Since the freelancers dont even need to be lawyers why not just use paralegals or people from another country like India. Seems like a race to the bottom.

Not really worth it from what ive looked at. The price for projects are grossly underestimated in that practictioners expect alot of work done for little pay.

A contingency fee or a "bonus" structure is unethical in many legal fields, especially criminal defense. Its also impossible to guarantee a result in most areas and again this is an ethics issue.

I imagine that depends on your jurisdiction's laws for attorneys, but you can't practice law in the US if you're not on a bar.

@@prashantwadhwa92I know I am late to this but the answer is yes. Because you’re not “practicing” law you’re doing legal work for someone who IS practicing the law. Basically you’re a ghost rider. It is still the responsibility of the lawyer who hires you to check the work and whatnot.
