Hi! I'm Jamie and I am a street art-obsessed, crochet artist/literature enthusiast/travel addict. I have lived in 6 different countries around the world, travelled to 29 and have recently added videography to my list of hobbies. My videos are primarily about the travelling I do, but also the events around the places I am currently living in. Follow along to see what I get up to!

Where is this mineral pool
It's at Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan, Canada. Just off the #2 highwayd
Two months back when I was planning to Visit Malaysia, while scrolling on KZread randomly recommend your video and since then this place was my go to location and I made it lately. @Aamsafar-25, Felt truly amazing to be here. Thanks!!!
Wow, that's great! Did you get to see it after dark?
Yeah, But unfortunately it started raining during sunset, So I just took some pictures from far away and I also shared this experience through my video with people on KZread.
@02:24 nice slo mo
😂
Murakami is my favorite author 😌if you haven't read anything else and want to dig further, I would suggest Kafka on the shore or Hard-boiled wonderland and the End of the world :) I like your stamp book !
Yes, great author- I really enjoyed The Windup Bird Chronicles and will definately read those three! How did you come across his books?
@@onceuponaglobe It was years ago ! My mother offered me Kafka on the shore as a gift if I remember well 😊 I've read every single one if his book ever since
japanese sun umbrella gotta be one of the best souvenirs / gifts
Oh yes, they are gorgeous!
I hope your next destination is Bangladesh🥰🇧🇩
We're interested in Bangladesh a lot. I've heard so many good things but I've also heard bad. How is it there at the moment? Is there a lot of civil unrest at the moment?
@@karlbrady71 Now everything is fine.I recommend you to visit Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong and Cox's bazar🥰🇧🇩
I would LOVE to visit Bangladesh. It's high on the list.
@@sayedrahman8314 That is good to hear. A few weeks ago, we had a taxi driver from Dhaka. She was very proud to be from Bangladesh; she recommended we visited Cox's Bazar too.
I'm not a souvenir shopper, I always find the stores tacky. That's why I really like your Tokyo Ueno book, it feels authentic. It is an actual souvenir as opposed to a knick-knack that looked cool at the time...
Thanks! The book is pretty authentic as far as souvenirs go. Although, I thought the 'souvenir' stores in Tokyo weren't tacky at all (unlike in other places). The items in the stores in Tokyo were generally locally-made, quality pieces that I would enjoy having (if I had a place to keep them).
Beautiful street art in Toronto.
My favourite was the panda eating maple syrup that's on the thumbnail photo 😂
@@onceuponaglobe Wonderful. 😀
Wait there is so much amazing art!
So much! 🤩
they have a free night - admission to the AGO is free the first Wednesday night of each month, between 6pm - 9pm.
That's good to know- thanks!
Hiii 🙋♂️
Hi! 😃
Did you visit the National Art Gallery the last time you guys were in KL? Petronas also has its own art gallery but it shifted from Suria KLCC to a new location. About a decade ago, there was an area at the lobby of the old train station for the local artists to exhibit their paintings. I haven't been to many of the art galleries in Malaysia or elsewhere, but so far, my favorite is the art exhibit and giant paintings at Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain.
No we never made it to the art gallery in KL unfortunately, I'm sure it would have been awesome. I've heard of that art gallery in Madrid- is it the one with the Maman sculpture outside (the big spider)? Or is that somewhere else in Spain?
@@onceuponaglobe Perhaps, whenever you guys are back in KL, you can include a visit to an art gallery in your itinerary. Sorry, I couldn't remember the sculpture that is in front of the Prado museum. 😀
Beautiful discovery.
Is this show for kids?
No- it's 18+
What a wonderful video. It must be really good to be back home in Canada.
Thank you! It's a strange feeling to be back in Canada this time, since when in Toronto it was still a new location for us. It felt like travelling, but also not because we can speak the language 😅
@@onceuponaglobe Hope that you guys have enjoyed your time in Toronto. 😀
Wow your seats had an epic view! We LOVE baseball games and it’s on the bucket list to explore Toronto and this stadium.
A Blue Jays game is definitely a must-do in Toronto! It was such a great day out. I'd love to see other professional baseball games. I've heard it said that there are no bad seats in in the Rogers Centre. The tickets we bought were on the less expensive side, so I was expecting the view to not be as good as it was, but it was spectacular!

