Profoto was founded in Stockholm in 1968 by photographer and engineer Eckhard Heine and photography equipment retailer Conny Dufgran. Their relationship began when Conny sold Eckhard a flash unit that didn't work. Annoyed with the faulty unit, Eckhard went home to invent a new type of flash. He returned a couple of weeks later with a superior unit. A few years after that, Eckhard and Conny exhibited the first Pro-1 generator at the Photokina trade show in Cologne. It was an instant success. Profoto was born. With a bang.
Today, our products are used by the best in the industry. Whether it be on a billboard or in a fashion magazine, there's a good chance that the image you are looking at was created with the help of our lights. But even though we continuously refine and improve our equipment, we stay true to Eckhard's and Conny's ideals.

So if I have 3 Profoto B1's set up for a wedding, and i set them all to 6, if a adjust the energy level, -3.0 would that bring it to level 3 power on all 3 strobes?

The sound is good in 2024. The iPad part not so much.
So this is telling me a B1/D1/D2 with a flat head is not much different than a B1/D1/D2 with the dome diffuser. But that's not the same as saying a B1/D1/D2 with a flat head is not much different than a *Pro or Acute head,* which are designed around a protruded dome from the jump. So I'm not really sure how informative this test is, as both of these reflectors were designed around the Pro/Acute dome heads, not the flat front heads, dome diffuser or not. So I'm still in the dark regarding these reflectors for their intended use.

Profoto sucks...you people won’t listen to your customers and you refuse to release an adapter to recharge the A10 flash battery via USB-C. I own your products and I am disgusted with you as your customer. Godox is making your company look like a joke because you refuse to give the A10 an off unit USB-C charger. I’m going to launch a class action lawsuit against your company if you do not give us what we need by this Christmas. You are in violation of EU laws

Please convince me: this hotshoe flash is “worth” the extortion charges??? Other than the remote operational control, there’s nothing here to convince me to switch from my Quantum Qflash(es), Quantum Turbo 3 battery & Pocket Wizard III SETUP. I refuse to pay the Profoto tax and get less power? I’m an old school manual shooter anyway. Nice product, but SERIOUSLY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT IS….
one audio channel is phase reversed, when you undo that it sounds fine... but most people have a setup to do so easily

It's crazy how profoto has completely avoided admitting that a recessed flash tube negates the geometry of typical lighting modifiers like an octobank , mola or beauty dish ...
