Here we post videos from Claudia Russell and the Folk Unlimited Orchestra, mandolin lessons from Bruce Kaplan and historical footage of Claudia's father, Val Rosing, aka Gilbert Russell. Thanks for watching and sharing with your friends!
This is clearly from 1933 or 1934. By 1937 women were starting to wear those ugly transition fashions that would result in the tasteless clothes of 1940s.

At first I thought I'd hear a new take on Les Feuilles Morts (Autumn Leaves in the original French "C'est une chanson que nous resemble." Then, as I listened to the guitar intro, I expected to hear Sailing. Then, to my delight, I heard something new and unique. Now, I look forward to hearing you all in person. Cheers. (BTW, I had the pleasure of serenadind the crew of the Air France Concorde with Feuilles (in French, bien sur) It's the captain's favorite.)

As someone who was there (and at many other Tearjerkers shows), it's a great joy to see this online. Several of the best songs found their way onto recordings, but "Poison Pen" (at 40:11) and the R&B version of "I Can Be Your Savior" (31:59) were two of my personal favorites, and I'd basically given up hope of ever hearing them again. So, thank you!!
