  Honestly at this point, the media are running out of questions to ask. It's always the same and the focus is always on man utd getting 8th in the league despite winning a well drilled and injury free squad in man city. I think many ppl are quick to judge ETH especially when Alex Ferguson's career in the early years was exactly the same. There's only so much ETH can do if majority of the players he has are either injured or off form. I would honestly hate to see him go cause I do enjoy watching his style of football but for that to continue, he needs the players for it and I think next season, the youth and transfers will really make progress.

  We know it was a Stonewall penalty, like VAR and the ref would dare give Newcastle United a penalty at OT, they value their jobs more than their own honestly. The Prem is corrupt and will always favour the 6 cartel clubs. Not having M U in Europe is unthinkable. FFP was introduced to help the big clubs of Europe and stifle the chances of other clubs from challenging them. Still Newcastle United have these monkeys on their back and doing the double and finishing above Manchester in the prem is one of them. Beating Liverpool and Manchester City are two others. Newcastle United could of played their strongest team and still would of lost. And I'm convinced that M U will scrape a point from Brighton and Toon will lose to Brentford. I called that Chelsea would finish 6th, MU 7th and Toon 8th 2 weeks ago.

  If Schar was fully fit he'd likely have kept Tripps on the bench - first goal doesn't score If Joelinton was fit, Anderson would've sat; Only EH knows how fit Pope is, but if any of the 3 started & broke down we'd all be hounding him like when Botman's acl surgery finally happened

  We can't be relying on VAR to win a game. We had by far the better chances, including 2 missed 1v1s. But you have to expect VAR to come out and give those. Doesn't do them any favours when they're trying to not appear corrupted by the cartel when you're not giving penalties for clear 1v1 fouls in the box. Follow the money

  Its not relying on var - but at 1-0 after 20 odd minutes, giving the penalty would change momentum massively. Its just typical that Casemiro became prime Maldini, after 2 awful games - his clearance for example; if the ball fell an inch or two the other way we could've scored 5 or 6, Isak, Migy, Longstaff, Joe's header. As you say, definitely had the chances, but between poor defence & nobody spotting the youngster standing alone by the d every corner they did what they needed to

  To say he has never seen McTominay play at Center Back for Scotland at some point is totally myopic of him. Casemiro was a disaster as a CB against Crystal Palace, and you still played him there the second time instead of deploying an academy CB which other coaches have successfully done. They can't do worse than Casemiro
