8:30 I had the opposite problem with professors. My undergraduate professors were nice and welcoming. My graduate program professors felt like cold, ivory tower overlords. Anyways, congratulations on your diagnosis! I know what feeling different is like. Not knowing why is disorienting.

Hey @Emily Suzanne it’s been a long time since we’ve spoken but anyways one question to you is how do you deal with school in general as a autistic person like making friends, teachers and etc as someone with Autism I’ve lost a lot of friends due to me annoying people with a lack of social skills like following people, missing social cues, jokes at the wrong time and not knowing how to joke properly. That’s about it.
I’m not sure I have the perfect answer to this question. Making friends is really hard and keeping friendships is even harder. My main advice is to find people you have common interests with or other neurodivergent people to build friendships with who will understand you better. Just be yourself and if people don’t except you for you then they aren’t the right people for you.

4 years later and your video helped me Emily, you are amazing. I usually have this issue for 1 in every 10 videos when I try editing with iMovie. Thanks for this. It worked for me. Now I don't have to worry about re-recording my video that didn't input well into iMovie 😁

I WFH and I'm loving this... 20k a day here... it takes me 3 hours. I start at 530 and knock out 17000 steps... I do the 3000 later. Also, I do the 20k on top of my incidental steps which as a WFH guy is really low, under 5k.
