I tried to bait out specials from Onslaught but he wouldn't throw them (despite the Taunt). But that's just life with Adam. Either the opponent plays ball with you and throw their specials immediately or you have the choice to either 1) lose all of your ramp in order to continue baiting specials or 2) just go for it. Was I absolutely confident that I would nuke him down with my SP2? No. But I was also really not confident about being able to dodge his SP2, so chances were that I would end up KO'd from a special either way. Therefore my choices were really to either spend time baiting a special only to KO or to go all-in. Since I knew I had a solid ramp and would get that huge fury during the special, that ultimately seemed like the best course of action.

@@Ercarret I appreciate the tips but I am an expert in adam warlock, for me he's the best cosmic champion. I said your play style is risky because of 2 reasons. 1)you're ending your combos with mediums when onslaught has 1+ bar of power, this is risky because if you dash back, onslaught sometimes wait for a moment, and then does his sp1, this interval is too small for a dex causing you to get hit by it, always end with lights when any opponent has more than a bar of power so you can always anticipate the special. 2) when onslaught had 2 bars of powers, you could have easily been hit with the sp2 luckily he was a bit too passive so you were able to intercept him.. very very risky here

Basically, there's a node that puts a fate seal on the champion with the least amount of power every 15 seconds. If you build up a lot of Spidey's spider seal buffs on the defender and then time it so that you have more power than them when the fate seal comes around, all of those buffs get nullified. When they do, Spidey doesn't get any power from the mystic dispersion mastery. Instead, he deals damage to the opponent for each buff that was nullified. Since about 20 buffs where nullified that way, that leads to a massive burst of damage.

If I remember correctly, there's a part of Kotor 1 where you use the same suit (but underwater) and you move incredibly slowly. Same animation and everything just much slower. I bet they made this one walk fast because people complained.

Yeah, they were a bit sneaky when designing her, requiring it to be on different champions depending on how you want to apply it. I've wanted to try out this approach for a while but there has always been something that's gotten in the way, so I was happy to be able to pull it off now.

Spidey deals damage every time that he nullifies a buff. As for the regen, he can copy certain buffs from the opponent if you do a heavy attack.

Normally, it gives you an effect on the opponent that you can fail, which would then deal damage if you have the Sabotage debuff up. However, Thing already has an effect like that (his rock stack gains), so the relic doesn't really do anything on that front. However, it also has a secondary function, which is to give Black Cat stacks of her personal cruelty passives whenever an effect fails on Thing. I'm not sure if this ultimately influences her Sabotage damage or if it only affects her regular crits and her crit bleeds. I don't think it affects her Sabotage damage, meaning it doesn't really matter for this fight either. But it's a really good ability in general. The last effect that the relic has on the fight is the most basic one: it adds extra hits and allows you to chain combos. That's very valuable when you want to deal a lot of damage in a short period of time. Those few hits from the relic alone dealt 18% damage to Thing, and between my first combo, my relic, and then my second combo, I managed to take off almost 50% of Thing's health in one go.

Huh, look at that. I never even noticed when fighting him (or when editing the video), but you're right. I guess Black Cat's DAAR cancelled out the stun I would have gotten, but yeah, that could really have screwed me over otherwise. Man, I would have been so angry. I've had that happen every now and again before, most often with Tigra. It's really annoying and I do hope we see a change in the future.

Yeah, it can be a bit tricky to figure out exactly which champions can deal with the meta (without directly playing into it). I would have guessed that Void would work since his damage has a tendency to sneak through stuff like this, but apparently not then. I also tried Falcon, hoping his defensive ability accuracy reduction could pierce through Power Shield, but no luck there. I wasn't sure how it worked after my Black Cat fight but now that I think about it, I could just have looked through my own video: Thing only ever takes red Sabotage-caused damage and 0 white and yellow damage from the actual hits.

I would love a video on all the other polka dot workaround attackers. Just barely learned yesterday that Galan is still a fantastic option for this meta. Just parry M, M to a decent stack and then heavy. Harvest still works wonders.

Yes, she works against every class as long as there are abilities to fail. The reason I chose to highlight mystics is simply because I fought a lot of annoying mystic defenders with her last month and went, huh, I wonder exactly how many of them I can counter? Turns out, quite a lot!

She's still a great champion unduped. All of her damage and defensive ability accuracy reduction is already in her base kit. A mate of mine pulled a 7*, took her to r2 and have been clearing the recent Act 7 Carina's Challenges with her. Her awakened ability gives her 9 combo shields (very handy if you get struck since her DAAR is, in part, tied to her combo meter) and a chance to evade attacks when dashing toward the opponent. Neither of those two things are necessary for her to be a great champion. The only thing you can't do with an unduped Black Cat that you see me do with my sig 200 BC, is evade those tricky special attacks. For that, she needs the dupe and preferably max sig.

Yeah, she's pretty nuts when you can get off a clean SP2. You build up her mixed emotion charges by either intercepting the opponent when they have an infuriate debuff or by hitting the opponent's block when they are intimidated. Then they fall to sleep when you start charging you heavy attack within striking distance. The longer you hold it (based on the number of mixed emotion charges you've built up), the more passive furies you get. If you cancel the heavy attack into a special 2, the special deals guaranteed critical hits and you get these insane numbers.

Her awakened ability gives her the evade that I'm showcasing in this video, as well as combo shields. It's not strictly needed - there's nothing there that affects her damage or ability to lower defensive ability accuracy - but it gives her a very good safety net. This in turn allows you to be more aggressive since you know that you won't lose your combo if you get hit (and in many cases, that you won't get hit even if you mess up). So I prefer playing with her awakened since it simply gives you peace of mind, but I also understand those that say she doesn't need it to get going. If you just pulled the 7*, for example, I'd be really happy and not worry about having to pull her again.

