  I will never put my mother or my father in a nursing home .they took care of us why not do the same for them.

  Why would that selfish Bride expect her father to pay for a wedding BUT NOT ATTEND. My father, my step mother & mother all attended the same weddings. Grow up. She should have paid for it herself, but to accept the money? All families have problems!

  So... The daughter silently builds up years of resentment and anger towards her father because he fell in love with another woman. Expects father to pay for an expensive wedding, and doesn't invite him to it... Then she gets livid because he cancelled? So the daughter can't go out of her way to let him be happy but expects him to go out of his way for her to be happy? No no no no.... You ain't gonna pay YOUR money for an event you aren't even invited to. I'd have told her to go F herself.

  Good for him. I would have canceled it also. If I can't be invited to the wedding, then, do not need my money.
