  Your guides are amazing. Even if we dont have maxed weapons, They are still usable with a bit of finessing and carefully timed perfect blocks. The only one that gave me trouble was Cait Sith. I got to the Mind Flayer and staggered and delt as much damage as i could, but it had a sliver of health left. So I swung for a home run with moogle knuckle and he died before he could start his telekinesis. God i thought i was gonna lose. 😭 Thanks!

  This run is insane! How were you able to get Cloud airborne in between Zack's High Braver to make Cloud perform his own Braver? I've rewatched this video multiple times but still can't see how you do it. Truly an amazing run.

  The game refers to the action as “tag team”. When switching characters, if holding block, will cause a unique basic attack which also has the character blink on the target. Characters with aerial capability will also be forced aerial.

  For the ppl who just wanna finish this challenge. I used the same Build but insgesamt of berserk materia i used Guardian Angel (revives u when u die) and Instead of pirats accessory i used Ring of power (50 mag and phy def) Make shure u reach Iron Giant with Max mp…. And the Battle process stays the same….

  dang, i am slowing down playback to .25 I am still not sure how you did this. I saw Zack attacks but the button not light up or charging the triangle is button is not lit. Can you somehow explain it a little bit how you switch between characters and still attacking full on non-stop? No one can follow this as guide as it will just be a pure display of amazing skill without any explanation!

  Well, exactly. Not really meant to be a guide. But I can sort of explain for you. Zack has a basic string that consists of 5 attack inputs. At the end of each input animation, he gets that momentary access to quick charge. Knowing where the animation ends (recovery frames) for each input helps as that is when quick charge is available. Switching to a character cancels all their upcoming attack inputs so while Zack is attacking as AI you can switch to him and wait for that recovery frame section of his current attack and quick charge off of it. If you input another attack, you will not get the recovery frames until the end of the following attack. So you have to be careful about spamming attack. He can do the same with his hold square attack, and his aerial attacks. In addition, he can also do this during recovery of Chain Slash, Meteor Shots, Synergy Skills, and Spellcasts. Whenever he uses quick charge, the recovery of quick charge also has a special attack input called slash combo. This replaces his initial combo attacks to start a new attack string along with further charging the meter. You can’t quick charge off this attack however, so when the slash combo is performed, you must use an additional attack input to quick charge again if needed. With all this information, I know when I can quickly switch over to him while his AI is attacking or he is finishing an ability to initiate a quick charge and combo slash, then I can choose to switch back during the slash combo to maximize gauge gains or stay as him for the next move. And then for high braver I just know the timings for the inputs, so using the tag team attack as cloud into an aerial braver while switching back to Zack for high braver inputs is pretty enjoyable. I’m quite familiar with each characters combo strings. I know when their AI tends to stop attacking in the string, so I’ll often switch to them to get the later hits but let their AI perform the early ones for best ATB gains. Or even sometimes forcing them to combo by switching to them and then switching off after a couple attacks can cause their AI take over the combo instead of letting it end. Depends on the encounter and the current state of the enemy.

  Man you're genius, love your guides! Appreciate your work! Tried myself, but can't manage to stop enemies for the same duration like you. Minimum duration for stop is 10 sec plus 25% from time materia+magic focus plus 25% debuff extension = 15 sec total, using the exact same setup like you. Doppelganger doesn't seem to affect it How do you manage to stop for 20 sec every time? I'm curious because I can't manage to stagger joker, no matter how fast I am, the longest I get is 3/4 of the stagger bar, until I realized that my stop runs out quicker than yours. Max Party/Character level, weapon level is 8, but I can't imagine that the debuff duration increases for another 50% (or 5 sec) at max weapon level

  Are you using Lightning and wind - elemental on the weapon? If not that might be affecting stagger increases on joker if he staggers faster from wind damage. Another reason I could think is that you have to use her aerial ninjutsu kicks between the mug because they increase the stagger pretty fast compared to anything else she can do and is the main reason why mug was so useful here. In some of these runs I used Malboro orb, but not this one so yeah she only had the two sources for stop duration bonuses

  ​@@2052brad Yeah I'm using the same setup like in your description and following the same steps. I used to improvise a bit and switched cleansing with enemy skill for plasma discharge and was able to clear this bout with 2:32 finally 🙏🏼Got poisoned during Diabloic Variant, but it wasn't a big deal tho. The aoe lightning explosions with her aerial kicks worked pretty solid for staggering the whole wave, escpecially King Zu due to his weakness. Thanks for your guides and the reply and keep up the awesome work :)

  ⁠@@NecrogeXyeah he is forced to use the poisoning aoe no matter what once his life hits a certain threshold. And if you try skipping that with a stagger into a kill he has a health gate near the end of his hp bar, which is why I brought cleansing for resist and made sure he did that before staggering. Her ninjutsu aerial kicks are underrated, it’s honestly her best method to raise the stagger meter.

  Your videos are just incredible, and you don't rely on cheap tricks, you actually fight. Do you have any general advice for rulers of the outer worlds? Gilgamesh and Virtual Sephiroth kick my ass. I can sometimes beat gilga, but even if I do, my MP is expended. On Seph, I've yet to get him below half hp. I can block shadowy chains most of the time, but I can't always switch to the right character, when they are standing close to each other it's hard to tell which one he is targeting. Main questions are: Does seph have a pressure state? If so how? And is there a way to free characters that get binded before he Octoslashes? Also, Is there a way to kill gilga faster? He is such a sponge even if I stagger.

  @@Funtime-ez8ul i think the easiest way to clear bonds of friendship in terms of consistency is the wind mage build (like the one from optinoob’s channel). U can use my videos as a reference too but I’m a speedrunner and use a different build but i’ve cleared bonds like 200 times just for fun so i wouldn’t recommend it for first timers cause i dont use like fire+elemental, hp absorb and other things you should actually use if ur a first timer. If you struggle with any enemy in particular like odin n stuff practice the summon a little

  Yeah, I was pretty confused at first too. You just use the ability once to activate it, and then you can either use it again right away for level 1, or wait until the gauge that appears in Aerith’s status bar to fill up to use level 2

  I could consistently get to the last stage using this strategy even if my materia wasn't fully leveled up, but the iron armor kicked my a-- every time. I had to switch out the Precision Block materia with Healing and use the Plasma ability from the Enemy materia but with that setup I got it on the second try. It was pretty darn hairy though.

  Does boosting your magic stat help if you're using ATK-MATK switch? Doesn't all that +magic attack turn into ATK with the switch? Or am I not getting how that materia works?

  Yes. But I used divekick a bit too and even Omnistrike so it wasn’t a complete waste. Strength up will give magic attack and Magic up will give attack when using the swap materia
