A very boring interview. I only liked Van Cleef in the two westerns he did with Leif Garrett.

Coburn shines, great talent. Sergio Leone thank you for rescuing Lee Van Cleef from these small roles and making him one of the greatest western heroes.

Even as an older gentleman, Lee Van Cleef had real presence. When you watch the olde spaghetti westerns, he was just as magnetic as Eastwood.

Lee Van Cleef, a great character actor in westerns and film noir. “High Noon”, “Kansas City Confidential”, “Man who shot Liberty Vallance”, “Gunfight at OK Corall”, he became famous when he went to Europe with the likes of Clint Eastwood and Jack Palance and started doing all those spaghetti westerns. He was also the sadistic anti Semitic sergeant who made life hell for Montgomery Cliff’s character in “The Young Lions”As well as his sinister looks his voice made him menacing. He was a one off. Badly missed.