What a wonderful lounge.
It was! Especially after everyone else left 😅
@@onceuponaglobe Wonderful. I always enjoy the free food and drinks at an airport lounge when traveling on business class. 😀
@@Yasin_Affandi exactly! It's so interesting to see what kind of food there is in the lounges of different airports. But business class... that is a whole other level that I hope to achieve some day!
@@onceuponaglobe Hopefully one of these days you guys can get an affordable upgrade to the business class seats and enjoy the lounge. My few experience on business class seats were all sponsored by the Malaysian government. 😀
interesting and informative touring of "ASPIRE LOUNGE at the Calgary Intl. Airport" looks most calm and delicious @2:52 😋😋 loving the location @5:05 super video ! LIKE 👍👍
Wow thank you! 🥰
I don't think I can see the volcano but I'll never forget that view of Mt. Fuji

What a beautiful street art in Paris. I wonder which city in which country, first started the street art. In Malaysia, KL and Penang have some beautiful street arts, and almost all cities in Malaysia have their own street arts.
That is a great question. You could say cavemen paintings are street art or 'wall art'. We did a tour of Pompei and there was a lot of street art in that city too. I imagine it has essentially been around since people have been around...
@@karlbrady71 Appreciate your information and knowledge of street art. I remember decades ago in KL, it started with a wall graffiti at the river bank near central market. Who would expect, KL now has amazing street arts, I think mostly near the Chinatown. But more than just that, on the side of buildings, on the pedestrian etc. You guys enjoy your weekend. 😀
@@karlbrady71 I really admire the different styles of architectures in Europe especially in the big cities and also in the charming villages. Some walls of the traditional houses in Europe also have wonderful paintings almost like a beautiful street arts. Let's say, if someone walks in Paris, from one point to another in an hour, I would probably take more than few hours, stopping to admire all the details in architecture, so much intricacies from the facade, and that what happened when I walk along Gran Via to the HRC in Madrid. By looking at the emblem and crest of the premise, I remember about Tony Buzan book, what people used before the creation of numbers. I was falling for Europe, hoping whole heartedly for a posting to Europe, alas got Mumbai instead, not my cup of tea, not a conducive environment to broaden my horizon, alas, I got to see more UNESCO world heritage sites, much more than what I've seen in Spain, but the ones in Spain, have a better definition for my future. I guess you guys are very lucky to be experiencing the beautiful places around the world. C'est la vie. 😀
@@Yasin_Affandi Thanks mate. I'm sure we will be back in KL one day. We'll look you up!
@@karlbrady71 That sounds lovely. Thank you. 😀
Bonjour. What a wonderful video.
Merci Beacoup. Nous aimons Paris!
@@karlbrady71 Merci beaucoup. 😀
You're so kind!! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
@@onceuponaglobe Thank you guys too. Are you guys going to be in Paris during the upcoming Olympics? 😀
No, unfortunately not, but I wish! The videos are a little bit behind real time, so we've left Paris already.
Bonjour, Mademoiselle, Starbucks, Merci Beaucoup, 🌐🎭🌟⭐🌟⭐
Merci Beacoup aussi! Il y a beaucoup de belles choses a faire a Paris. La Luminescense est formidable!
A good friend of mine, a U.S. Air Force Vet, who served at Minot AFB, had a clever response to the question, "Why not Minot?" The response was: Freezin' is the Reason.
Haha! I love that! It's so true... 🥶 but I would still have braved the cold for a weekend there.
What a lovely day in Disneyland Paris.
Thank you.

