(I’m from Margate, which is basically east London-on-sea. I grew up elsewhere though so I don’t have the accent but I do go back there often. It’s worth a visit if you haven’t been) So, in my personal experience, a cockney conversation often goes like this: Alwight mate? How you dooing geez? Family all sound? Fahking too right, bruv. Fahking tellin ya but I’ve been fahkin havin a go at it recently and I can fahkin tell ya, mate, it’s been hard as fahkin brass cheese, my brother. Fahkin seriously mate. So basically all you need to do to sound cockney is be overly friendly but sound like you’re about to start a fight, ignore the letter G entirely unless for emphasis, use fahkin or cunt in every third word in a sentence and you’re fahkin sitting pri-e [pretty] you clever little cunt ain’t cha

✨
Very Australian for some reason? Keep at it mate.
Today I (accidentally) found out that my TypeScript biggest reference as developer used to be a voice coach 😆
Since i watched “trainspotting”i fell in love with this accent
Good, but a lot of it is straight Lancastrian & even shared with Yorkshire/generic Northerner
Who is here because they want to sound like soap from call of duty
fuck, this is so much fun and a great way to spend a cold lazy public holiday arvo in buenos aires lol lol lol ...... is this the accent from the monarchy?
I'm scouse but live in London the lah has got a flawless accent im so.proud that people want to copy our beautiful and unique way of expressing ourselves long live the scouse socialist Republic ynwa
it doesn't matter where i place my tongue on that line, my s sound is not clear
You forgot - drop all the H's at the start of words
I'm Scottish, but I live in New Zealand. So people who are from NZ say I have a Scottish accent, and people from Scotland say I have a New Zealand accent. Occasionally my Scottish accent just appears for like a sentence really strongly. So I might just pick a side now, or learn both haha. Any extra tips for a Scottish accent?
As a Scottish person, does this video capture an accurate representation of the accent?
I asked Perplexity how can I improve my British accent listening and it brought me here .
Sounds like an English man trying to speak shite
I watched some UK show and a guy was speaking in Liverpool accent, I found it very amusing and interesting, that’s why I’ m here🤷🏼♀️😃
It goes even fuhdah. Do everything he says, practice like crazy, (practice what he says, don’t just go listening to actual people!,) then go to your audition, say “fuhduh,”, then go home, wait for the call, and the next day go back to delivering food on your bike.
Hey. I'm making a character for my dnd game. Do you think you can maybe help me out?
Me here because I’m auditioning for Oaken in my schools production of Frozen lol
Four years and no video. Are you dead?
wow thanks so much for this!
In a loud place my voice just disappears, even if i shout the tone of my voice is just gets drowned out by the noise around me. It's so frustrating. No one hears me so I just can't converse with people.
I’m doing ok with this one(I just watch Archie Bunker for a bit) , contrastingly, I am finding a competent/fluent sounding Irish accent is harder to master than I ever imagined. I always end up sounding like John Lennon in one of his interviews before he died or worse, such as some Scottish bloke.☮️😂
One of the better attempts. I just wish people would realise there about about 30 different accents here.
How do you say “guilty”?
The reason I’m here is cuz I’m playing Shrek in Shrek the Musical Pray for me
I will master this because for some reason as an American I find this hilarious (not making fun of anyone I ligit love this accent)
Elongation of vowel sounds in Essex is similar to Aussie I find. American (USA) sounds more Irish and Scottish to me. I’m from Essex with Irish Scottish roots!
Thanks so much for this, you probably wont see this 7 years on but this video has massively helped me speak the accent for some acting I have coming up and will definitely use your channel for other accents in the future!
