I love food! I don't eat just so that I can live, I live so that I can eat. Join me on my food adventures. Maybe you'll send me on my next one and help me find what's around the corner?

    What can I do as a 31 year old in Palm Springs? Are there anywhere I can meet people?

  • @thecornerguide
    @thecornerguide16 күн бұрын

    There are lots of placing to go dancing in PS if that's how you like to meet people. Reforma and Village Pub are where most people go. Right now it's hot so not a lot of outside activities but Hair of the Dog is a friendly bar open late. Cafes can be a spot to meet people and Cafe la Jefe, 4 Paws Cafe and Ernest coffee are pretty sociable. Or grabbing a bagel at Townie Bagels.

    Congrats!! I like the vibes in the living room and the bed is not in the corner (oop)!!!!!!

  • @thecornerguide

    Nice one! Reason for the bed spacing is because (not shown) but the other side has a bare wall that has no holes in it, making it the perfect wall for my projector. So instead of having another tv, I just use a projector when I want to relax in my bedroom. 👍

    its hard to hear you and pay attention with all the background noise going on. have you thought about investing in a mic?

  • @thecornerguide

    Unfortunately did have a mic hooked up! 😂 some of these places just had the music so loud and busy staff moving all around us. I might invest in a better mic though since the one I use is around $50.

    Everything looked so good! My husband and I are heading to Japan in September and so nervous about the language barrier. When you went to go get the smoothie, how did you ask for it? Just by pointing? Great video!

  • @thecornerguide
    @thecornerguide Жыл бұрын

    hi! sorry for the late response. Japan actually uses a lot of English words so I just said the name of the smoothie and she got it for me. if you can, try to learn at least katakana. it's not difficult to learn at all. that'll help you find all the foreign words in Japan. studied Japanese for a bit in college so I have some knowledge.

    how expensive were the tamales?

  • @thecornerguide
    @thecornerguide Жыл бұрын

    I just saw that a comment was posted to this video. Food festivals are typically expensive. Always more expensive than if someone was selling it off the street or in a restaurant. I don't remember since this was filmed a year ago but I remember spending about $50 that day at least.

    IF I HAVE TO BE HONEST, I like Busan more. It's more of my vibe. Seoul is great though, I always love visiting. But I think Busan just fits my personality more. I've been to both in 2018, 2019, and this year. So I'm pretty sure at this point. Visited Suwon (future video) and I actually really like it there too.
