Hi - we are Lyndon & Sian and come from South Wales in the UK. We both love visiting the south-eastern USA. We love Orlando and the parks (big kids), and the Deep South.
We also love travelling the UK when pandemics strike!
We are hoping to get back across the pond in 2022 and see more Elvis sites, tourist spots and music-related places so subscribe to keep up to date and leave a like and a comment - it'll be much appreciated!

Yes, you are right. Thanks for watching and your comment 😊
Vernon.never worked again when elvis became famouse because Elvis played for everything
Well, Vernon's job was to manage Elvis's spending. Not very well 😄. Thanks for watching 👍
Gladys was a verry strong woman and was strict.with Elvis and wouldnt allow him to play football in case he got hurt
Yes it is well known she constantly worried, and may have contributed to her being so unwell after Elvis became famous. Thanks for watching 👍
We stayed in this hotel. Our rooms were tiny, and I mean tiny.; and terribly warm. The hotel itself is fab! Staff was great.
Thanks for watching and sharing Kate 👍. Yes, couldn't fault the hotel staff.
A very interesting video about this great person and his family. Thank you
Hi....and thank you for watching. I appreciate it 👍

Very good Voice!!!
17th of April was also Billy furys birthday a good freind of Eddie's and who visited eddie at st martins hospital on his birthday day after the crash 😢
@John-rs3ib Hi John. Yes, Billy was at the hospital on that day Eddie died - Billy's 20th birthday. Thanks for watching 👍
Great singers! RIP to both of them 🙏🏻
I dont think Johnny Gentle covered himself in glory when he came along to the aftermath of the crash.
@@John-ob7dh Hi John. I would guess you mean him asking if he could siphon petrol from the wreck - no, not very sensitive at all. Thanks for watching 👍
1960 i was in the audience ( age18) to see Gene vincent ,but Eddie was not on the show that sat night. I was with my girl and a few friend's. One of my buddies who was there with me lives in California and is famous .He sent me a clip pic taken from his car as he drove into Albert Lea to give a guitar seminar. The owner of the motel was amazed when he booked in and took him on a tour of the town visiting many of Eddies fav spots. The reason for his amazement is because my buddy ( he is 80 now ) His name is Albert Lee.😊
@John-ob7dh That's funny John 😄. I would guess not THE Albert Lee, guitarist, though?
@OceanHops Yes the Albert Lee guitarist. He was 16 when I met him in 1959
@John-ob7dh very cool. Saw him live several times with the Everlys.
@OceanHops yes he was great friends with them .Also great friends with the surviving crickets .They made him a honorary group member.one of them gave him one of Buddy Holly's jackets years ago.
@OceanHops Did you know after the smash a young copper named Dave came to the crash scene and took Eddies Guild guitar back to the cop shop for safe keeping till Eddies parents got over from the States. That young copper was learning guitar so he played it at the station .He went on to form .Dave Dee,Dozy,Beaky, mick & Tich.
Me to Love the video,s thank you ❤ 🎸🎵🎹🎤🎶
Thank you Linda 😊
Intetessante video, grazie.
Ciao Cadia. Grazie per aver guardato e commentato. Lo apprezzo molto. 😊
That Memorial is fine looking man! Wow, it's something else!
Hi Carroll - I see what you did there 😆. Thanks for watching
This was so great. Thanks for sharing it with the world. I’m just curious what camera you used to film this.
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍. It is appreciated. I use the canon g7x ii
@@OceanHopswow you got a pretty good picture it seemed a bit dark in there. At 8:03 when we’re in the control room is that for Studio A? I’m confused there is another control room with the bigger ssl board but that is connected to or is part of studio B right?
@wotiluv hello again. It was Studio A.
@@OceanHops ok thanks. That’s what I thought

Incredible what you have done. Thank you !!! I was in Tupelo last month, and visiting the birth house, I have been surprise to know that the family move there after 3 years, and live in many places until 1948...very very nice job..

