I smoked for 30 years. I always knew one day I would stop smoking. Last year I just decided one day to stop smoking and I found it really easy. Never had any cravings. As soon as I stopped I began meditating to relaxing music every day. The meditation enabled me to feel peaceful and relaxed every day. With no stress, this meant that I did not now need to smoke. Become a more peaceful, balanced and relaxed person and quitting smoking becomes very easy ❤ Meditation was my cure.

I quit smoking less than 24 hours ago. I saw a couple standing outside a supermarket smoking. They looked so pathetic. I pity them. 😅

Adam, I found your article online by no coincidence. I can’t even explain in words, how you have helped me and gave me confirmation of where I am in life right now and have been this past year 😅 Your article is identical to the extent that I have both of the books already that I haven’t finished, the loss of a child, my trauma and dysfunction from childhood…and the list goes on. Your article was written on my birthday! What you spoke about spirituality, prayer, and gratitude I have been practicing for around a year! I haven’t completely finished the article, but I am now when I get done with this post. At first when I found it, I was overwhelmed because I knew it wasn’t by coincidence..it took me a week to finally listen to it all the way because I knew it was going to be deep! I wish there was a way we could connect. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am in happy tears and enlightened! ❤😅

This man is a bona fide legend. I was a heavy smoker (20+ per day), with no plans to quit. Even someone very close to me dying from smoking related cancer hadn't deterred me. I'd never heard of Allen Carr until, strangely enough, one day a friend of my sister was bitching about quitting and how difficult it was, and how Allen Carr's book must be bullshit (she hadn't read it). Intrigued, me, the heavy smoker with no intention of quitting, decided to read it, to see what this 'bullshit' was all about. I read it, and was amazed, that it was impossible for me to disagree with anything he said. It was all true. When I reached the end of the book, I took my half-finished pack of cigarettes, scrunched them up, and threw them in the bin. That was November 2006, and I've never smoked since. There should be statues built of this man.

I've read his book without exaggeration over 10 times. First time I quit for 2 years, but I kept falling for the trap and would reread the book although I never smoked for more than a couple of months before I quit again. It got to the point If I ever relapsed I would get instantly depressed, but eventually it really clicked and I could never smoke or vape again been about 18 months now and It baffles me how I had failed all those times. I owe this man so much.

Just read that book, guys. You will stop smoking, and you will even have fun during the process. I am so happy that I'm a non-smoker now after so many years… My prayers are with him. Love from Türkiye.

Throw away your stupid simplistic naive ideas of what a hallucination is. I'm talking about a robust deeply sophisticated notion of hallucination. Hallucinations that are so real you cannot distinguish them from reality. Hallucinations that are so mesmerizing that... Imagine that you started imagining that you were a kangaroo and you just sat there day after day after day imagining that you were a kangaroo and you imagined it so much that you literally became a kangaroo and you could not remember anymore that you were ever a human. That's the kind of power of imagination that I'm talking about. See so the irony of people who criticize smoking is that they themselves are doing it from a state of hallucination but they're so ignorant and oblivious and lacking in self reflection that they don't understand that what they're doing is you're criticizing smoking from a state of hallucination and delusion.

This guy is a legend. He said the most important thing. You could apply it to quitting but also all of life. Its all about fear. Control the fear of living without the smoke. Youre not addicted or this or that or anything more than you are simply fearful of living without something youre having trouble leaving behind or getting rid of.

I got about 23 years of smoking under my belt. Quit 10 years ago. Quit 3 times before I quit for good and all 3 times, no matter if it had been 20 years or 2 weeks. Takes about 70 odd hours give or take about 3 days. Your body will normalize. Then its a MIND GAME. Cold turkey too. If you slip, you will be very slow to start back. The shakes will stop.