It depends a little. It certainly doesn't hurt her, but her damage comes from two sources. One of them is bleed damage and deep wounds will help with that. However, she also deals damage whenever she makes defensive abilities fail on the opponent. This is direct damage and is therefore not affected by deep wounds. So it depends on what type of damage you're going for. Personally, I tend to use her for fights where I can make a lot of abilities fail so I tend to think of her bleed damage as pretty secondary. I still run deep wounds for other champions' sakes, though. It's still a great mastery to have and it's rare that I don't run it.

I can try but I don't know if she's the best counter for him. He's bleed immune and his Hatred is unaffected by ability accuracy, so she'll have very little to work with in order to damage him. It could be interesting to see if she could evade his SP2, though. It's pretty long, though, which can be a problem for her since her evades only last for 1 second. Chances are that she'll get clipped towards the end of, after she's evaded the first bit. But I'll see what I can do. If you don't see a video pop up in the future, then it's probably because it didn't work out and I just didn't see a point posting a failure. But...there is a small chance that an extremely risky move works wonders against him. I'm curious to test that out.

It depends a little on how you look at it. Damage-wise, no. All of her damage is in her basic kit. What the awakened ability gives her is access to combo shields and evades. She gets nine combo shields in total, and they each give a stacking chance to evade. At max sig, each give a 11,11% chance to evade, which adds up to 99,99%. Whenever you'd get hit, you use up a combo shield. If you were dashing in toward the opponent when you were to get hit, you have that chance to evade that attack. As you lose combo shields, your chance to evade attacks gets lower and lower. This doesn't affect her damage output directly, but it does make it very safe to dash in against defenders. You can see at one point in the video that I dash in right as Rintrah throws his SP1, and I just evade it. If my Black Cat hadn't been awakened, I could still have done all of this damage but I would probably have played her more carefully, meaning it could potentially have taken a bit more time to do so.

Yes, she works against every class as long as there are abilities to fail. The reason I chose to highlight mystics is simply because I fought a lot of annoying mystic defenders with her last month and went, huh, I wonder exactly how many of them I can counter? Turns out, quite a lot!

She's still a great champion unduped. All of her damage and defensive ability accuracy reduction is already in her base kit. A mate of mine pulled a 7*, took her to r2 and have been clearing the recent Act 7 Carina's Challenges with her. Her awakened ability gives her 9 combo shields (very handy if you get struck since her DAAR is, in part, tied to her combo meter) and a chance to evade attacks when dashing toward the opponent. Neither of those two things are necessary for her to be a great champion. The only thing you can't do with an unduped Black Cat that you see me do with my sig 200 BC, is evade those tricky special attacks. For that, she needs the dupe and preferably max sig.

Yeah, she's pretty nuts when you can get off a clean SP2. You build up her mixed emotion charges by either intercepting the opponent when they have an infuriate debuff or by hitting the opponent's block when they are intimidated. Then they fall to sleep when you start charging you heavy attack within striking distance. The longer you hold it (based on the number of mixed emotion charges you've built up), the more passive furies you get. If you cancel the heavy attack into a special 2, the special deals guaranteed critical hits and you get these insane numbers.

Her awakened ability gives her the evade that I'm showcasing in this video, as well as combo shields. It's not strictly needed - there's nothing there that affects her damage or ability to lower defensive ability accuracy - but it gives her a very good safety net. This in turn allows you to be more aggressive since you know that you won't lose your combo if you get hit (and in many cases, that you won't get hit even if you mess up). So I prefer playing with her awakened since it simply gives you peace of mind, but I also understand those that say she doesn't need it to get going. If you just pulled the 7*, for example, I'd be really happy and not worry about having to pull her again.

It depends a little. It certainly doesn't hurt her, but her damage comes from two sources. One of them is bleed damage and deep wounds will help with that. However, she also deals damage whenever she makes defensive abilities fail on the opponent. This is direct damage and is therefore not affected by deep wounds. So it depends on what type of damage you're going for. Personally, I tend to use her for fights where I can make a lot of abilities fail so I tend to think of her bleed damage as pretty secondary. I still run deep wounds for other champions' sakes, though. It's still a great mastery to have and it's rare that I don't run it.

I can try but I don't know if she's the best counter for him. He's bleed immune and his Hatred is unaffected by ability accuracy, so she'll have very little to work with in order to damage him. It could be interesting to see if she could evade his SP2, though. It's pretty long, though, which can be a problem for her since her evades only last for 1 second. Chances are that she'll get clipped towards the end of, after she's evaded the first bit. But I'll see what I can do. If you don't see a video pop up in the future, then it's probably because it didn't work out and I just didn't see a point posting a failure. But...there is a small chance that an extremely risky move works wonders against him. I'm curious to test that out.

It depends a little on how you look at it. Damage-wise, no. All of her damage is in her basic kit. What the awakened ability gives her is access to combo shields and evades. She gets nine combo shields in total, and they each give a stacking chance to evade. At max sig, each give a 11,11% chance to evade, which adds up to 99,99%. Whenever you'd get hit, you use up a combo shield. If you were dashing in toward the opponent when you were to get hit, you have that chance to evade that attack. As you lose combo shields, your chance to evade attacks gets lower and lower. This doesn't affect her damage output directly, but it does make it very safe to dash in against defenders. You can see at one point in the video that I dash in right as Rintrah throws his SP1, and I just evade it. If my Black Cat hadn't been awakened, I could still have done all of this damage but I would probably have played her more carefully, meaning it could potentially have taken a bit more time to do so.
