  Something i discovered that is very situational, but i could see being used in future runs is a speed tech where you basically just deadzone the side of an enemy as you do a dropkick and before you hit the ground slide . That lock on acceleration will launch you towards the enemy but if you offset the camera correctly you'll just slide past them gaining insane speed.

  That first attack, just jump it, you don't need to time some gimmicky bullshit. Every stomp can be jumped.

  @YamaJuugo The only thing you need to be aware of is the explosion closer to the impact/feet, that will hit you out of the air, if you run back a little you can avoid the explosion and jump the wave without Torrent. I got used to fighting them without Torrent because I believe Torrents controls are janky and unresponsive.

  @@Wellymanful “i’ve done it many times, except be aware the explosion will hit you mid air” lol that explosion is the whole point of using the torrent trick. and most people don’t even know about the s from getting on or off torrent. That’s the point of the video. Of course you can stop attacking and run really far away to avoid the attack, just like every other attack in the game lol

  I figured this out in the base game against the fire giant. I use it to dodge the giant pan sweep he does. I call it the torrent jump 😅

  Bro just use torrent. No need to complicate things lol. Doing the whole fight on torrent is the easiest and most likely intended way of fighting these things.

  The initial explosion cannot be I-framed as there is a fire floor that comes out. Run away from the initial explosion, and when the fire expands outwards, jump over it. Should look like this: * fire golem jumps and slams * Player runs out of the radius of the explosion * after the explosion, a fire aoe reminiscent of the one he does when he slams each foot individually, will come out after the explosion * Player waits a moment for the explosion to happen and jumps over the the fire aoe as it approaches you. Successful dodge

  Yeah I figured this out by just constantly challenging them when my mate kept running away. Was so satisfying knowing I could beat them easily after learning that they are quite easy

  You good sir are a genius. Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike is the key to beating these dudes. I’d also like to throw in a bit of my own tactic here to make it even easier… Put raptor of the mists AoW on Miséricorde and it’ll let you dodge that great big stomp attack much easier than trying to time it with Torrent. And when he finally goes down from the ancient dragon lighting strikes, use Miséricorde to crit him. It’s straight up cheese, but for an enemy as absurdly tough as this, it deserves to be cheesed. I fought and beat that first one in the starting area 5 minutes into the DLC with nothing but the guts greatsword and lion’s claw… And that’s something I’m glad I’ll never have to do again. Hahaha

  This is not meant to suggest the build is bad or anything of the sort, but calling that a fight showcase is a bit... incorrect. It would be more accurate that they showed up and then were quickly vaporized.

  It even works on human sized ennemis, basicly, you hit a lot of times because you're able to concentrate the hits on a specific spot, it's not always easy to land, but when it lands, it shreds

  the ash of war normally goes in a long line leaving multiple hotboxes in a straight path. throwing it at the ground causes them all to stack and hit at once.

  I didn't think the grab was that bad personally. The best way to avoid it is just stay between the feet. The grab will only get you if you're in front of them. And technically, with enough HP it is possible to live the grab attack.

  The explosion will hit you. You can't just jump, you have to run away and then jump to avoid the fire. This keeps you close to keep attacking as well.

  Learned the hard way not to jump when they jump but didn't wanna get all sweaty and always time Torrent, so everytime I decide to bully these firefucks, I go strength, get a hammer, and equip any tower shield.

  They're a gimmick enemy so yes, mostly, however, if you can manage to get above them, throwing hefty fire pots at them will make their flame weaken and deal massive damage. This is also the only way to defeat the ones with armored legs.

  I run miracles and a lot of ancient dragon bs, including the cragblade and bolt of gransax jw if my charms are optimal, Godfrey icon, Shard of Alexander, lightning scorp, Flocos canvas talisman. Seems optimal if i want to change elements just change scorpion charm but idk could be something better to switch out

  Undead are just super weak to holy here. But your charms sound fine for your build. But if you wanna swap to holy just for something like this, sacred blade doesn't benefit from godfrey charm, so something like ritual sword would be better. Similarly with the Flocks talisman, its good if you're gonna use damage incants, not needed if you're just swapping to holy melee damage.

  Its a bug from the beta versions speedrunners had access to. Its just a visual bug from taking damage that persists between runs until you restart the game.

  yes but in hard mode it takes much more bullets or it doesnt break entirely. one of those two. i didnt want to waste anymore bullets so i didnt shoot it more than like 4 times and just did the puzzle.
