But please my capture card downscaled the refresh rate of my monitor to 60hz (the monitor I use is a 240hz) and the capture card only shows my desktop and nothing sense not even my game

What does the first usb plug into? You just say yo unplug not that its plugged into anytbing afterwards
A USB cable has 2 ends, 1 end plugs into the capture card, the other end goes into an available USB 3.0 port on your PC/MAC.

@@Hellzreaper85 watch the video again and pay attention to steps 1-4. The first HDMI cable you are unplugging from your tv or monitor is coming from the back of your console (PlayStation, Xbox , switch etc)

Hey man, question for you regarding watching a KZread video with chat via OBS. Whenever I show a KZread video on stream, the video is very jittery almost like it's running at 1 FPS whilst the audio seems to come through fine. I've tried using Safari and Chrome but both seem to have the same issue. It plays fine for me, but it seems to struggle in OBS like it's dropping lots of frame to output to the stream, so I'm thinking maybe it's an OBS setting I need to change.

I'm not sure if this info still applies in 2024 since there's always updates to OBS. But I'm trying it out. And hoping for the best. I keep changing my settings and I find that it just doesn't seem to look quite right. I think everyone seems to have different advice which can be frustrating when you're just learning how to record with OBS and a capture card (which is my situation). I'll have to search your channel for possible updated advice on how to set up for recording using mac. I have a M3 chip on my macbook air and I wasn't sure what encoder to use.
All M series macs (M1,M2,M3 and even M4 and beyond) should be using "Apple VT H264 Hardware Encoder".

So if I have my mic plugged into my p5 controller and join party via Discord does the audio appear in the audio capture or do I have to add discord to the audio being captured ?

I have same card but when I plug it in to my new pc it won't show up anywhere on the pc but if I try it on my old laptop it works ?
You realise when you said "Put the HDMI Cable in the Output Slot" U put the cable in the input slot. I don't know if you mean't to say input, I was just making sure you was aware.

Do you have a video for the setup with the chat link? I AM LOST. I just want to connect my headphone/mic combo and have that coming through as well. It'd be great if there could be options to it as well...aka...if you're using discord this is how to get that to come through...etc

You clearly didn't do everything right if you "can't get your game". Watch the video again and follow the instructions closely. 1) If you are using a PlayStation make sure you have HDCP DISABLED Settings > System > HDMI > HDCP Disabled 2) Make sure your console is outputting 1080p 60fps. NOT 4K! Even though it can do 4k, you are only capturing in 1080p.

How to fix freezing?
Freezing is likely a sign of a bad USB connection. So Remove and Re Add the capture card via Video Input Device in OBS and make sure you have a good USB connection to your PC or Mac. Stay away from using cheap adapters or hubs. Make sure your capture card has a direct connection to the USB port on your computer. Get a USB A-C cable if necessary (if you have a mac with only USB C ports)
My video kept freezing until I changed the audio output mode to waveout and then used custom audio device to the capture card
Does this work for dual pcs?
Yes. You treat your main gaming PC like a console, and you plug an HDMI cable from your GRAPHICS CARD on the gaming PC into the HDMI INPUT of the CAPTURE CARD that is connected to your STREAMING PC via USB. EZ

Ive beaten returnal 20x over and this is genuinely the best few tips ive seen. A lot of people dont understand just how important obelites are. I get irritated when i watch people playing through the game just hiding behind doors, and only picking up like 1/8th of the currency, then not being able to afford anything.
I have a similar capture card but when I connect it all up follow set up instructions I get Not supported on screen on OBS ,is it something I am doing or what is happening 🤷🏼♀️

ok first off. This 100% works, every single time. Here is where you may be going wrong. 1) Check to make sure you have your console's video output set to 1080p 60fps. I don't care if your console CAN do 4k, you are not capturing in 4k. So the capture card can only support resolutions up to 1080p 60 fps. Unless the capture card can support above that. Which I STILL WOULDN'T DO! Because you can't stream in 4k on Twitch. 2) Make sure that you have HDCP DISABLED in PlayStation Settings. Go to SETTINGS > SYSTEM > HDMI > Make sure HDCP is disabled. After this it should 100% work.

