Weather is getting worse in the summer. Homelessness is a problem. They’re building what we call cookie cutter homes super close to one another and they’re ridiculously expensive. Because the city is actively building these homes it’s difficult to get around the city in a timely fashion. There’s roadwork everywhere especially on highway 50. Food and gas are expensive too although cheaper than in the Bay Area. Drivers suck. Fastrak is extending their grubby paws to Fairfield for no reason other than to take more money from drivers. Amazon keeps building warehouses near the airport and may add another one near Folsom and Rancho. It’s slowly becoming a cash grab nightmare.
I recommend don't come to Sacramento rent is too high, taxes are ridiculous drivers are idiots

I agree on the late night scene. No nightlife and we like it here. I agree on the negative bus service ratting. But being a runner I can't disagree more on the walking rating. I run ten miles a day and Rocklin has some of the best runners courses and tracks in the state. The fairway/Stanford Ranch loop alone is 2.3 miles.
100% agree that Rocklin has some of the best trail systems in our area. I believe the walk rating is more referring to the day to day activities of getting groceries and going out to restaurants. Thanks for watching!

Horrible weather, terrible neighbors, no culture, Sacramento is horrendous and there are no bookstores justignoramouses.
Here's my tip for those with allergies: Fennel + Thyme tea. It has been almost 6 months since I drank these teas daily (replacing water) and my symptoms have completely gone. I no longer need to drink allergy meds or wear a mask to avoid pollen. After almost three decades of suffering from seasonal allergies, I will no longer take my doctor's advice since they are working with pharmaceutical to make money. Anyway, back to my point. Elk Grove sucks. There is no reason for Elk Grove's houses to cost $600k or more. One reason is because Bay Area and Democrats. I moved out years ago and am debt-free, paid off the house, and have just been taking it easy on my work and saving most of my paycheck. About 10 years ago houses in El Dorado Hill cost only $500k.

What are your thoughts on the new construction neighborhoods in Granite Bay? Whitehawk in particular. Love the content!
There aren’t many but Whitehawk is one of my favorites. They are beautiful homes, lot sizes are a little tight because of the size of the single story but love the location and price point. Let us know if you’d like to hop on a call and talk about any of the other areas

Great question, I feel like we have been very lucky for the past few years that the air quality hasn’t been affected by any wildfires. With that being said, recent there was one about a week ago but it only lasted for a day or so. I will see if I can find a resource that has some historical data on AQI scores for the past few years.

Thank you for watching. We have a pretty good hospital network. There are 2 in Roseville and 1 in Folsom. 1 in Carmichael and 1 Sacramento by Cal Expo. 1 in Elk Grove and we have a few in Sacramento. Everything from Kaiser to Sutter to Mercy Hospitals. We also have the UC Davis Med center and Shriners Children Hospitals.
SMUD is cheap compared to San Jose or any areas with PG&E.

Live in Jackson (Amador County), and commuted to Rancho Cordova for 13 years (state job). 50-60 minute commute. Avoids traffic, rural driving all the way. Listened to audio books. Depends on the type of community you desire. I live in a small Gold Country town. Reddest county in California. 👍 I’d move OUT OF CALIFORNIA if I didn’t like my town so much.

There are new clubhouse renderings/video for Madeira Ranch, as of early June 2024. There is no indoor pool. If you visit Turkey Creek you understand why... Underutilized and a sauna in the summer. Tentatively, a golf simulator room is in the rendering. Mel Roos is about 350/mo, property tax about 1%, hoa about 360/mo. Its not for everyone, but its a great, unique concept for ACTIVE 55+ retired/pre-retired people.

The upper part of Antelope near PFE RD/Roseville border is a good area.
Don't drive to downtown on WATT from Roseville or Antelope, the North Highland section has a lot of potholes until you crossover Highway 80.
I’d like to know are there Mello Roos and what would be the property tax in these homes because there’s currently no one living out in this community.