You look very happy with your Beignet!
Couldn't have been happier, really. 😍
Happy to see you guys happy. 😀
I walked past these all the time as a teenager and never appreciated them. Thanks for showing me the beauty of my own city.
I like to think of myself as sporty but cross-country skiing is tough. A gentle slope could easily beat me.
Absolutely, it's much more difficult than it looks.
The Duoro valley is beautiful; we could have spent a lot of time there. The local food, cheeses, nuts, and wine was delicious.
Yes, it's a place we need to go back to.
Seeing the wolf tracks was great. Really makes you feel like you're in rural Canada
It really was rural Canada.
I was really impressed with the city putting this on for free!
Yes, Regina really tries to promote its winter activities.
The statue of liberty was a real surprise. But Pokémon donuts were the best.
Psyduck!!! Donuts shaped like other things always taste better....
Bonjour. Wow, what a lovely iconic landmark in Paris. Merci beaucoup.
Looking at you next to the camel really shows the size of these animals.
Yes, I'm pretty sure they are one of the larger breeds of camels.
That puppet show was a bit out there...
It really was... I liked the one that was playing with a ball.
Great festival. I would highly recommend this festival to anyone wanting to see a real Indian festival!
Yes, I wish we had been able to attend more events during this festival.
Darlings, too much walking !
Sooo much walking... 😵 but Paris is one of the best places to walk so it's not too bad.
Never! Walking around Paris is the best part. It happened so many times where we turn a corner and see an unexpected beauty. I love the metro but if it is less than a 2 hour walk; we're walking!
Bonjour. What a beautiful city Paris is.
I would dare say it is our favourite city. Do you have a favourite city?
@@karlbrady71 Wonderful. Not really. I only visited Europe once, and that was Spain. I had visited Madrid, Seville, Jerez, Torrremolinos, Malaga, Granada, Sierra Nevada, Cadiz. I fell in love with Spain and tried to seek a posting to Europe, however, I only managed to get Mumbai. I also fell in love with some of the UNESCO world heritage sites in Spain, like the Plaza De Espana and the Cathedral in Seville, Al Hambra in Granada, the Grand Palace and Prado Museum in Madrid, the history of those places are truly amazing. I think France also has dozens of amazing UNESCO world heritage sites. One day, I truly hope that myself and my loved ones will be able to visit Europe especially Amsterdam, London, Paris and Switzerland. My late eldest brother been to Switzerland for a culinary examination. Only my late parents had a tour to Europe and they been to the Eiffel Tower. 😀
Never knew this existed inside the Arc de Triumph
We didn't realize it either! Such a pleasant surprise.
It's a great museum inside; you guys should check it out next time you get to Paris
Bonjour. Wow, it's so beautiful.
Thank you for visiting my city 😊

What a wonderful exploration in Paris.
Thanks! It's probably one of the easiest cities to have a good explore in.
@@onceuponaglobe Sounds lovely. Merci beaucoup. I tried to follow my late parents footsteps, holidaying in parts of Europe, had fun on top of Paris on the Eiffel Tower. When the time comes, the shoe will fit. C'est la vie. 😀
Wonderful, looks amazing. Theres soo many things and food to check out. Have you had the fresh tandoori chicken and butter chicken? Also, try out the local dishes from each state.
OH the food! 😋 I loved Indian food while we were there... we tried as much as we could but there is so much to try!
@@onceuponaglobe Theres a huge list of things you must try when in India. At least 50 items.
Visit Goa kerala and kashmir!
That's where we'll be going on our next India trip for sure!
Hope that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay in India. You guys made some incredible content.
I only spent few days in Delhi, and one day spent for an excursion trip to Agra. I only got a chance to walk pass by the Red Fort, drived by the Lotus Temple, and walked halfway to the Mosque, it was near an Eid, and the massive crowd along the way with open markets, made it impossible to reach the mosque, and we turned back out of the jam packed crowd. But I managed to visit the Gate of India and Qutb Minar, had some delicious briyani etc.
Hope that your next trip to India will be a more rewarding experience. Although I've been in Mumbai for 3 years, I only managed to visit some places. Few of my favorites were in Goa, Allepey and Kovalam in Kerala, Jaipur and Udaipur in Rajasthan and my best traveling experience was in Himachal Pradesh during winter, in Manali, Mashorba, Manali and Solang Valley. I also had a chance to visit Delhi, Agra and Chandigarh. Also been two weeks each in Bengaluru and Chennai, handling official trade and investment mission from Malaysia. My best working experience was two weeks preparation for my 3rd handling incoming trade and investment mission from Malaysia at the Taj Palace in Mumbai.
Thank you! It was a fantastic experience and we will be back for more in the future.
Wow! Yes, the crowds in Delhi are no joke, that's unfortunate that you had to miss the mosque because of it though.
That sounds like a good few places you visited in India! I really want to see the south, Kerala and Goa next time.
Wow. What a wonderful place in Paris. Hope that you guys have had a good time in Disney Paris.
While I was working for the KLCC project at the site office, there was one consultant that had worked for the Disney Paris project.
@@Yasin_Affandi Wow man, sounds like you've been around too. Do you still get to travel much?
@@karlbrady71 Nowadays, not really. Being staying low. My last short holiday was to Langkawi in 2015. 😀
Thank you- it was as fabulous as always. What were you doing for KLCC? That must have been an interesting project.
@@onceuponaglobe Fabulous. I wasn't really anybody in KLCC. I was the executive secretary to the MD/COO, managing his office and his time management, ensuring that the KLCC met its objectives, within budget and time scheduled. I joined KLCC in 1993 at the beginning of the foundation, migration to the Petronas Twin Towers in 1997 until full completion of the KLCC project in 1998. It was a once in a lifetime working experience. 😀
