Is the 2005 S2R 800 the same ? I'm Idling at 1700 cause someone remapped it and I hate bikes that idle that high. Like people with fuel injected Harley's My 91 is lug chug lug chugady lug. Sounds so awesome at a light ,at about 800 rpms. And it has 90k so don't tell me it's bad for oil pressure Bla,bla bla whatever...fuel injection just sucks.

mine really wont idle below 1,000. i usually have it at 1,100 which it seems to like. it needs to be at 1500 to 1800 to warm up or it wont stay running. I have the microtec ECU which does make it run different. Use idle it down with the throttle body adjustments when it is hot to get it down to 1000 or 1100 and use the throttle adjustment on the left bar to bump it to 1800 for warmup.

LOL not exactly, you can get to that front screw with a very long screwdriver. Then you can open the airbox just enough to get to the linkages for those cables to undo them so you can take the top off completely. It's not easy at all, very frustrating, but it's possible.

Isn't supposed to give a shot of fuel into the throttle body in order to start it, called priming, that's why the pump runs for just a second. All my fuel injected cars do that also.

That should never happen until the starter button is pressed. also the spray pattern in the video is horrific.

i know the feeeling dude....one of cables are causing the throttle body to get stuck at certain spots , i believe it was the go fast idle cable...i took everything apart and seateed the cable back into the bracket.......a few weeks later i turn my handle bar all the way to the right and same problem......ARGH

I used a small locking plier from home depot to get the front screw out 1/4 turn at a time took some time but it came out.

How hard is it to change the injectors? I heard they are hard to get to.

You know nothing about working on Ducati. You can use an extension with a Phillips or torx bit to take the air box off.Once it's off you can access and disconnect the throttles. And if you don't like taking gas tanks off motorcycles, what are you doing , playing mechanic??

Ya i just wanted to put k&n filters in. But when i saw i couldnt get to that front bolt, i was like, fuck it, ill just buy and inline 4 BayBee!!

I bought a different set of rebuilt ones. I made sure they were from a shop i could call if they were bad.

Oh they horror of ducati ownership!! I feel your pain 😂!! I've got a 900ss ie and to get to the air box takes 2 seconds BUT there are other things that you do have to question, how the italian brain works......??
