Life on the Wrist explores the history, diversity, and beauty of vintage watches. Education in the watch industry is limited and underserved which is why it is our main focus. We source, research, and find new homes for vintage watches.

Also, a bit of focusing of the camera wouldn't go astray.
Working out the kinks. Thanks!
Why so nervous, take a deep breath and perhaps a good stiff scotch and relax. Perhaps script your videos a bit more and plan what you intend to do. Nice watch though.
Thanks for the feedback! I have taken on some of these suggestions in my latest videos. Let me know what you think
Lovely Omega. The dial color is very nice and it looks huge
I agree!
Wow wow wow
Thanks for watching
how many mm?
I believe it was 30mm
The 70’s were a great time for watchmaking. Kept competition
Completely agree!
Wonderful Longines
Thanks for watching
Absolutely love the 1970’s Omega Seamaster! Very similar to the example you showed. I believe mine is 1977 but could be wrong. I wear it with its original bracelet almost daily for the past 7 years. Had to send it to Switzerland for repairs when I first purchased but totally worth it to know it’s all omega and in perfect working condition. Great educational video!
Thanks for watching! I really love those pieces, they are a great size, very legible and easy to wear
Looks shitty, or just awfully dirty.
Dial has been refinished at the lume plots
This wasn't what i was looking for, but i managed to watch the ENTIRE VIDEO. 😅😂
Thanks for watching!
I like the red hand to be fair, even if it is not original
Thanks for watching!
Good video
Thanks
The so-called "quartz crisis" is more accurately described as the "quartz revolution." This transformative period in the watch industry saw the introduction and widespread adoption of quartz technology, which offered unprecedented accuracy and affordability compared to traditional mechanical watches. Despite the revolutionary benefits of quartz, the traditional watchmaking establishment managed to maintain its dominance. Through a combination of strategic marketing and appeals to exclusivity and heritage, they successfully positioned mechanical watches as the epitome of luxury and craftsmanship, thus cementing their status as the gold standard in the eyes of many consumers. Essentially, the baddies won.
Very well put! Thanks for watching
The dial looks good. They are many times destroyed
Very true!
Nice piece
Thank you! Cheers!
Does it matter if I don't like Breguet style watches with engine turned cases and dials?
Doesn’t matter at all! Whatever speaks to you is what is important. No need to follow what others like, especially with your hobbies
I like the strap on this. Where did you get it?
Dmed you a link!
👍🏻
Thanks
Lugs are nice. Simple dial
They are a different design
Lovely watch
Thanks
For a few bucks you can't go wrong with vintage longines
Completely agree with you
Is it no ring at that time
It was not
Strap combo on point
Thanks
I normally dislike when lume falls like the seconds hands. I don’t mind it here though
I think it looks nice too
thank you for your excellent review of this watch
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Lovely dial
Agree!
Thanks for sharing. A bit too small but nice
Thanks for watching

Lugs on the Longines look nice. Probably has no impact on wearing it
It wore true to size for sure
Cannot wait for the upcoming videos
Hope you enjoyed them!
Nice
Thanks for watching
Girard Perregaux is my favorite
It’s a great one!
Beautiful time piece
Thank you so much!
Hello, I’m thinking which to get: An ETA 2836? Or a Sellita SW210? Thanks! 🙏
Both are equally great. Cannot go wrong with either. I find myself wearing ETA movements more
Oyster Perpetuals are great. I really like reference 1008
Great reference
Bezel is nice. Just 30mm is a small size
It’s on the smaller size
Lovely video as always
Thanks again!
Dial looks like it has aged very evenly
Agreed!
I have a very similar watch but have not idea of the value. Can you tell me what your one sold for please?
UG compax’s sell for as little as 2,000USD and up, depending on condition and rarity
Great piece!
Many thanks!
Furk you man where is the furkennnnn watch
Is the ideal original? as well can I ask how much this sold for?
The dial was original! I believe it sold for about 2000USD back in 2017
Dude..stop fidgeting with the camera 😱
Sorry!
Case is in extremely good condition. Beefy and sharp. Very nice watch
Agreed!
Hands
Lovely right?
At this very moment I am wearing a 1969 Bulova (31mm) with a wonderful navy blue dial! I have a few vintage watches including three Omega's (one of which is a Speedmaster) a 1950's Rolex Oyster Perpetual and some Bulova's too. I Actually prefer a smaller watch! My Moon Watch at 42mm feels far too big!
What a nice collection! Size is important, but I think you can enjoy watches no matter the size
I have always found military watches the most interesting. Especially when you get some that are beaten up. I started with my grandfathers watch that he wore as a pilot
Completely agree! Very cool story about your grandfather too. Would love to know more
Super nice dial
Agree!
I wore a cheap quartz pocket watch for years when I worked in a factory where wearing any jewelry on your hands or wrists could be unsafe. I still have a couple of them in my watch collection including an old railroad style mechanical pocket watch. I wear it from time to time as it still keeps excellent time after I regulated it. I keep my mobile phone tucked away in my bag when commuting via public transit so wearing a wrist watch or pocket watch is just a quicker and more convenient way for me to check the time.
I need to take tips from you and get rid of my phone when commuting. It will help me appreciate my surrounding and my watch or pocket watch more!
