I stopped watching after you said Naydal lmao
I watched a different video that was suggesting stiffer racket, softer strings, will that help with tennis elbow?
some negative comments here but it's literally what is also written in the manuals for stringing with floating clamps.
i use a gamma machine like this now but when i consider getting a new machine by far my only deal-breaker is not having to deal with floating clamps again.
is it absorbing vibrations as well ? can i avoid using a vibrator when using this ?
Não, o objetivo é fazer com que o encordoamento não se abra e dura mais tempo.
NAH DAL..not NAY DAL . AYDAM and EVE?
For tension maintenance, synthetic is better than multi or poly…? I usually don’t break so much strings…
Strings feel dead I think I gave to pre stretch them
4 5/8 since I was 10 years old, with sn over grip. Why have many manufacturers stopped making the 5?
Really ? I’m tired just watching this
Great comments. Traditional grip size may be too big and the smaller size trend can give greater control, top spin. Use what feels best is the right thing and don’t just use the traditional size measurement.
You can sand to a high degree of precision. You just have to scratch the surface with a needle-tool to the same dept on all sides/bevels (marking on the needle) which you meassure out..., then you sand that scratch away on all sides. You make that tool with a piece of wood where you put in a pointy screw that goes through and which you can adjust to the right dept that correspond with what you need to remove of material.
If the handle is made of PU rigid foam. Then you can machine mill the handle to a lower grip size. That is not hard to do, if you know your way around a work shop.
Thank you
great video tnx
Thanks for posting. IMO as a newbie stringer....this is unnecessarily complicated!!! Why can't they just color the skip grommets a different color? Or put a very easy marking for the skips & tie off holes? (And I don't just mean a line like some rackets have...they could put T for tie off, and S for skip hole)
Music much louder than human voice, hard to watch.
Do you know how many grams there are typically in a 4 inch strip of 1/4 tape? And do you know how much the swing weight would increase by (roughly) if you were to put two 4 inch strips on either side of 12 o'clock?
Boy, I think it was a good video. Couldn't hear him over the music.
how much lead tape is too much. Obviously 20-30g is like a lot but what’s the limit. Also does 3 9 12 do the same as 10 and 2
Great KZread channel, a lot of videos to help congrats. I saw many videos of you and I think you’re the right guy to ask for advice. I was 4.5 - 5.0 player in my young age leave the tennis many times by tenis elbow problems. My last time I play was 6 years ago , i want come back but scared me have elbow problems again. Thinking use gut stings in hybrid mode( Wilson champion choice) gut in mains. My last racket ls I have is volkl vsense 9 little to none use after purchase. Tension show is 55 +/-5. What tension you recommend in main and cross. Or if you recommend change rackets . I’m base liner player with very high spin and one back hand on my high 40s. Thanks in advance
Price in stringing machine
Hitech King machine how much
So if you have two racquets with the same parameters except static weight, what will you feel differently?
If over grips are about .5 mm, what's the average base grip thickness? I've often wondered, why can't I just use an overgrip to replace my base grip? Or would that be too harsh on my hands?
But you’re right the hydrosorb seems to run a bit thick I measure my 4 1/4 with hydrosorb and overgrip and it was 4.5
Good video, I think if you stretch it tighter you can make it thinner ane more like 4 3/8?
Nice Video, but please turn down that music a little bit next time. Really made the video unpleasant to watch at times. Content was great though.
Loved this video but my only outstanding question is what to string at given I string my multis at 55 an my polys at 50 so if I want to do a hybrid how do you decide what to string them at?
Awesome! Thanks! Also love the Santorini poster behind you…I’m from Crete. We’re next to Santorini
Turn the background music off and it would be great
Agreed. Really distracting.
What are u doing lol. Thats the dumbest thing ive ever seen
do you notice a difference putting lead time at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock vs 2 and 10?
I never liked dampeners, but each to their own, I just prefer the natural sound of the strings, it gives me feed back.
Intelligent info here appreciate that, i have not found a hybrid combination that I loved yet, but have not tried everything. Many years ago Gosen offered a Kevlar blended string I really liked but I could not find that exact string later. Since then been using either Babolat gut 15L or 16 guage Luxilon Big Banger.
Which is more arm friendly?
👍🏻
Alu power rough the best!!!!!
Head heavy or head light racket for tennis
Very nice topic and common problem for forehands
Felt like I was in the doctors office for a second.
i came from fullbed poly and experienced tennis elbow. I play with topspin. Should i Go Poly main or cross?. Now im looking for spin+comfort
so for the running serve I guess I have a follow up question, which is : what counts as walking / running? The example in the video is very clear but my serve is basically as follow: my toss is sometimes too much to my right and i sometimes i have from my static position, to move one single foot (my left one as a righty) do the right aand push up in the air from that foot. It's basically a single, roughly 20cm wide step. Does one step consitute running / walking? I have a video examples of it
If you go low, how many hours would they last? I understand that poly go bad quickly. Can you still play fine after they lose tension? Thanks!
Personally found few things helpful To give you the background I’m using head speed MP, usually play about 7-8 hours per week. 1. I change tourna tac or mega tac every week cz of sweaty palms. 2. Changed my grip from western to semi western which took about 1.5 months to adjust. 3. My coach advised me to use a hand gripper and boy it worked wonders for me.
I’ve been told to string poly looser so if I’m doing a blend and I’ve got poly/synthetic of some kind then I’ll string poly about 5 lbs less (let’s say I’m trying to reach 60lbs) and then I’ll string the synthetic true at 60 lbs???? Or maybe string crosses a pound or so looser
my evoke 102 used to be like 280 grams, now i buffed it up to 347 grams I think 7 - 8 headlight and it helped my game a lot :D
Uhm did you add like lead bricks, because adding 67 grams sounds very unrealistic. Okay +10 g from a leather grip, maybe another +15 if you wrap lead below the tape, then you'll have to offset in the hoop, but not much you can add there, like 5gr under grommet and 10gr in throat and 3+9 each... That's still 50gr and the racket is mostly lead by that point
@@mikhailshiit is possibile, I made my Yonex ezone 98 go to 440gr.
Hi Drew, I’ve been playing with an Aerogel 4D 200 Tour w/ 4 1/2” grip…..never had any arm issues. I just switched to an Aerogel 200 (16x19 version)….exact same 95 sq.” head size, same stiffness rating (63)….only difference is 1 ounce less and going down to 4 3/8” grip. With a little lighter frame and a little more maneuverability I am getting definitely more spin on the serve and a bit more power on the ground strokes. I need to also mention, I’ve been using synthetic gut in my 4D’s but the racquet I changed to is a multifilliment. I am VERY surprised at the amount of tingling and achy feeling now in my arm after playing. Perhaps this racquet is returning more vibration into the arm? Or another thing I thought is even with the slight change in grip size, different wrist and arm muscles are having to get to work and it is shocking to my arm? Any suggestions? I do not use vibration dampeners because I’d rather not have the muted feel, but may I should try them on this frame. At any rate, I love the performance and feeling of these older Dunlop frames. They are very solid and suit my game really well. Thanks, Rod
I have read differing opinions on gut / poly hybrids and the string tension differential. If you put the natural gut in the MAINS and poly in the crosses, how much lower in tension would you recommend stringing the poly crosses for optimal performance and snap-back? Same with 16x19 and 18x20 patterns?
Very interesting!
