Surely this is more about the needs of the coach to shape the agenda, rather than honouring the best hopes of the coachee

A lot of closed questions! The coach is leading the client, which is unacceptable. Sorry.

There are many reasons why I LOVE the coaching education programs, Erickson International provides, yet there is one that stands above all: it’s about the people who have not just internalized the programs created by Marylin Atkinson, yet also live it every day. They are coaches by heart - changing the world, one conversation at a time…

Good video... offer free sessions when you are learning and need practice is functional. But when you have good skills, to keep offering free sessions can became an ethical issue. So don't be shy and respect your own value! Thanks for the video.

Thank you Ron and Dermot for this beautiful interview. So many nuggets of gold. Some notes: FEES: *** What makes saying the fee stressful is the MEANING we attach to it and what we think it says about US. Why do we feel stressed when saying our fee? It can be neediness, fear. We don't feel the same stress when saying just numbers. *** We want to practice the fee until the nervousness and awkwardness is gone. Practice, practice, practice until it's just the number and emotions are gone. Ways to pick a fee: * Competitive (looking at what other coaches are charging) * Financial (figuring the fee based on how much money you need to have a good life) * Value-based (change that I'm expecting my client to make) *** Once you know the fee, put all your attention on the value to the client and what working with you will get THEM. The biggest mistake coaches make: charging for X months instead of the result the client will get or the problem they want solved *** What does Ron say to the question "What's your fee?" "I don't know until we talk and I know your situation and what result working with me will create in your life." *** The fee objection is most often not about the money. Are they COMMITTED to making the change? CHARGING FOR THE RESULT Outcomes > time-frame/n of sessions supporting those outcomes Example: a surgeon is charging for the outcome instead of time spent operating First understand what the client wants to do and then the length of how long it will take to achieve it LEADERSHIP *** The fundamental of leadership: you need to think of yourself as a leader. "I am a leader to my clients". We are leading them through a process of constructive, positive change. *** What to say if a prospective client questions how long it'll take or what it'll require? The clients are not qualified to judge the appropriateness of required actions BECAUSE they still have this problem. They are inside of it. How would a surgeon respond if a patient started questioning length/treatment required? *** How to get stronger with leadership? Remember that you are not here to lead or serve EVERYONE. Only your people. *** If they are not paying for that, they are not actually going to receive it. Money commits. *** The biggest objection the client has is the very issue they need to address to transform

Thank you for your engagement and your insights I can absolutely agree with . The only point I would like to make a comment on is, the vision you gave in your talk at the end. I believe it is very important to envision what we want to create and not to spread fear and envision exactly a future that we don't want. Especially for coaches it is important to not come from a place of fear and to know and consciously practice with the power of creation and manifestation. If we all believe in this dark vision - how are we really going to change our future in what we ACTUALLY want it too look like? So please start to draw and envision, coach and believe in what you want our future to look like. And stop spreading words, thoughts or images which do actually not align with what you actually try to help transform our world into. Blessings to you and thank you again for your wonderful work!

This woman should have her training certificate revoked. There are so many falsities in these videos. First off, the chart is of a normally-organized person, not a right-handed person. While there is a high correlation of right-handed people who are normally organized, many right-handed people are reverse organized. And no, a left handed person would not be opposite. A reverse-organized person would be opposite (while many are left-handed, some are not). Also, when a person looks down and to the right in Ad, it does NOT mean they are "down in the dumps." Auditory Digital is, by it's nature, dissociated from senses and other representational systems. It is lacking in any kinesthetic, as "down in the dumps" would be classified (though, an Ad dialog could LEAD to a kinesthetic). This video has unfortunately mislead over 5,000 people now. I hope people seek more credible training.
