Every once in a while a singer comes along who is not a manufactured star but a true honest talent. Natalie has a very distinct wonderful voice who is able to make you believe every word she is singing. I’m probably old enough to be her dad but I’ve loved her since day one. How can anyone not love Natalie Merchant?

One thing that I love about Natalie as a I watch a bunch of her live videos is how absolutely comfortable she seems performing in front of people. Like, not one ounce of nervousness. It's like she knows her voice is great and her ability is there, so no need whatsoever to be anything less than at home on stage.
