You should try Indonesian knives also, mostly in Indonesia D2 steel use as slaughter knives. The most popular D2 steel for knife in Indonesia is Bohler K110 steel or SLD Hitachi. For bowie knife or chopping i usually use 6mm (or more) thickness because D2 steels are little bit brittle and not more than 58HRC for the hardness. Sleipner/Assab88, Caldie, or Bohler K340isodur have better toughness than D2 steel for Bowie knife but the best toughness are 5160, SK85, or 1095.

Ok I have a 1990 Toyota 4Runner w/ manual transmission 4x4. I have disc rotors on front, and drum brakes on rear. I use OEM Organic pads. I bled my brakes, my brakes work, no leaks. I don't have ABS. Sometimes when I slowly exit the driveway, I will tap the brakes and one of the rear tires will briefly lock up and release, leaving a 8" streak/tire skid in the driveway. Its random, it can be one wheel or the other rear wheel with drum brakes. It only happens at very low speed. Any ideas? I have new dot 3 brake fluid, I never mix synthetic with conventional brake fluid. I have that Load Sensing Proportional Valve in the rear on the vehicle. Its 34 years old, original. Could it be that? Its not my wheel cyl, they are new. They are OEM and I changed them myself, thiinking they were problematic. But they are not. The master cyl is original. But my brakes are working.

First note, Your title twice says "Trial" not "Trail": The SanMai3 has the high strength steel sandwiched for longer edge retention like the hardness of CPM 3V. Proper sharpening will give the knife the same razor's edge. SanMai3 is super strong and resistant to rusting. I love my SanMai3 Trail Master.

I had mine lifted a few weeks ago. 2" front and back. I feel the difference most when I get in and out. Nothing much changed in driving. Had to do alignment after the raise. I have more chance of avoiding damage if I drive over objects on New Jersey highways.. Now I'm searching for front bumper guard (2012).

Too bad it doesn't come with a punch that would be 2.125 for creating holes for automotive after market gauges.. Like a volt gauge or fuel gauge..The closest size in this tool is 2.375 ..A little sloppy over size for the gauge and may be too big.. That is all right..Not going to be buying it for the punches..Need it to use on the Lisle 17350 pipe flair tool for muffler fabrication

I think it's probably just the vibration that's causing the lock to fail in that case. I really don't think it would close like that if you were using it in hand. Great, affordable knife by the way. I have two S35VN Resilience that I use as my work knives and they're awesome for only $100 each

@4:48. HREW = hot rolled electric welded tubing. It's quite a bit cheaper and about 60% weaker according to tests by 4x Innovations. It's still good quality steel and still VERY strong. But DOM is king. Better finish, no weak spots. But it ain't cheap.
