Looks good. Glad you kept the original fireplace, it has an art deco vibe.
I thought it would be a shame for it to go, plus fireplaces and wood burners seem to be on trend in the last couple of years.
Wondering if you watch Nick Morris on KZread? He has done some comparisons on kitchen and bathroom. Very interesting. My ex hubby is changing his carpet this year, we put it down in 1988, it was an expense we couldn't really afford, but it was a great investment! It may be a good idea to go to evening classes to learn some building skills, it will be cost effective.Good luck🍀
Never seen him. But a lot of these shops have the same suppliers, with a little detective work you can find some good deals on the same products. Everyone love fresh new carpet so I’m sure it’s worth every penny 🙏🏻
good video... subscribed! i am at 203 myself!
Thank you. Much appreciated 🙏🏻

What was the total
Off the top of my head I think it was between £19.5k-£20k. Maybe slightly less as I got a refund on some excess materials.
AirBNB, HMO's, Rentals or Flipping?
I don't find much interest in tenancy-type real estate. As, they seem limited in speed of growth, scalability and overall, strike me as inadequate for my plans. Also, some property flippers seem to prioritise money over quality, meaning that a lot of the time with standard "property flippers", all you can expect are superficial upgrades and temporary fixes, sometimes described as "putting lipstick on a pig". In that sense, a "Property flipper" is a bit of an umbrella term. As, on one hand, you have the "get-rich-quick" flippers that use some of the methods I aforementioned, and others that actually put in the work to make sure that every aspect of their house is of a certain quality and ready for their customer. I suppose there's a clear distinction between a "flipper" and an Investor. As for my approach, I think I'll start with buying fixer-uppers, and handling most of the renovations myself (I could also change the house to my primary residence when I buy it, and after renovations, I could live in it until my second house is liveable, or for 2 years, to avoid capital gains tax). That's just the beginning though, my long-term goals include much larger-scale developments. Progressing meticulously yet steadily. Currently, I am unable to take this step in my plan, not only as I haven't yet reached the prerequisite steps, but I simply am not old enough and don't have enough saved yet.
@@AceCinematography sounds like a plan 🙏🏻
I can’t believe you don’t have 100k+ subs! This video is very high quality
Thank you, you’re too kind. Maybe one day!
Great positive review. Interesting as I just watched one from someone else who said the Emirates service was very slow and the staff not very friendly.
Oh really?! I thought they were really good and couldn’t do enough for me. Way better than any BA flight.
Hi Scott what area was this in?
This was in Cambridgeshire
LinkedIn where are you
Thanks for this. And I can clearly see your passionate hatred for paper work! 😂
There’s just so much of it! And a lot of it needs witnesses or legal advice. Pain in the ass but it’s had to be done.
#TinOfWhitePaint.....
Big time.
Just returned from a trip to Thailand on the 380 business class and the plane was looking its age with a lot of cosmetic damage This is not what you expect when paying the premium for business class.

That’s not good! I remember seeing online emirates did a refresh of their cabin fairly recently, but I guess they haven’t done the whole fleet.
I'm planning another trip later this year. Hopefully I will have better luck with the plane .
Mahogany seat? It's fake burr walnut .... mahogany is a deep shade burgundy

