  Took a X4 on a vacation. Great camera if you want to travel light. What I would however like is to have a 8K 180x180 module that I can use between the powered selfie stick and the X4 and control them as one

  Not the first time that we've seen 10 bit video in a 360 camera - Kandao provided it on the Qoocam 8k. There seem to be several features in common with that camera, so let's hope that the problems aren't also shared. I'd be interested in a comparison between this and the 8k to see if they've fixed the problems and how they compare, but Im in the minority of people who still have the 8k. At least they are using a removable battery on this camera - it prolongs the life a lot if the battery isn't ballooning up inside the camera.

  Thank you for the heads up and looking forward to the review! Either way, from the start I will assume that the editing and software features of the X4 will be faaaaaaaaaaar superior to the QooCam's. My question is, will it be possible to import the QooCam's files into the Insta360 desktop studio app? The reality is that for me 50% of the user experience of using Insta360 products is how awesome and easy it is to edit on their software. Thanks again :)

  Great post thanks ! What specs does my phone / laptop need for always being able to watch my footage in the original highres preview and not the proxy preview ? And to be able to export an edited 4K 5 minute video (from heavy bullet time 120fps footage) fast in just a few minutes ?

  and insta360 is clearly making the X cameras bigger and heavier each generation, i would not be surprised X5 will have inbuilt GPS and a bigger lens.

  The most important difference seems to be the following: + Less/no overheating + More battery life + Security strap for Go3 - Go3 has no quik capture am i right? - Go2 & Go3 can be both mounted with case If anyone knows good atachements for motorcycle handlebars and helmet I BEG YOU, let me kow.

  Someone also needs to figure out what to do when filming a 360 virtual scene instead of standing awkwardly nearby in all the videos. You can't leave your expensive equipment by itself, and you don't want to stand underneath just holding it in the air... (This is not criticism of The 360 Guy, this is something I am trying to figure out for myself)

  Someone should write software to pre-render the video in many types of saturations/luminosity/highlight levels and when you move your head to look at something bright, the highlights dynamically change

  The X3 can live stream but the X4 can not. I hope there is a software update soon to change this. 😢

  Cool video thanks. The handle of the 3m stick is not fully invisible above the fist holding it (even when extended to just 1,5m) . Is it because it is thicker than the distance between the two lenses? Need to find a way to solve this.

  There's a suction cup mount which works well for cars. Also use a metal stick not a plastic once

  Question. Do you save all your raw unedited files to your computer and just pull from your hard drive when you need them? This has been my biggest hurdle using the camera. Just managing all the footage. I tried saving everything from my SIM card to a Dropbox account, but the files don’t work after being saved in the cloud, so I’m unable to come back and edit them later. It seems I have to keep everything on the SIM card until I’m ready to edit. The problem with that is once the sim is full, I have to delete everything to get new footage

  San Disk Extreme, which you labeled "too slow" is actually only 10mb/s shy in writing speed then your "pro". Its 130 vs 140 mb/s The Extreme, if its original, works just fine with the x4. Even Insta360 itself recommends the "normal" Extreme.
