    I am my screening next week Friday...I have a small crust patch about 5mm in size. It doesn't really spread. It itches and my nipple itches as well. Been there for 6months...now looks like a small sore patch with scab. First doctor dismissed it a dry skin, second doctor send me for breast cancer screening. I am hoping for the best.

    A lot of physicians do not even know about IBC. Many dismiss the symptoms as infection of some kind. It is absolutely the worst most disfiguring breast cancers. It is awful, awful, awful. Google and see actual photos of IBC. It grows from the inside out, erupts, and finally fungates. The book "In Sickness" is the oncologist husband whose oncologist wife hid her IBC until it became malodorous, necrotic tissue. No surprise ending. She died.

    I have found yoga to be such a blessing for me. I’m so glad I had started it a few months before my diagnosis so I already had deeply felt the benefits daily yoga practice brought to my mental and physical health. It’s somewhat challenging at first and for awhile, but it’s incredible to honor your body your health your determination and energy, the connectedness with others who are doing the same for themselves on their mat, it’s an entire hour of slowing down and finding your breath, it’s stabilizing and grounding, I love breathing now it feels amazing! The practice is guided the entire time which helps me stay focused. And this is hardly mentioning the physical benefits, it’s incredible, when you start to see significant progress within two weeks of daily practice, flexibility quickly improves and when you’re old ;) you can notice this a ton because you’ve lost a ton of flexibility over the years, you’ll notice stability in your back, your back core becomes stronger within weeks I promise you, you’re starting to feel that stability & balance build, so it’s less about weight although that’s important and more about vitality, I feel more alive yet more grounded, I feel strong and stable with expansive range of motion, the last thing I’ll mention but there are so many more benefits I have found for consistent yoga practice, is the mental and emotional benefits I noticed early on, I’ve had tears in practice as others likely have too, it’s holding ♥️space for you, it’s a beautiful thing and it’s my saving grace on my cancer survivor journey. I wish for you to find that daily practice that is for you that provides you the self care that you need and deserve. Many people don’t do that naturally in our culture, we self soothe but that’s often not a healthy practice, but when you get a cancer diagnosis you soon realize self care is your dear friend it’s you loving you and getting to know you, taking care of you now. It’s a beautiful thing and naturally impacts the rest of your life your relationships, your recovery, your healing your present. I also mix Pilates, barre, tone&flow classes in there to build muscle because woman start losing a lot of muscle pretty quickly after 35-40. And then there is menopause, seems we often walk that journey through our cancer journey too. That’s my next focus, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be alive and well, I’m can appreciate the low days too, but slowly over time we are turning toward the opportunities in each new day, the sunshine the blessings our beauty inside and out, our bodies may change as this is part of physical aging and I’ll take it happily everyday!

I have had a weird red blotch that seems to be getting bigger (no swelling or pain)...I told my doctor 3 months ago..they think it is dermatology related but today I wrote to get an appt with a breast doctor at a cancer center....I just can't shake worrying about this. I did Nulasta and gave myself shots 4 times a day and yes, I felt like I was 80 my bones hurt so much😮.... BUT... it was to make enough red blood cells to give my brother for a bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant. Now, I think I have IBC but my biopsy isn't until tomorrow, which is Saturday the 10th and it's wigging me out because they are not usually in operation on the weekends. I was given the date of February 20th to have the biopsy but they called me when I'd just gotten into my car in the parking structure. I'd ignored the first call because it said spam likely on my phone, then they called again and I answered out of curiosity about the scammer. 😊 In the few minutes between calls they'd called my husband at home and told him of the appointment on Saturday. Anyway, I do not have the orange peel look per se but I have some dimpling on the side of my breast. I also have 2 masses in my breast the biggest is 1.3cm they're at about 1 and 3 o' clock on the outer quadrant of my left breast. They can't be felt. My only symptom is my left breast itches. There's nothing in my armpit per the ultrasound that I'd just had, I have small, dense breasts, almost a b cup. I have flat nipples but they both (sides) seem to be equal in the outer area dipping inwards. So, now I'm freaking out. If this isn't IBC I'm having a double mastectomy, if it is IBC I'm still having a double mastectomy. I made my mind up years ago if I got BC I'd say hasta la vista. I'm 65 if that matters. Oh and I was told I had BC at my appointment, it was a follow up from my mammogram that was on January 16th at a satellite center. They called me to come to the main hospital. All of my mammograms have been 3D I think it's called tomosynthesis.

    I've been in the hospital 4 times. It's been scary. I have never had children. My left breast started out very swollen. Kept getting more red no matter what they done. It's the left breast and mine looked like that. They would put me on antibiotics... Helped with redness very little. I have been going through this 6 months now. Now bc my reg Dr said I needed a mammogram bc he said that would put me in severe pain. The redness only goes away 20 percent and that's it. I see my surgeon today. I'm in severe pain😥 Did your breast get hard too?

    Hi Sara. God bless you. ~ I feel somewhat awkward writing to you but I am worried. Very recent, on 10/23, Monday, I noticed a dime sized pink spot on my right breast on the left side of my areola, I was out of shower and not dressed doing my hair & that is how I noticed it in my mirror reflection. At first I thought is was make-up, and rubbed it with lotion, but it was still there. *This pink spot was not there on 10/22. So, after I finished up in the bathroom I sat at my computer and typed in pink spot on breast and the first hit was Inflammatory breast cancer. I think my heart was going to beat out my chest and I became a bit nauseous from fear. On Tues 10/24 I called my clinic with my concern & asked to please see a Doctor. I went to the doctor on 10/25. We said are hello's and I just didn't waste any time and told her I have a pink dime sized spot on my right breast and I am terrified I have IBC. She is familiar with IBC, which made me feel a sense of relief because some doctors are not. I lied down & she proceed to do a complete exam. She felt my lymphnodes twice. She stated no swollen lymphnodes. She used a microscope(small black one that Dermatologists use to look at moles) and said she thinks she sees an abrasion, like a tiny piece of skin off, like an injury. She gave me packets of antibacterial ointment and said to use this 2x's a day for a week, IF no improvement, she will send me to the Breast dept. and get a biopsy and I think she said MRI. I have my Husband look at it every day to see if he see's any changes, he thinks it looks smaller. I look at it with a magnified mirror dozens of times a day and I can't really tell. IF this spot is not gone by 10/31, I have to call the clinic and proceed with the biopsy. I want to feel reassured in a sense my lymphnodes are not swollen. From your knowledge Sara is it common for the lympnodes to be swollen accompanied with rash or a spot? I watched your videos and you are a beatiful Soul. ~ I will keep you informed with however this turns out. ~I am 63 years old~ God be with you. 🙏

  • @cancerchats5127
    @cancerchats51279 ай бұрын

    Please don't feel awkward... At this point I've talked about breast so much! You are taking all the correct steps! I THINK that lymph nodes are almost always swollen with IBC. BTW, one way to check if your concerning spot is growing or shrinking, is to circle it with a sharpie. The doctors did that to mine to keep track if the antibiotics were working. I hope it all goes well for you! You will be in my prayers!

    I'm here because my wife is 20 weeks pregnant with our first child and has developed the peau d'orange look with increased thickness of skin but it is at the bottom, middle of both her breasts. We went to see her OB and he assured us it wasn't IBC. He said it would be a harder texture and also because the affected area is practically mirrored, he's confident it is a combination of hormonal changes and heat irritation from breast swelling (we also live in South Mississippi). However, we are not willing to risk it and have scheduled an appointment with MD Anderson in Houston. Do you mind if I ask if yours is on both breasts or just one?
