You just bring up topics that are worth thinking about, instead of instantly solving the issue. It’s not exactly in vogue in the online world right now to slow down enough for this kind of thing. During my 40+ years of my adult life, I learned that life is full of many different phases. And each phase has its expected "speed" as well. This is normal speed being age 25 and working towards a better future life. Letting go of perfection is what will definitely bring happiness in one's life! I have so many hobbies but I wouldn't say I am very good at them. But it doesn't matter. The joy of creating will forever be more fulfilling than being "perfect". I stopped impulse buying years ago. Asking yourself, if you REALLY REALLY need something is so important. Not only with clothes, but also with art supplies. "Do I really need that better aquarell colour pallette, or is the one from middle school just fine?" That has helped me a lot. I only buy things when I surely know that they are functional, will be used for many years and will last a long time. Anxiety, hypersensitivity and self consciousness is really eating me up, but taking small steps towards the right direction is very healing for me. Just picking up a book or doodle in my notebook is enough to just feel a little bit better in the moment! And that is exactly what it's about, filling your everyday life with small magical moments. Just like you described it, finding moments of peace and presence in the midst of your everyday life. Thank you for another amazing video ♥

I grew up in a big city, Brooklyn, NY but I’ve had life experiences in many places, including living surrounded by lakes and countryside. There is a vibrancy and energy in larger cities that still excites me. We now choose to live our lives close to our grandchildren, in two very different localities. Big cities offer experiences that the quiet countryside just doesn’t. I love to see art, culture, food, and shows. Walking in a large city is invigorating and energizing amongst the millions of people. This year I spent time in Bangkok and KL, last year it was India, between discovering the food and culture, I can appreciate more people on this amazing planet.

The algorithm put your video in front of me so I’ll add a comment. One Danish philosopher, Soren Kierkegaard said that true contentment is not found in material wealth but in a state of inner satisfaction and peace. He suggests that even the smallest amount of contentment in a person who has little is worth more than all the riches amassed through greed. One of the apostles, Paul, said “godliness with contentment is great gain”. Both of these individuals seem to back up what you are saying, namely that mindful living doing the things important to each one of us adds more value to life than chasing after great riches! Thank you for your message.

@@JacquelineWester I am very happy for you to have discovered what simply works best for you. There are plenty of ppl out there who only discover their "true purposes" well beyond their 40's. And still, there are those who actually _do_ feel perfectly happy in a more materialistic lifestyle. Find yourself and what suits you, if it works, it works. Wish you all the best.
Hej hej everyone, I hope you are doing as well as you can ✨ I've always been a high acheiver and set impossible standards for myself to strive for. As the years go by I've started to shift, slowly but surely, and I feel more and more at peace with just being me 💚
Hi guys! ✨ This is a little different style of video, I hope you enjoy it! I often think about stuff during the days and so I wanted to make a video and catch more of the thoughts in the moment. Also you get to follow me along doing different stuff during the week 🥰
Hej hej everyone 🥰 I've had some thoughts about this video for a while and felt like it was time to get to it and make it. I can often catch myself thinking that I need something else, be someone else or be somewhere else, in order to get started with things I want to pursue in life. Have you ever felt like that? ☺Or even to change things in life so that it becomes more aligned to where I want to go. But really there's no reason at all to wait for any of that, because it will all unfold with the actions of doing 🙏💛
'they' say power corrupts, but it is ambition to power that corrupts. you came into the world with nothing and it is certain you will leave with nothing galatians6;3 if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself
Yeah it's the only with we really know isn't it: we will all leave this life and we're not taking anything with us than memories (at least I'd like to think we take those with us)
@@JacquelineWester as far as I understand, memories are of the brain and dis-solve ( horizontal), whereas consciousness/'experience' move upward ( vertical ).

Thank you 🙏

Will Rogers said it best when he said "do the best you can and don't take life too serious."😊
I agree, one can always change one’s mind if one wants to. Very few decisions are final 🙏
I love how honest you are and I love what you are talking about. Something similar happened to me. I left Vegas to live in Mexico. It taught me a lot and brought me back to nature. It’s funny how we don’t see anything outside of the city illusions when we are in the middle of it
Oh that’s quite the move! Why did you end up choosing Mexico? 😄 Yes when we’re too close to things it’s hard to see clearly
@@JacquelineWester I moved to be with my husband. He is Mexican ☺️ but I had no idea how much it had to teach me. I love your story! I subscribed!
Oho that's wonderful! 😍 Are you enjoying the change so far?
@@JacquelineWester yes it has been so hard though. It finally forced me to face my demons and so I’ve been healing all this time. But finally getting better!! Did you go through that?
I'm happy to hear that! 💕 I've been meeting some of my demons for sure, but I'm still thankful they haven't been too bad (others have faced a lot worse, even though I don't think one should necessarily compare)
This video was so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I've been experiencing burnout over the last few years, it's been building and building, and I keep wondering why I am so exhausted and unable to do anything. Thankfully I am seeking help through therapy. Burnout is an important topic that not enough people talk about. We're always rushing and putting so much pressure on ourselves to perform in every aspect of life, even when we are supposed to be resting that we end up not really resting at all! Thank you for sharing your journey and tips on managing burnout as well. Wishing you all the best <3
I'm sorry to hear that you're in the claws of burnout too, it can really feel hopeless when you lay down just to realize you can't move again to get up. Soooo good that you're getting help though! It's been so great for me to get professional help so I hope you get better going forward as well 🙏
The algorithm is actually our audience.. I saw a whole video about that from KZread explaining, that all the algorithm does, is to link people who actually watch our "kind" of video's and content to our video's.... That is all the algorithm does... Link subjects to people who actually look at that kind of content 🌹
Yes! It's very interesting, especially with the YT algorithm I think ☺
@@JacquelineWester true! And we just keep doing what we love, even though it can take years to grow on KZread 🌹I think the right people will eventually find us, I hope haha 🤓🌹
Thank You!

In one study, 7 of the top 8 countries listed as happiest in the world are Nordic. In The Nordic Model: Standards set and followed by Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden characterized by high living standards and low-income disparity merging free-market capitalism with a generous welfare system. The citizens of these countries all highly rate key factors for happiness: Social support Freedom Generosity Trust in institutions
Yes I recognize that 😊
This is sort of wrong information. I like calm nature but I also like busy city life too. It’s possible to be flexible.
Yes it absolutely is ☺

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences 😍 It sounds wonderful to live close to your grandchildren, it must be so rewarding to see them grow up 🙏
The algorithm put your video in front of me so I’ll add a comment.
Thank you for taking your time to share! I really appreciate it 🙏 I believe that if we don't complicate our lives too much, and focus on what we have, we are happier.
@@JacquelineWester You’re welcome, Jacqueline. Thanks for covering such an important topic! Here are a couple more things that can improve happiness: 1. Enjoying the moment 2. Feeling contentment or satisfied 3. Growth mindset 4. Social connections 5. Being an agent of one’s happiness, do not make it dependent on another person 6. Having a dream or purpose 7. Health and well-being 9. Inner enrichment over material satisfaction 10. Positive outlook
