Thanks Mario, appreciated. Tried skoki in 3 weeks after and had to bail. We were all moving slow out there. Redid part of the trip the week after and the knee held up great, kept it small instead of the loop.

Great video! I'm planning to do this trail next year and was wondering how much time it took. Is it a steep upwards climb then flat? Thanks!
@jasonegervari8 жыл бұрын
thanks, it's a great trail, round-trip was 5-6 hours for us, took a bit longer as 1 guy twisted his knee. I didn't find it that steep overall, steepest being in the woods(maybe a hour) but once your out above treeline it's worth it, and felt that I didn't really realize we were still going up as the views are very impressive.
@jamesballack44268 жыл бұрын
Jason Egervari Thanks! I'll definitely try it next year. I've been reading up, and it looks beautiful.
@jamesballack44267 жыл бұрын
One other thing. Which way did you take? I know there are some different lengths or loops and am not sure which one to take. I know Celeste Lake is one option, but I've about a hut that you can stay at to. I'm willing to go far, but not the whole length. Thanks again!
@jasonegervari7 жыл бұрын
+Creekchaser 911 we started at the hostel just before the falls, it's shorter then celeste lake but a little steeper. I did the trail to twin falls on a different day as couldn't book a campsite as they were full. Otherwise would have done the loop including whaleback. Going Celeste way is kinda boring unless you like trees or it's a rainy day, there are a few waterfalls but nothing beats the alpine. Either hut or little yoho campground would be good for overnight
@jamesballack44267 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the help! So there is the Little Yoho campground along the iceline trail?

Amazing picture of the scenery!!!! :) love the picture at 10:21. Wow so you can drink water from the falls in the Canadian Rockies???
@jasonegervari8 жыл бұрын
Yes and no, depends on water source and location. This is glacier fed so you may get some silt. Although this was very clean as long as you use moving water the rocks are used as purifying. I got the water just before the last waterfall we seen and neither of us had any stomach issues from it
@janesheartsong6 жыл бұрын
You can get Beaver fever otherwise known as Giardia infection in some parts of the mountains. It is a nasty parasite that gives you diarrhea for weeks and can take a while to get rid of even with antibiotics. Remember the last clean water disappeared from the planet decades ago. It might not bother you, but...

+123danyk123 I'm sure it is, think this was last week of June as they put on mandatory group access after that, lots of bears are known to be in the area after that, we did see 2 that day, but they were off in the distance. it would be a great spot to setup a tent though for sure if parks canada allowed it there