Thanks!
Please keep that fire place 😮

It looks amazing! Nothing beats the original fireplace, it adds character
@@auroraborealis4320 yeah I love a good fire place
£1000+ in skips in London.
Jeeez. Is that because of council permits or something?
@@scottxgibson Just what they charge. Stripped a 3 bed flat last year down to the brickwork, did include a small brick wall so one skip full of bricks. Took 3 skips at £300 each. Often see other refubs needing 2, 3 or more skips.
@@sirrodneyffing1 I guess it does depends on what’s going in the skips too. In the past I’ve neatly folded carpet and stacked laid the kitchen bits all flat to try and make the most of the space. Made the job take ages. But looked neat 😅
Solid transformation in that time frame bro!
Cheers. Fortunately everything ran to schedule and everyone was available. I thought it was going to take 6 weeks originally, thankfully it was much quicker 🙏🏻
I work in tech and have no idea of specs, just as long as the equipment worked and could be ordered from an online store. Great video
Thanks for the kind words. That’s my thought process too “does it work” if so then that’s good enough for me. Before I had my laptop stand I was using a box of envelopes and an old cd case as a coffee coaster 😂.
I'm looking at taking an _Emirates_ Business Class flight, or maybe even First Class, from Sydney to Tel Aviv. For the price, it would want to be good.
You’ll love it. I’m not a fan of flying but I’d happily do this trip with Emirates all day long. Let me know how it goes!!
@@scottxgibson thanks... likewise I am no longer excited by air travel. Maybe I was when I was younger, but after years and years of flying, the excitement factor has gone and I find travelling can be quite stressful after the novelty wears off.
You really think a 3 week freshen-up would add £40k to the value?! You wouldn’t even be able to achieve that amount of profit with a loft conversion 😂
No, it’s more. It was won at auction for 172k. And since had offers after renovating at 240k.
Show me the money!
I can’t hear you Jerry.

I Like The A380 Business Class Product And The Bar.Great Video
Thanks for the kind words. The bar is amazing. Wish all planes had them!
Great job Scott and great vid. Really interested in following some of your projects. Love the no BS, simple, honest approach, cheers.
Thanks Gordon, hopefully I’ll be on the next big project after the summer.
I’ll be watching mate. I’m looking to get into flipping, so will be learning from your vids
@@gordonadam7051 if there’s anything you want me to cover in particular let me know.
Boring set up!
Any suggestions then?
I like that this feels like a normal person's setup 😅 wall or desk mount for the monitor is always a nice upgrade
Thanks! I dunno why some people go mad with like 4 screens, an iPad and all that. 😂 good shout about the monitor mount, would help make some space.
Just subscribed, dope quality and can't wait to see the improvements I your setup
Thanks 🙏🏻 I’ve been looking at a desk and potentially a new laptop. Mines running slow AF.
Nice and simple! My only add would be a nice plant. I find them calming to look at 🥰🌱
I have a tiny one in the window. About 15 in my office unused 🙃
Perfect video for what I am doing right now. I have a couple small online businesses and my youtube channel so I am building a similar setup. Thanks for ideas mate.
You’re welcome. Glad you found it helpful. Hope the businesses do well🙏🏻
Indeed very cozy! Nothing crazy or super fancy. It’s very practical and cost-effective, which I like. Super tired of setups that cost many thousands of dollars. Nice video!
Thanks! I know what you mean. It seems like a lot of people spend thousands on stuff that doesn’t really do much…. To me a keyboard is a keyboard 😂. I used to have a coffee cup coaster that was just an old nirvana cd case.
The reason for not getting an amenity kit was because you were on a "day flight".
Oh really? I didn’t know that. I’ll try a night flight next time 😂
That seems a bit cheap of Emirates, considering the ticket cost 😂
@@KZreaduseless you’re telling me 😂
No you have to ask!
Sorry my mistake I was on a long flight😅
i fly in 10h for the first time with emirate business im so afraid..
You’ll be ok. I hate flying too. But this was the first time I ever enjoyed a flight! Let me know how it goes.

Turns out the chair is some kind of Herman miller chair 😅
It all looks lovely but didn’t it feel a bit enclosed…. Not sure I like not being able to see around. The food certainly look appetising and tasty. All that champagne lovely.
The constant champagne was amazing. The seating setting up is for privacy, but I thought it was very spacious and didn’t feel cramped at all.
I've flown the 380 many time and it dose not feel enclosed at all
Hi, I agree with you on the service on the Emirates a380. I am flying tomorrow from Dubai to London Heathrow in Emirates a380 business class. looking forward it especially the onboard bar and the Vodka and Espresso Martini. Cheer.
You’ll have a great time! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous 😂
