  Does anyone know how to employ ECM in this game. The instructions are super vague about the benefits of using it. I can't seem to get any effect out of using it

  I remember I had a rough time during a sit in and wasn't happy in the slightest. So in Western Approaches during a storm, I managed to destroy a few submaines through gunfire alone, with two tribals.

  i think airstrike is the most effective Way to counter those instead of DD's If their in periscope Depth But the annyoing thing is that they dive to their maximum depth and thats really not cool its wastes my time hunting 1 u boat

  Don‘t waste your torpedoes! One is enough. Approach from the side and get into 1 turn torpedo range; thus you can target the U-boat directly. Works also with cruisers as long as the U-boat is tracked by a DD‘s sonar. Shooting: use big gun HE shells! You don‘t want the U-boat to disengage but to sink, right? In one BotA my Nelson sank 22 U-boats. :)

  The problem I have is that suddenly they “leave combat” a few turns after diving. Even if I got one of my own subs tailing one. 🤷🏻

  Thanks for a very helpful guide mate, but if used with the BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC CAMPAIGN I would like to add some important notes: 0:16 AIRSTRIKES: Can only be used usually on areas near allied bases. (such as in United Kingdom and N. America North Seaboard) Later in the war aircraft will not only be armed by depth charges, but also with rockets (such in the case of Liberator Rocket) 0:58 HEDGEHOG: Only becomes available on November 1942 with refitted ships 1:41 RAMMING: When submarine spawns close to merchants, the latter can do the job. If ramming fails (there is still little distance left) it will still be helpful since the enemy submarine will dive and be able to do nothing :) 2:12 DEPTH CHARGES: The conventional way. But to close on the submarine to depth charge it is quite tricky, but gets easier later on when you get used to it. :) 2:43 TORPEDOES: The ultimate last stand weapon. When the destroyer is about to be sunk or near a base where it can be repaired/reammo.

  Maybe give the lite version a try. That’s what I did when I first found this game. It’s what convinced me to get the full game. Although be warned, on newer IPhones the game doesn’t fit to the phones screen.
