  Hallo, ich habe die koax variante gebaut und habe bilder die nicht besser sein können, dann habe ich eine kupferrohrvariante gebaut, aus 12 mm rohre, die funktioniert nur fehlerfrei, wenn sie auf dem kopf steht , warum auch immer, ich habe sie aber richtig gebaut, vielleicht hat ja eine eine idee warum das so ist, wenn ich sie richtig anbaue bricht in regelmäßigen abständen das signal zusammen und kommt dann wieder und ich weiss nicht woran es liegt. gruß dirk

  Das ist mein erster Kontakt mit Arduino und Co., ich hab nun alle Teile da und möchte die von dir bereitgestellten Daten über Arduino IDE aufs Board hochladen. Ich habe nichts verändert und alles so übernommen. Bei mir steht als Fehler: "Compilation error: DHT.H: No such file or directory"

  dir fehlen die Bibliotheken wurde ich sagen für den DHT, frag mal google oder schau in der ide einfach nach dht22 im bibliothek manager

  @@TysonpowerDe Hatte bisher immer 12V aus einem Netzteil, Lüfter ging an, allerdings ging das Display nicht an. Nun habe ich nach Wochen probieren spaßeshalber mal noch den USB Port mit Strom versorgt, siehe da, Display geht an, allerdings kommt steht seit einer Stunde start testing.., wo liegt der Fehler?

  thanks for this tutorial! One mention I have to make, after you put everything back you pressed too much on needles and now the red halo effect on the center of the arrows are not visible anymore. You can look for differences at 01:02 and 03:25

  After a long search to build the QHF and the lack of the right tools, I decided to order an antenna from you. I will do this soon as soon as I have money again. I'm broke right now lol.   Hallo, interessantes Video. Ich habe versucht das nachzubauen, muss aber sagen das es in diesem Video (wie auch in anderen Anleitungen) viel zu einfach dargestellt wird. Das korrekte Verlöten der Kupferdrähte ist eine sehr nervige Angelegenheit mit jeder Menge Frustpotenzial. Das Testergebnis der Antenne war bei mir auch nicht unbedingt das was ich mir vorgestellet hatte. Meine alte DVB-T Dipolantenne liefert weit bessere Ergbenisse. Da stellt sich dann für mich schon die Frage, warum man sich diesen Aufwand und Ärger antun soll, waenn man gute Antennen auch im Internet kaufen kann. Glaube mit den online verkauften Antennen ist man genauso gut dran und hat weniger Ärger

  Glaube du hast einfach nur einen schwachen Lörkolben 😜 Also das löten fand ich echt nicht schwer, aber wenn man sowas noch nie gemacht hat oder keinen guten Lötkolben hat kann es schon was nerfig werden, da hast du auf jeden Fall recht. Heutsotage (das Video ist ja schon was älter) kann man für unter 10€ auch einfach eine "ADSB PCB Antenne" kaufen, ist fast genau so gut.

  @@TysonpowerDe, da hast du recht. Beim Lötkolben hatte ich gespart. Danke für den Tipp mit den PCB-Antennen, ich werde mir so eine besorgen. Habe auch gelesen, dass diese ebenbürtig sein sollen. Man muss da wohl auch realistische Erwartungen haben - sehr viel mehr als 150 bis 200 Meilen wird man als Hobby-Spotter kaum rausholen, egal mit welcher Antenne ;)

  @@user-ns2ks7kk7p also ich hab meist so 350km entfernung amximal, manchmal aber auch mehr mit der PCB Antenne. Hat viel auch mit Standort zutun, bei etwa 400km ist sowieso vorbei, da ist dann die Erde im Weg :)

  @@TysonpowerDe PCB funktioniert sehr gut. Danke für den Tipp! Hatte damit erstmals einzelne Detektionen in über 200 Meilen Entfernung. Etwa 30 Prozent mehr als mit der alten Antenne.

  würde das auch bei Spiele Funktionieren z.b GTA wenn man da die MP3 einfügt oder verknüpft eventuell das man da im Radio das echte Radio hat?? leider funktioniert der eBay link nicht mehr.

