Mini PCs can change how we can do computing. PCs can be hidden behind monitors, replace IoT devices with stronger security and easier maintenance. I want to help people learn about tiny low power devices that can make their lives easier!

    Really basic stuff but not anything that would need high quality graphics. You really want to look at a mini with at least a Radeon 680 for entry to serious gaming. This machine is really meant for home computing

    Nice review, my question is it is capable for editing photos using software like photoshop, lightroom and others?

  • @MiniPCTechnology
    @MiniPCTechnology2 ай бұрын

    Good question. Since it supports 4K it is capable of photo editing. What you would have to look at is what each program’s requirements are. For instance, Lightroom requires at least 8GB of RAM but recommends 16 GB. So although the 8 GB model might work OK, if you’re serious about this, you might want to get the 16 GB model.

  • @MiniPCTechnology

    The machine to run this is too expensive for most of what I am reviewing. I found one for about $1200 and it still didn't meet the specs. Here is where I found the requirements: store.steampowered.com/app/2479810/Gray_Zone_Warfare/

  • @MiniPCTechnology
    @MiniPCTechnology2 ай бұрын

    OK I may have found one, The graphics card meets the minimum requirements and it's not crazy expensive, just a few hundred more than the UM790. Again I haven't reviewed it, it is a bit bigger than most of what I review, but maybe you need that for this game as it requires a beefy graphics card: amzn.to/3QAgmPS

    @@angrewewewewe I should do a video on this. But if you look behind the monitor, you should see connectors with labels on them like RS-232 and DVI. You want to connect with one of them. RS-232 look for an HDMI to that converter. For instance HDMI to serial (that's the name for RS-232) converter, HDMI to DVI converter.

    I have a roku on both of my TVs as well, here's why. The roku supports AirPlay, neither of my TVs do support that natively. So I can stream from my Windows 11 Mini directly, or from my iPhone using the Roku. But I agree, a lot of the apps on the Roku are sad.

    Yes there are 100's of mini pcs out there.I can't possibly buy all of them. I own 2 and bought two for a relative and manage them for him. They are relatively painless to work with. What I do is do the research including looking at what people who bought them think. And look to see if the specs fit what people need for specific tasks. Like Home Theater.

    can it run FL studio perfectly? for music production studio

  • @MiniPCTechnology
    @MiniPCTechnology4 ай бұрын

    I have never run it but according to this it can be run however it says the more powerful the CPU the better it will run www.image-line.com/fl-studio-download/ This is not a very powerful cpu. I would ask others who use the package. The developers are a bit vague but I don’t think you’ll be happy with this mini.

  • @MiniPCTechnology

    I did a little more research. Based on this i am not sure any PC I have seen could run this package “perfectly” www.pugetsystems.com/solutions/digital-audio-workstations/fl-studio/hardware-recommendations/ According to this you could buy the best CPU on the market with a great graphics card and 64GB RAM and it may not run it perfectly You would need to define perfect and then see what others are using.

  • @MiniPCTechnology

    This video was completely improvised. There is a tech term called a “server farm”. That’s a group of servers that can be interconnected to perform a bunch of functions. When I started out in tech we built a group of servers for a government project. Thirty servers took up an entire room. Today 30 servers would barely take up a single rack.

  • @MiniPCTechnology
    @MiniPCTechnology6 ай бұрын

    @@rootcanal7188 So I have never used a mini pc as a battery-operated device; only where there was an AC source. Need to do more research on that and when I do I will make a video on battery operated mini pc and/or batteries that are portable enough with enough power. I have several mac minis and have moved them from place to place and help a relative with a low end device. But I do have a portable monitor that I have been using and happy with. amzn.to/3tSKrCp - AOC I1659FWUX 15.6" USB-powered portable monitor It is an older model but I bought it in 2018 and dragged it with me all over Europe. A few months ago that cat knocked it off the table and the frame came undone; I pushed it back together and it still works. To use it with a mac or mac mini you need a piece of software called display link. It works great, inexpensive, is relatively lightweight at 2 1/2 pounds but is only 2K. Note as before, this is an affiliate link. Hope this helps! mike
