advantages of being able to have someone hand build a bike to the geometry you choose. the value of his frames. one of his basic builds comes out just under $500, and he offers full titanium frames.

Whip xl if you want to stay relatively cheap. Spending a little more to get one of the fly bikes might also be a good option!

41 year old here, planning on returning to bmx soon. My last bmx bike was FBM PW moto 20.75 with other custom parts. I never had the breakdown told to me like you explain it. So it would be better for me to drop down to 20.5 , My bikes were always custom when i was series at bmx. Now at my ages, i will just get a complete build. Been researching bikes and so far the Kink Whip seems like my best choice. Going to keep looking though.
Idk where u get this size a of rider to top tube stuff …yes in some cases but I’m 6’2 and ride 20.25/20.5 n do all kinds of tricks comfortably I did less on the kink gap xl ….

I’m 5’10 about 170 lbs… I’m undecided cuz I want full chrome moly… I’m assuming I’d want the whip xl but if I pay just little more I could get the switch… now both bikes are more than I need but shouldn’t I jus go with the switch??? Strictly cuz of the top tube size…
I'm 5 10 as well and 165 to 168 and this bike has been amazing to ride. to me personally the xl felt off to me when i rode it cause of the size
lol “aftermarket”chromoly? Buzz words. Theres no such thing as aftermarket chromoly. There are different grades of chromoly with varying amount of chromium, molybdenum and carbon. So if you have a stock frame of 4130 chromoly and an aftermarket frame of 4130 those 2 frames have the same strength. I think you need to dig a little deeper past the “aftermarket” part.
Stock “chromoly” frames that are included on a complete bike are just that. Aftermarket “chromoly” frames purchased as an aftermarket upgrade are also 4130 but typically include heat treating which makes it stronger, double butted tubing which makes it stronger and lighter, sanko chromoly which is more premium for higher weld strength, so respectfully you have no idea what you’re talking about

yeah i understood that 4130 is chromoly except for the back tubing that is hi tens? and full chromoly is 100% entire frame? is this correct

Id go 20-20.5. I'm 5'10ish and ride a 21" TT atm but gonna go down to 20.5 due to my riding style

Good to see this comes with hub guards. I could never understand why the Cloud didn't. A few things the Switch and Cloud/Downside have over the Whip are the female front hub and fork with a 1-piece steerer tube.

Got my kink whip 2025 on Thursday, and I'm not impressed. It just seems like it was the last bike thrown together in the last 20 mins at the end of the day. Not only was it put together so horribly. The chains so tight, that the crank barely spins. The grips came pinched and deformed. And my non drive side crank arm, was threaded at an angle, since Thursday I have messaged kink with no reply, hopefully Monday when I call them they will fix my issues. But really its super disappointing. After paying 765 for the bike and another 224 in shipping and import. To get a bike that just doesn't represent them in the least.
My thoughts with getting higher bars for taller riders is that you might wanna consider a longer toptube, and i know that's obviously more expensive, but i think you can still keep the geometry pretty similar to what you're used to

I'd like to know if there's any way of knowing the specific differences between the Williams complete frame and the Williams aftermarket frame. How much of a difference is there? I'm a bigger guy so I need quality on everything. You can see the different gussets were used on the top tube, But in my opinion the Goss it's on the complete look sturdier than on the aftermarket.
Is the Kink tactic frame any good? Seamless Sanko chro mo tubing with investment cast sest stay bridges, and investment cast dropouts. Please help.
The Williams has better cranks than the Street Sweeper, that's about it. I'd say the forks are similar.
What the hell is a 1.5-piece steerer tube on the fork? Cinema 444 rims are pinned. It should have the 888 on the rear, at least.

Perfect bike for the serious novice or intermediate rider. I say the guy who's been riding for 2-3 years and really practices getting better. Definitely better than a beginner bike. Anybody approaching four to five years riding needs to be on a pro-level bike they built. Just my opinion.