  Hallo ... ICH bin am überlegen ob ich es nachbauen werde. Habe einen BME280 da. Luftdruck und was der DHT 11 auch kann. Lässt sich der anstelle vom DHT11 integrieren und was müsste angepasst werden? I2C...

  Wäre cool wenn irgendwer das mit dem Verkabeln und den Loops nochmal genau erklären würde. Du hast es leider auch nur beschleunigt. Mein Hirn ist irgendwie zu dumm um zu verstehen wie jetzt wo die Kabel hin müssen.

  I can see that 3 pins are used for testing. Which is +12V Dimmer and GND. I can't see if the yellow is the bottom or top line. I will soon have to repair such an instrument unit with this error. Thanks.

  Yeah that should work, but i'm not sure if the contrast is good with white LEDs on the Screen, but you can try it with a flashlight when the dash is disassembled.

  Awesome. I believe the series 3 cars have the white multifunction display. I wanted to ask what the four orange diodes in the lower left of the multifunction screen were for? As it seems the entire multifunction screen is red? Thanks!

  @@blakehourigan6149 The orange LEDs are there to display Issues/ warnings, they will be displayed in Orange then :) But yeah, white should work

  Just search on Ebay for 3528 smd leds and get the color you need :) I used white.

  Sounds like a cold solder joint to me or you installed an LED backwards.

  Hey Tyson. Man da hast du aber gute Arbeit geleistet. Sag mal hast du auch ein Video, wo du mal Step by Step zeigst wie du das alles abmontierst ? + auch mal die Tachonadeln justierst ? Und sag mal kann man auch einfach andersfarbige LED´s in die Matrix für den LCD einbauen ? Mit freundlichem Gruß Alex

  ne, zündung aus lassen, stecker am Tacho ab, fertig. ob der strom von allem auf einen schlag weg ist oder nur vom Tacho wenn der Stecker gelöst wird macht keinen Unterschied

  Hey! Cooles Video! Baue mir aktuell auch einen Serverschrank. Was sind das für schienen die du für den größeren Server dort benutzt? Ich baue aktuell einen Storageserver und frage mich welche schienen ich nehmen soll, oder eine Do-It-Yourself lösung baue, bei der ich einfach nur eine "Unterstützungsstange" unter den Server baue... Eventuell hast du ja einen Tipp für mich? Gruß Chris!

  Hello. Do you explain somewhere your code? Ex. How does your code correlate its position with Az/El. How and where is the conversion? How do you initially set the settings so the code knows where the antenna is pointing since you are not using GPS, Digital Compass, Encoders or Potentiometers for that purpose?   Hallo, Ich habe mir vor Kurzem diese Ground Plane Antenne für ADSB 1090 Mhz gebaut. Verwendet habe ich dazu Kupferdraht 1,5mm. Als Empfänger nutze ich einen RSP1 (China Clone) und SDRuno 1.41mit entsprechendem Plugin. Als Tracking Software ADSB Flight. Als Antennenkabel verwende ich H155 - ca. 7m. Als erstes habe ich die Antenne ohne Vorverstärker unter Dach betrieben und sofort zwischen 15 und 20 Flugzeuge verfolgen können. Dann habe ich einen kleinen Vorverstärker (100Khz-6Ghz von Aliexpress für ca. 17,00 Euro) dazwischen geschaltet und bin dann auf max. 45 Flugzeuge gekommen. Das Bemerkenswerte ist, das dieser Verstärker bei höheren Frequenzen effektiver ist als bei niedrigen? Kurz: Die Antenne funktioniert überraschend gut, ist leicht zu basteln und der Vorverstärker dafür zu empfehlen.

