That is so tiny, but just full of gorgeousness!! I love all the ephemera and beautiful details inside!
Thank you so much! Nana K used to do a lot of miniature work and dollhouse pieces. Her ability to make small things look luxurious is amazing. We're glad you enjoyed it!
The green 2-page spread is beautiful. Shared. Wonderful work.
We are glad you like it. Nana K did say that she is very fond of those particular pages in Journal JR. 😁
Something that small, delicate, and intricate has to take the patience of SAINTS but it is so pretty. Love it!
Thank you!
That is a gorgeous little journal!! I've never seen one this size that's this ornate. I love it.
Thank you so much for being here and spending time with us. We appreciate your comments!
That is so cool.
So beautiful! 😍
Can you give us a template to use to help mark some cardstock to cut the Karen spiral out of?
I'm sure Nana K can make a downloadable file for that.
Very cute! Tea is a great gift, especially since there is so much to choose from
The pocket or envelope can be made bigger to hold more tea or different items such as a small aroma sachet, air freshener card, or small packet of bath crystals - the theme of the page can be changed to match the gift. Gift pages are great fun.
A gift page! Love it. The tea theme is just right for all that.
You did such a good job of the folds, as well as the side piece with ribbon. TFS. 🌻🌻🌻
Thanks! (Nana K here)... I was so much more happy with the band holding the ribbon. That works better!
NOOO NOT THE FINGERNAILS!!! PESKY GLUE!!!
My mom has a pincushion tomato just like yours!!! Wow that brought back so many memories seeing that, me and my sister played with it quite a bit when we were kids. I like the contrast you have with the dark pages in there. I know you said that you wanted more writable space, which is totally understandable, but the scattered dark pages, to me, give it a rustic storybook feel. I like the contrast :)
We like the contrast also - and it's also a break-away from the consistent "frilly" approach to junk journaling although we certainly like both styles. It's nice to shake it up. Hang on to that sewing tomato - nothing like the real thing! That's awesome.
Wow, a 101 year old postcard. So cool to see Nana K repurpose real history and bring it back to life
My daughter pointed out the other day that the Halcyon Hotel in Miami was demolished not long after that postcard was sent. I didn't know that about the postcard till she looked it up. That adds another significant layer of value to that card for many reasons. We'll be selling this journal as a reference journal at the end of the #JunkJournalJuly2024 session so we'll have to be sure to include an information note about that postcard to the new owner!
What a creative repourposing of a delicious cracker box! Those crackers are some of my favorites ❤! As for the prompt, to me it sounds like inspiration. Like, what 'sparks' your creativity. Its an interesting choice for day 1, as i think it could really help guide the theme of the overall journal. Another fantastic video, Nana K! Off to the next!!! (I have to binge watch to catch up LOL!)
Thanks so much! 😊 We do tend to reuse a box for the cardboard but also have repurposed actual hard book covers in our projects. Happy journaling!
How the heck do you rip paper strips so straight???!?! I can never do that, they always wind up sad and crooked 😂 and omg that coffee cup at the end was TOO CUTE!
Nana K said, "Just lucky, I guess" lol.
Does the coffee dyed paper smell like coffee?
Hi Mom🌹
Faintly, yes. When it is freshly dyed, it is pretty strong but it diminishes over time to almost nothing of a smell.
I forgot to ask, where in the world did you get an Asian newspaper? I had to do a double take lmfao ive never seen one before
I have some too
@@drwho6908 that's pretty cool! Where did you get them?
If you see Asian food markets in any town they will usually have some newspapers there from several different publishers.
@@EricHillPaperCraftStudio ooooh ok! I'll have to check one out sometime
@@EricHillPaperCraftStudio Thank you. ❤ I never thought about this. Of course, even in Germany they have the newspapers with the beautiful writing in the asian food stores. 🤦♀️
Another inspirational video! I'm also loving the background music you have, it's very soothing ❤
Glad you enjoy it!
I have to go fold newspapers now. 🤣
So cool! Love it
We love Queen Anna Lee - that Paperintable (TM) was just perfect for this prompt!
The Queens are so pretty! Love the look of that page. <3🥰
I was wondering how I had not thought of doing that before. It's so cool 😊 ❤❤❤
The thought you put into this is incredible. How do you come up with this stuff? I mean, the prompt is for label and I was thinking jars of food and stuff like that - I would never have imagined something up like labels on hats and all the DETAIL. wow. I def subscribed. Hope some of your creativity rubs off on me lol.
That's BEAUTIFUL. Awesome work Nana K!
Thank you so much!
Wolfie is such a darling. Where did you get the stamp?
Believe it or not we rescued him from the Not a Dollar Tree!
Lovely and that DANGLE! lol
omg I have to have one of these. I drink coffee all day and night and craft just about as much. I'm in love with this one! <3 <3 <3 <3
You should! Here's the direct link: www.crafttoys.com/products/junk-journal-makers-mug-black-glossy-coffee-mug-gift-for-junk-journal-makers-or-junk-journal-lovers
I just laughed when I saw that I ain't the only one that sees EVERYthing in the bin as something I can use in my journals. Reduce and definitely reuse. I won't see sugar packets the same way anymore now.
That's it. Just get started. It's so much fun and there are so many things like this that you can do with just some paper and some scissors. There's fun to be had and it turns out so cool.
This is so awesome!!! I’ve wanted to make a junk journal for so long!! I have all the stuff so I think I’ll start one :D
Wow I love your setup! Been watching your videos from the beginning, and they are giving me so much inspiration! Keep it up!
Awesome! Thank you!
Me too. Some craft rooms just look inviting and "homey". Love this one and all the stuff she's done in it so far.
Ooh the lace pocket is such a cute idea! I will have to try that myself! Another great video
Please do! It will be a great addition in your journals!
Love these techniques, so cool!
Glad you like them!
IKR? Part of junk journals is to give new usefulness to things that otherwise would be discarded. Im always fascinated by watching junk journals being made and how pretty the journal s are giving new life to scraps! Thanks for this reminder about repurposing materials Eric! You guys rock
So true! I recommend looking at our latest video about weaving paper strips - we get TONS of paper strips from trimming signatures! Weaving them is a GREAT way to use them!
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Great way to put trash to use. I like it.
And we get to actually enjoy something AGAIN. 😉
