My son is working for a small construction company in Auckland, under an AEWV since January 2023. Everything was good...fine...until he had vacation in March 2024, coming to CapeTown for his vacation. Leave was from 28 February 2024 till 26 March 2024. Suddenly there were allegations that stems as far as December 2023, a Vehicle that was filthy, and equipment compromised. Then complaint of laziness on site etc, that apparently cost the company money. The pattern as my son explained, was one of him been used as type of messenger, but not his conventional duties of industrial spray painter. This was done by a local who was employed for the time my son was on leave. For the vehicle "offense", he was told in an email that the cost of cleaning and replacement of equipment will be at my son's cost, and that the email act as verbal warning. Just the following paydate, about a week or so after email, money was deducted from his salary. I got the feeling that my son is now being victimized. Suddenly yesterday he received an email, summoning him to a disciplinary meeting. I obviously don't know NZ'land labour laws etc, but I feel, and I'm speculating, that employer is trying to get out of his 3 year contract, since he deviated from his contract agreement pertaining to salary/wages ($3 p/h less than contract), and also some of the stuff I learnt now on your video. Whatever allegations referred to in December '23, can it be brought up now? I don't know the structure of the disciplinary meeting in NZ, but notice states 2 managers and my son will be present. Is there a presiding officer and "prosecutor"? Those 2 mentioned? If they were the investigators, are they allowed to position themselves as mentioned? How can you assist?
So, my son was subjected to a hearing, which I think is severely done unprocedurally done. And today he was sacked. With no evidence produced via notification and in hearing. What now can he do? The boss/company breached contract by paying from outset $3NZD p/h less...that amount is probably around $9K now?

Just remember, if you are an employee, HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. They are employed by the company and will throw you under the bus if they can by law. They protect the company. Never trust them. I cannot understand how anyone could work for HR and hurt hard working people

Hello sir Actually i was in Singapore for 3 years after that I moved back to india then I visited on tourist visa and stayed for 2 months when I’m coming back from SG. Singapore immigration check and they found one roaster in my phone where I working as parttime and then they take my fingerprints and photos. So can I apply and can get entry in Singapore. Because I don’t want to waste money If can get entry i want to apply work permit open from September

Just a glorified add......want a tutorial for employees on how to use app as can't find where to enter TFN or book unavailability. For a simple app there is big holes