How are you and your teammates talking? Over discord? Then you have to add your Discord as a separate audio input device in OBS.
The hd60S+ doesn’t work with OBS on my Mac,the audio for any switch game I play is very choppy & when I play any Mario game…it sounds like Mario is possessed and has risen from the pits of he||. The game audio works just fine on stream labs desktop, but people are telling me it’s trash and will wreck my computer.
You have something wrong with your setup because it 100% works with OBS. But Streamlabs OBS is no different
@@FornaTRON it’s set up exactly like it would be on stream labs & it’s driving me crazy because I can’t figure it out. It worked fine when we first got the capture card a year ago. I’ve done every audio fix there is, even asked a friend of my husband’s who is an elgato partner. He doesn’t know because he doesn’t support Mac.
i have this capture card and everything set up correctly but it isn't picking up my game's audio! the audio volume doesn't even show anything coming through and i've been searching for a solution for hours? is there something i'm missing?

How did u get all sounds correctly with mac os without an actual mixer?
You use the built in audio mixer in OBS
@@FornaTRON i have nzxt 4k30, and a gaming pc, and i can't do the audio thing at obs, capture card takes the talking audio very well, but when some music plays, it is not goin' well, and what do u mean "built-in", im trying to do with in obs everything, but i just can't, do i have to buy an actual real mixer?
@@muyusufatay why do you have music coming through your capture card? Separate all your audio sources and add them as separate audio inputs.

@@muyusufatay your mic should be setup on the Mac for audio from your commentary. If you are listening to Spotify on the PC, then the audio from that will come through HDMI via your pc to your capture card that is connected to your Mac. I don’t want to see another comment from you unless it’s a link to a video you uploaded showing how you have your stuff setup. So I can point to what you are doing incorrectly.
This might be a stupid question; however, do I have to plug in my headset to the capture card for my audio to be picked up on my stream? or could I just use my mic that is plugged into my pc? I'm wanting to stream my Nintendo Switch games and I do want my stream to be able to hear my commentary but I would also like to be in a discord with my friends...
No. Your setup is the way to go. Use your mic that is plugged into your PC/Mac. Make sure you have a mic that has a headphone port. Then you set your computer to output audio through the mic, that way you can hear yourself talk as well as the gameplay audio and discord audio.

Hello! Simple great video I love it! I also was wondering how I. Can get my voice over to the stream from my headsets mic when plugged into my controller, I have the same card and I just bought the legato chat link pro cable. Would I need to add another source for my headset mic audio for my voice? Or willl it transfer along with the gameplay audio?
Yes if you use the chatlink cable. It will bake all the audio from your headset mic and your console into one audio channel which would come through your "Capture Card Audio" Audio input device in OBS.
I have this exact same capture card but when I try to record it comes out very laggy, is it my pc because it’s not good, it’s low end.
Yea you should have a PC with a decent Processor (i5 from 2019 or later) or one that has a discrete graphics card. Not integrated graphics.
So I followed your instructions and got it working. However I began to record my video game and my recording screen froze and wasn't matching the picture on my console(The audio was fine though) . So I deleted all the sources and did it again and it worked. However, now when i try to reset everything to do the process again it doesn't even show my capture card as an available device. It just gives me nothing. What do I do to fix this issue.
If your computer is not seeing the Capture card that must mean the USB cable is not being detected as being plugged in. Reseat the cable. And make sure you are not using a non powered USB hub.
i have this exact same capture card but when playing games it only hears the voices of characters within the games it doesn’t pick up any other gameplay sounds of the environment such as music, explosions, or anything like that. is there a way to fix that?
Reseat the HDMI cable coming from your console to the capture card. Or replace it.