You're welcome
This is fascinating my 3rd cousin Peter Wynne was with Eddie Cochran and Billy Fury and the others. I read about the accident in Peter Wynne book.
Hi Susan. Thanks so much for watching and taking time to comment. And cool that Peter Wynne was your relative 🙂👍
Thank you for all the information. Love to learn more about this great man. Elvis was great from the day he was born till the day he died. No one could stand in his shoes. Gods gift to us. Johnny Cash said "Only Elvis could have done what he did." Thank you do much ❤❤❤
Hi Vicky. Thank you so much for watching and commenting 👍. I appreciate it very much 😊
Gracias nuestro rey Elvis
Hi Elisa 👋. Muchas gracias por ver y comentar
I cant belive elvis had greatgrandparents they would of been born over a hundred years ago gladys elvis s mom would be over a hundred yearrs old now
Hi Shirley. Yep, time marches on! Thanks for watching 👍
👍
RIP ❤❤
Thanks for watching Elaine 👍
He was brilliant would have ended up at top ❤
Hi Elaine. Yes, even if the singing side fell away, he was a very talented session musician, songwriter and producer so I think he would have thrived in any role!
Eddie was in Glasgow prior to going down too England he stayed in the central hotel . The hotel had a upmarket barber shop called Fuscho,s . Eddie had his haircut there .His hair was well groomed in the photo,s then. A guy I know was a junior then and swept up the floor. that day.
Thanks for sharing Frank. Interesting insight to Eddie's last tour. 👍👍
I was also a big fan of EC and Gene Vincent. I am 78 now and so fortunate to have been present with the birth of rock 'n roll. I got Be Bop a Lula on a 78 rpm record for Christmas. What a time for real music. Buddy Holly with Peggy Sue was incredible. Bill Haley, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, I could go on for hours. Thank you for this video as I knew how EC died but I was not aware of his popularity in England. I am a native Texan from Houston, hello to England. My deceased wife's parents were from England and as nice a pair of in-laws as you could imagine.
Hi Mark. It must have been great being at the start of it, especially in the US. There was a rock n roll revival here in the UK late 70s/early 80s, but the originals were always remembered over here. Thanks for watching 👍
Elvis's great grandparents were first cousins.
Hi Darlene. It was his grandparents - Robert (Bob) Smith and Octavia (Doll) Mansell who were 1st cousins. Thanks for watching 👍
@@OceanHops yes I knew that and his mother's parents were the great grandparents I was talking about. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks ! 🙂

Thanks for your comment Carl - it is much appreciated 👍
Modernisation took over ... sad 😢 TBH ... Ibelieve Tommy's story as didn't Tommy join the Merchant Navy and had ended up in New York possibly around the time that Elvis was there in his early career. Seeing as Tommy was into music too, he may have had an opportunity to meet him, before the hordes took over, so to speak.
Hi June. Yes, sad these old buldings have gone. With regards Tommy, he supposedly took him around London in a taxi while Elvis was serving in Germany. Elvis had more 'privileges' than other soldiers but even if he did manage to swing it with a trip to the UK, I believe there's no way that it could have been kept a secret all these years. Red West and Lamar Fike were with him in Germany, and over the years they've told of 'secrets' like the drugs etc , so I'm sure they would have mentioned a sneaky trip to London over the years if it actually happened. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Eddie as always been a. Faverite of mine, i was lucky enough to see and meet Gene Vincent i was a friend of the managers son, at the grand theatre wolverhampton, is a few years after eddie ad died, and i remember he got very sad when i mentioned eddie, i was the only one allowed in is dressing room that night, it was a show, there were a group backing im then, called the outlaws, there were some other good Rockers on, but i cant remember who they were, thanks for your tribute, phil johnson.
Hey Phil! 👋 That's so cool you got to meet Gene! But yes, it seems his life was a drawn out downward spiral after 1960. Thanks for sharing 👍
As a mad Elvis fan and of Scotland....this is heart-warming stuff. Yes, the resemblance to John Wallace can be seen in Elvis. "Elvis Wallace" definitely wouldn't have the same quality as "Elvis Presley" continues to be, but love it just the same. Thank you for this historical video on Elvis' heritage 💯⚡❤️
Hey Elvista! 👋 Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Beautiful resting place so clean 🙏
Hi Linda - thanks for watching! 👍
I assume it was 12 on a Wednesday I'm sure they are testing the tornado sirens
Hi. That would make sense. Very effective! Thanks for watching 👍
@OceanHops it was very good info great video!
@@Thepostman22 Much appreciated - thanks! 🙂
Hi if you visit the meditation garden, at 8:30 then you must leave, you can wait outside until open the Mansion? How do you cross the street???
Hi Shirley. Yes the gates close at 8.30. There is a crossing outside and you can stroll over the other side. The Welcome to Graceland plaza, foyer and gift shop were open before the actual exhibit areas opened at 9 (although the Graceland website said 10 🙄). Thanks for watching 👍
Some advice park in the regular parking lot they tow cars in front of the wall after about 2 hours.
RIP Joe Chambers.
Hi Brittney. Yes indeed, but the MHOF is a great legacy. Thank you for watching 👍
He not buried Mississippi
Hi Betty - who's not buried in Mississippi?
Good information about our dear Elvis. 1956 was Elvis' coming out year. Thank you so much.
Hi Brenda. 1956 certainly was the year of Elvis! 😊. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Back in the day you would never see elvis on tv cause the colonel wanted 2 much money , and with less exposure ,which is wise
Hi Gary. I think that Parker was at his marketing best around this time. All those TV appearances in 56, so the nation could see him on their TV at home and wanting more, then cutting TV after the 3rd Sullivan show - so fans then either had to spend on concerts or spend at the cinema to see him. Course this completely back fired in the 60s when Parker went too far and the concerts stopped as well. Thanks for watching 👍
Good. Documentary. Thanks. Alot. Guys. Rest. Elvis. Rest ❤🕊👏✌️👍👌🇮🇪
Thanks Darren. I appreciate it 👍