  So, jetzt habe ich das Ding auch mal gebaut. Empfangsleistung sehr gut. Allerdings hatte ich das Problem, dass durch das heiß machen des Flansches sich der Kunststoff im inneren Bereich des HF Steckers zusammengezogen hat und das Röhrchen im Innenleiter zusammengedrückt hat. Dadurch ging der Stecker nicht mehr ins Loch rein! Daher ist das Verschrauben an den vier Enden des Flansches wohl die bessere Lösung, die man auch oft in anderen Bauanleitungen sieht. Naja, ich musste also den Innenleiter aus dem HF Stecker rausholen und das Loch im Kunststoff etwas größer machen. Dann wieder zusammengefummelt und dann ging der Stecker auch wieder rein. War aber nervig.

  @@Handmadesystem did you check if the serial monitor shows anything strange? the startup period will take a few seconds where the fans will spin up to 100%. After that the screen should switch.

  if you power it up it goes to zero. So just power up, power down, adjust needles, power up. done :)

  Hi Tyson I need help...Me and my friend changed our SMD Leds onour Peugeot 307 and Alfa Romeo 147....in both cases(cars) after some time,led that brightens FUEL GAUGE on BOTH of our cars completly shuts down, and then turns on, then off etc...we have soldered new LED on places intended for fuel gauge on both of our cars, and it works for a day or two...then it shuts down (only fuel gauge led shuts down, rest of them work fine) then it turns on but does not work in full strenght etc. Do you know a possible issue? Why only our FUEL GAUGE LED turns off itself (after we took out our first LED we soldered...it was workiing...we tested it on a multimeter and it was working fine)

  this could be many Things sadly, either a cold soldering join or the pcb is damaged ( sometimes it is only the leds like my Giulietta, it can happen that even the pcb gets damaged over the years). What happens when you power the dash and shake it or similar? when it then goes off/on the pcb maybe the problem, that would be unfixable

  Why is the center conductor of the SMA connector soldered to the shield of the LNA? You should have soldered ground to the shield.

  it is not soldered to the shield...the sma connector is a flange that is screwed into the groundplane. so the inner conductor is connected to the helix as it should be.

  when i remember correctly i tested it with the flightaware stick, but due to the internal lna of the flightaware stick it does not work great. The real usecase is to connect this lna to a normal rtlsdr without internal lna what gives good reception. I still use this lna to this date, now with a airsoy sdr on it and it work very well

  @@TysonpowerDe Yeah, I'm currently using the Blue FlightAware stick which is pretty darn good in it's own right with the 1090 filter and LNA, was just curious if anyone tried it with the blue one. I assume the one you referred to in the video was the orange FlightAware stick right?

  @@TheGeeMan yeah, but i would recommend a rtl-sdr from rtl-sdr.com with tha lna or a airspy. It's better than the Flightaware sticks in my experience

  @@TysonpowerDe I already own 2 RTL-SDRs, I could always pick up the RTL-SDR ADSB 1090 LNA and compare the performance between that and my FlightAware Pro Plus stick, but I'm not too fussed, during the day it seems to pick up quite a decent amount of planes. I'm definitely keen on picking up an FM and AM filter to use with my RTL-SDR, and see how that goes with improving my ability to hear those fainter signals buried under all that radio station noise.

  Hi Tyson, Nice job you did!! I'm getting a other facia's for my cockpit from Italy, and the revcounter will be yellow, (like a Ferrari) I want to change my leds to ice blue, and the second last one of the revcounter to Orange, and the last one to a red LED. Do you know wat the Voltage is on the board for the LEDs? And what pins do i need to connect to test them, before i place the cockpit back? Thank you for your reaction!   hi, the voltages of the leds are slightly different by color, but that shouldn't matter. They are connected in series, so the voltages should be okay. I would recommend to just give the whole dash 12v on your desk as i did, then you can see if everything works before you mount it back in the car.   it's just a few clips ands screws, nothing fancy really. Just unclip the plastic nobs on the case and it will come apart :)
