Alcohol 100% + Cigarettes. Aka Nicotine. I am glad to see that nobody here is talking about having a Cigarette addiction like it was back in the day. When you could smoke on airplanes and dentist offices etc. "ooh lets go buy a pack at the vending machine"... So something is for the better. Alcohol for me 100% .. Tried most everything else and it just made me feel light headed... It had no effect at all that i was like " oh wow this is a miralce"... That did not happen. Alcohol however did. Good luck! <3
Alcohol for sure. Been there since day one and AA and all this.. Alcohol is the only drug that can kill you if you go cold turkey from it. Withdrawal symptoms from severe alcohol addiction, is your whole body goes into shock. Feel like you have diabetes problems.. You eat and do everything else but it keeps on.. And then its the delirium tremens at 3am.... Whatever is in your mind and dreams will F with you.. And you sweat and sweat.. And you have diarrhea... And this keep on for 5 to 10 days... It does not sound like much... But those 5 to10 days.. Are going to feel like you're going on a rollercoaster ride of hell. *And if its more severe go to the hospital.. Because detoxing from severe alcohol addiction is no joke. It can kill you.

I've endured this since late 2020. Spent all of 2021 and 2022 on failed attempts with multiple antipsychotics. Tried keto in 2023. Lamotrigine in 2024 made a bit of a difference. Now on Mediterranean diet. Shall be starting clonidine shortly.

I think its between Benzo's, Suboxone/Bupe or Opiates. And then how long taken, mixed with other drugs and many other factors. However, Kratom can have terrible withdrawal taken long enough in high doses. So it all depends on the big picture.

Ive been addicted to heroin (14 years clean) and benzos. (Tapering from 25+ tears of everyday use. H and Oxys (opioids in general) wihdrswal is a walk in the park compared to benzo withdrawal. Alcohol the same as benzo but ill prefer it cause is shorter af compared to benzos, like year(s) faster.

Just try to manifest your mindset day by day slowly and surely teach your mind and yourself that you can forget and quit it. Without doubt opioids are the worst, I’ve withdrawn from benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, previously and I thought that was bad, oxycodone is by far the most horrific withdrawal, personally so bad, that I don’t think I’ll ever be off them, I am on a very dose, the over stimulation of the nerves as they start firing up from no dopamine, lungs fill with fluid and sputum, oesophagus spasms, that feel like your choking, sneezing and shock inward breathing, the pure agonising pain nerve, bones, muscular, stomach aches, perfuse sweating, vomiting, the restlessness, legs and arms, the mental pain… you literally would rather die, that be tortured by it. It’s terrifying even thinking going without, causes anxiety. They are a brilliant pain relief, but the cost once your dependent, I truly salute anyone who has got off any opioid medication, your very tough. It’s just too unbearable agony for me.
Drink water and Gatorade!!! I was having to dose every 1-3 hours or esle i would be rocking back n forth and vomiting!!! But once I started to force myself to drink water and Gatorade for a few days i could go 4-8 hours and not feel too terrible!! It makes all the difference!! I am almost to the point i can transition to the suboxone!! I have been through this many times before but i finally realize that water is the best thing you can do to help!! It’s still not easy tho trust me!! But this is the best advice i can give to anyone going through it!! The restless legs and arms!! Plus the nausea and vomiting isn’t nowhere near what i have felt before when i wasn’t eating and drinking during my detox!!

The problem of the twelve steps program is that it will make u a slave again but not for the addiction but for the twelve steps . U need to holy tghe program and u need to keep going there ur whole life . And that's is very despaired.

I am not an alcoholic and i have seen many people (some of them are my friends) beating addiction on their own . I did not agree with the twelve steps approach but i still see it very unique

I don't know why it's so hard for the people who believe in the twelve steps to admit that their program doesn't work for everybody . The program always say stay away from being selfish while the program on it's own is very selfish system because the program always claims "i am the only way and if u tried another way u are in denial " And that's too much funny honestly ! Mine never ends. I have flashback that can be bery intense. But otherwise its as if im always on a dose of a concoction of hallucinogens. It effects many things i do usually not badly bu driving is not much of an option. Depth perception going 35 mph or more is impossible to calculate. I can't even walk across a highway without wlmost geting hit sometimes. Its been 3 years since it happened, only has gotten more intense. Dont be afraid of the trip, you have a special gift in this world, you can explore your mind deeper than most, just be in the present. Otherwise you get stuck in thw past or future. Just thrive and be alive
