Of course, the origional walls were covered with plaster, would have looked much better. Nice reeinacting though. I have done some historical reeinacting of our mountain man fur trade era. Too bad the city fathers don't allow some of the city to be restored at least a little bit.

This was a FESTIVAL open to the public/tourists. This is not a documentary but an entertainment video with REENACTORS from the festival. Sorry, Can’t help you with ethnographic evidence, that is not the purpose of this video.

@@aroadretraveled ancient greeks, mesopotamians, even celtics, i listened lots of version of them from ancient music artists and definitely they are better, it was a compliment for you btw which i literally said you guys played really good but of course since preferences are personal and lots of ancient music instruments came from greece and mesopatamia it is also a fact too.

They didn't march in step back then.... they didn't do synchronized marching like in modern military parades.

@@mikelynch3792 Besides that I don't think they ever "marched" (although it makes for a great song and video title). They walked, rode horses, or sailed across water. The Templar Knights were nobles (a knight had to first be a noble to become a Knight, and nobles could afford the best armor and horses and didn't really have to walk - when these knights joined the Templars they joined as Knights already and that's why they were Templar Knights). The Templar Sergeants and other types of soldiers were not Knights and didn't come from nobility to become a knight, so they were of a lower social status and wealth - they probably walked a LOT. There were also lay people too who became Templars (think farmers, accountants, artisans, wealthy people....) but they never went to battle, they managed the Templars' affairs in Europe. When King Philip decimated the Templars, arrested many of them in France, and burned 54 of them at the stake... most of them were lay Templars, many elderly, they were NOT templar knights and soldiers (unless they were retired due to age or battle wounds). The tough Templars were in Holyland fighting, they were not in Europe managing their affairs. But I regress.... So yeah, all in all, Templars going to battle probably never marched, just walked...
