I would bring her to the water and dip her beak in at first, but after some time she was able to move to the water on her own.

They are eating a mix with eggs and a variety of vegetables in this clip. I also grow sprouts for them and provide them a seed mix. I also have mealworms and oyster shells that I mix with their food occasionally but they don't like them as much.

Are you breeding for any particular reasons? Usually you would only breed your blackcheeks or only your fla. fancy or your fawns ect. You wouldn't let your birds breed willy nilly .... i suggest you keep a male and female aviary separate and select which pairs or trios you wanna breed to improve the genetics. @graffic13 thank you for your comment. I appreciate the suggestions and the video recommendations. I don't breed in individual breeding cages and pairs because I belive that the birds do better in an aviary setting. Most of the birds that I own have be paired up for several years some even before I owned them. For this reason I do not split them up and switch them around for genetic purposes. I would love to learn more about their genetics and work with more rare color varieties but I am not able to with my current flock. I do plan on focusing more in the different color varieties with any new birds I get. As far as mutts and inbreeding goes, the only finches I have are the zebra finches so they can't cross breed. I also have not retained many of my chicks in the past and if I do I don't keep related chicks to prevent inbreeding. This year I did retain one chick and plan to keep more in the future so I plan on separating my new and unpaired birds in order to prevent inbreeding.
