Love it!!!
Alien Invasive Plants, in this case mostly Australian Wattle.
Looks like my kind of dirt track, not well used, out of the way. Pity about the AIP at the start of the drive, lets hope "someone" does something to eradicate.
AIP?
Very nice one
Slaapverwekkend.😴😴😴
no more access to N7
Yes, temporarily.
Home sweet home😊
The road also has several potholes too, fortunately I was able to avoid them due to keeping to the speed limit albeit the racing enthusiast on my tail...one most often finds trucks ahead going at 40km/h towards the summit. Faster than the truck going 15km/h that I was unfortunately stuck behind on the Huisriviers pass last Friday night driving back from Oudtshoorn..
Just another beautiful pass in our beautiful country showcased on your great channel. How did most of your videos start at the north or west termini and then end at the south or west termini?
Thanks for the upload. Watching from Denver, Colorado.
That's great! Are you an expat?
The intro drone shots were epic! Great intro! :D
Thank you. We've been honing our drone skills for 6 months. Its a lot more difficult than what most people think. Besides being wind sensitive, the drone can only follow at 37 kph maximum speed. By switching to Sport mode it can fly at 60 kph but then the obstacle avoidance sensors don't function. So we go for the conservative option and drive slowly, then double the speed afterwards in studio. It entails of lots of extra editing, but the end result is worth it.
Also blocked off access from The Hell to Calitzdorp.
Pass used ti go through to Calitzdorp. Now only as far as Gamkapoort Dam. I have driven it before da m was built.
This is very interesting and love it. Thanks

I took this road just recently coming from N9 on my way to Plett and at night😊
This pass rivals the likes Trollstigen, Stevio Pass, Transfagarasan Pass ...who who have known that this is absolutely beautiful
Beautiful.
One shouldn't worry about the "dangerous" passes. Just drive on the horizontal surfaces. I grew up nearby. Roads are safe; it's users that pose danger sometimes. 😊
Never really thought of that as a pass.
Not much to write home about, but its an official pass. We prefer referring to roads like these as "Suburban Passes". There are many in Cape Town - like Constantia Nek, Rhodes Drive, Red Hill Road, Slangkop, Signal Hill Road and Kloof Road.
@@TrygveRoberts Then I have a couple more to add to my list of ones I've gone over/through.
Always such an adventure!
So beautiful 😍
Very popular road for cyclists from both sides
great.
Thank you for part 1 & part 2. For an ex-Capetonian, it's lovely to be able to see this beautiful part of CT again.
Stunning!
Yes indeed, a cyclist dream ride.
We traveled this route recently and it is still doable even though it is way more run down on the Eastern Province side.
This is one of our country's most scenic and well-visited coastal routes. Love the narration, Robby. Very insightful as well. 🎖🤩
Many thanks!
Best drive in the world did it many timea
Fancourt in George?!correction
Dont confuse Facourt Golf Course with the the Fancourt Manor in Wilderness.
@@TrygveRoberts didnt know thanks.
Always amazing!!
New vids! Great ❤
Thanks for the videos
Glad you like them!
The music is bad. I can't both listen to the content and turn off the volume. Please stop the bad music.
That's interesting. We set the voice-over volume loud enough to be clearly heard above the background music. We select background music that is mostly gentle and easy on the ear (of course we can't please everybody all of the time). The corollary of the theory is to have no music at all. Do you think that would be better? It would save me a LOT of man hours.
Beautiful, thank you.
Very nice!
I've watched all 3 parts, what an incredible, beautiful journey - thank you for sharing. What I found most amazing is that this road must have been built/developed almost a century, perhaps more, ago, and it still exists and can be used. A remarkable feat of engineering, especially being done so long ago. Imagine the manual effort that must have gone into this, most likely in a time of picks and shovels!

Stunning 🥰
Its a beautiful place to visit yoo 🙌🙌🙌
Can this Pass be driven in a standard Hi-rider Isuzu 4x2 bakkie?
Is this up- or downstream of the new Polihale dam site?
Beautiful. It is a pity that photos are not allowed inside the dam wall. It was quite interesting when I did the tour.
.
thank you for this!!!
Fantastic. Thank you.
Beautiful. Magnificent.
