One of the reasons why a whole month is dedicated to folks on the lgbtq+ spectrum is because for hundreds of millennia they have been shunned, shamed, or slaughtered, none of which our U.S. soldiers have endured to that degree. I'm not saying that our veterans didn't sacrifice, but LGBTQ+ people have as well
