We agree and some new videos are in the works. Did you see our latest on ServiceBox™?
I’ve installed this product many time, it’s a great product. I have always wondered if you can cut it in half to fit odd sized installations
Appreciate your comment. Yes, FastTrack can be cut. Refer to our video called "FastTrack Installation Tips".
What they don't tell you is that the slightest air leak will soon stop it working.

Do water arrestors go bad? Mine is just dripping water even when the valve is open. Can low pressure in the system cause the arrester to block the water supply?

Too bad it is CHEAP plastic! 43 year union plumber here, how about you guys step it up a little Sioux Chief - Give us a QUALITY lasting product that isn't cheap flimsy plastic! You guys are selling gimmicks.
We value your feedback. We have had plumbers install tens of thousands of these with successful results. We understand if this product is not to your liking, but many do like it.
looks cool just wish I could find a place to buy them
Thanks for your input. These are brand new to the market and may take a while for plumbing wholesalers to stock. If you ask for them by name they will usually order them. Appreciate your feedback.
We followed instructions. The copper is the correct length. However, the spout will not go flush to the wall. Suggestion?
I will be ordering a pallet of these
How do you drainage test these? Will the threads be water tight in the adjustment part and the plug?
im looking ,at my freestanding tub options...

I’m glad I came to the comment section to find I’m not stupid and everyone else hates the blank to hammer out. Broke the whole damn thing trying to get it out
Bad design. Almost impossible to remove cap. Seek other brands.
That stupid thing in the middle to tighten wasn’t even in either of my kits.
Brilliant!!! 💯
Well done Bill
I just purchased the small flange adapter that fits inside a 3" drain pipe. I can't find a wax ring to fit it.
My contractor installed one of those white boxes with a white plastic nipple in the bottom. Am I supposed to connect my drain to that somehow or what's it for?
Yes, remove the test plug in the bottom and insert your drain hose to drain the water.

We had to change out the arm pipe and now our assembly is leaking. How do we get the wallnut off to replace it? It just spins and spins and spins.
I just found that they make a shower wallnut removal tool. Be nice if they would respond here! On a google search looks like they are $20 - $40?
There is a removal tool part #307-616. Instructions for the tool 1. Remove showerhead then shower arm. 2. Remove escutcheon from Shower WallNut. 3. Turn hex head machine screw counter clockwise to pull machined end into removal tool pipe nipple so nipple can screw into WallNut. 4. Thread nipple into WallNut (hand-tight). 5. Turn hex screw clockwise to engage copper tube. 6. Using 7/16" wrench continue turning screw until WallNut has been disengaged from stub out. 7. Discard used WallNut and replace.
So how the heck is the thing removed? I’ve been prying and pulling and it just spins but won’t come off the copper pipe.
I’m trying to figure out the same thing. Did you figure it out?
@@melissahoward3119 nope. I just added a bit more tape to the pipe.

Umm needed to whack it hard on one side with a hammer to make it come loose, NOT as easy in the video 😅
Also: the water hammer eliminator needs to be installed vertically in order to work properly.
Jem B our arresters can be installed at any angle.
Those damn things don't work. I put two on my washer and there is still hammering in my pipes.
Please call customer service at 800-821-3944. They can help.
Were they the smaller 660-H arrestors made for washing machines or the larger 653-B / 652-A arrestors?
I had something like that install by a plumber but know I get water coming up from from the ground and the cement that they put around it .I have tried to call them text them but does not respond .what can I do to stop the water from coming up I have a video of it if you tell me how I can post it so that you can see it.

Installing a floor drain using your product 832-4HNQ , the slab is the finished floor. Utilizing the square finish fixture, does the coring sleeve need to be set 1/4" below grade for the square finish fixture to be flush with the top of the slab. Thanks for the informative video, would like to see installation of square finish fixture
Thank you for the question. Typically, we don’t see square grates/covers installed where the slab is the finish floor - at least not as often as we see round. Since a Finish Fixture with a square top can’t recess completely into the Coring Sleeve, there’s no ‘FinishLine’ way to install a square grate/cover flush with a slab. If square is an absolute must, you would have to install the Coring Sleeve so it was 5/16” or more below the intended slab level, then install the square-top Finish Fixture (before the slab pour) and finish the slab flush to the square top - like a standard adjustable floor drain/cleanout.

Do I pull the 2nd plug out or not I’ve watched several videos never answer my question
Thank you for the question. If by the 2nd plug, you mean the cleanout plug that’s threaded into the Base Adapter - it would depend on whether the fixture is intended to be a cleanout or a floor drain. If it’s to be a floor drain, the (threaded 3.5” IPS polypro) plug should be removed before the floor drain is put to use. If it’s to be a cleanout, the plug would be removed and thread sealant applied before replacing it in the Base Adapter to prevent sewer gas from escaping the fixture.
You forgot to show us instructions on how to remove that Test Cap for the drain hose. I can not pop it off or twist it without thinking it'll break, even though it says (Test cap removes easily in one piece) well it doesn't. It also didn't come with instructions.
Sorry for the late reply. The box must be installed to the stud or between, with DWV pipe glued to drain box. Then, use a pair of channel lock to squeeze/pinch nipple and roll the cap out by twisting channel locks away from nipple, while pinching it. You can see this in our brochure on page 9 www.siouxchief.com/docs/default-source/print/print-brochures/supply/outlet-boxes---oxbox---brochure.pdf?sfvrsn=25533f37_10
We also have an animation video that shows how to remove the test cap. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hXtls9h_qsqnd6g.html

Bought Ox Box Washing Machine Box that was labeled 1/2” F1807 PEX Connection with MinuRester. They don’t fit 1/2” or 3/4 PEX. Too big for 1/2”, too small for 3/4. Was it packaged wrong? Sorry for the delayed response. You may have received F1960 instead of F1807. Were you able to get it fixed?
What is the depth (length) of the 6" PVC provided with the shallow depth kit? My 4" line is 8" below finished floor. Looks like a great product.

Can the inlet elbow be oriented downward, for water supply coming from a crawlspace/basement?
Nathan, yes, in the video at about 3:45 we state that the valves can be snapped in for supply lines from above or below. So yes, either direction works fine.
Thanks! I ordered one
My shower has one of these drains and is clogged, how do I clean it? Please help 🙏
Ashely the normal process for cleaning a clogged drain is to remove the strainer. You would then look to see if there is any debris. Many use a hand auger to remove a clog. The best way to be sure it is done right is to hire a licensed plumber.

Se puede soldar?
el modelo 660-SB se puede soldar
Damn, I thought this was the bomb until I realized it doesn't have a set screw that locks the spout in place on the copper pipe, so it doesn't rotate. You can tighten the one screw that draws it to the wall as much as you want and possibly break the tile, but the spout still rotates with light pressure. And it leaks a small stream out the spout, no matter how you manipulate the pull. I found pulling the diverter prior to turning on the water leaked the least. Failed!
when are you going to bring the buckets back?
Thanks for your interest. We use the buckets as packaging for product. Which product are you looking for?
@@SiouxChiefPRO the sioux strap 1 nail strap. 551-3bk should be code for 3/4 straps. the buckets are the most economical way to buy but are only available in small bags so there are bage to throw away.
@@jamesmatson463 James we understand the buckets are the best packaging. Unfortunately it was the lack of nails for the straps that caused us to get behind. We are cranking out the Sioux Straps as fast as we can now that we have nails. The buckets will be available as soon as we get our backorders covered. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
Great video! How do you remove the black caps for the water supply? In this cas, as it's installed upside-down.
The black caps just unthread. Sometimes you can remove by hand, but if they are tight you might need a wrench or pliers to unscrew.
How do you solder these on without melting the plastic?
Jim our sweat model MiniResters have a heat sync built in. So any model that calls for sweating or soldering is safe at the designated joint.
How do you remove the finish fixture if you need to replace it?
Depending on your floor finish, you would break the fixture loose from the finished floor, then turn counterclockwise, unthreading and remove the finish fixture.
What do you do if one of the valves has failed and will not shut off?
Take a look at this brochure about replaceable valves. Give us a call for any questions. www.siouxchief.com/docs/default-source/print/print-brochures/supply/oxbox---replaceable-valves-3-19.pdf?sfvrsn=b11d1337_44
Hello stupid question. On the hammers to turn the water supply off, those little armatures that are facing the 12:00 position do I just pull them towards me about an inch? Mine are 3 years old and kind of tight when I try and pull them towards me I just don't want to break anything if that's the wrong direction or that's not the right thing to do turning off the water.
Yes, moving the levers forward will turn off the water.
@@SiouxChiefPRO How far forward should they be turned? And related question, how far backward should they be turned to fully open the valve? None of the documentation shows what position it should be for "full on" vs "full off" and I hit a lot of resistance at odd angles (not aligning with 90 degrees in any direction)
Common question with these valves. Great product, but a simple illustration sticker would solve this
