Hello sir, I'm from Philippines! I love film making and it is my passion! Sadly I don't have money to buy camera and equipments. So it is a great help for me to have even this SONY ZV-E10 Helios that I can put to my second hand camera to enhance my videos... Hoping I'm the one to be chosen, and it will be a starting point for my film making career!
Thank you for participating!
When you said to celebrate 100 subscribers I was so surprised! Your video is high quality. You no doubt will grow quickly. I could really use this lens as I just bought a new camera and have not been able to afford a new lens for it.
Thanks for participating!:)
Currently i am facing lot with my go pro 12 can i try the setting on it ?
I'm not familiar with that specific GoPro, but if you can set the ISO value on it, it's definitely worth finding the right settings!
Your video quality is awesome bro Anyways i want the lens for my sony zv e10 i purchased it last month to lear cinematography and portraits but the thing is i am out of budget after buying camera so i am unable to buy lens. If i wm this its going to help me lot to starting learning what i want to.
I like turtles.
Thanks for the infos again! I agree that setting your camera in perfect setting is the best practice to lessen and make post production workflow more satisfying. Noise reduction via post is staple now in filmaking imo.
Nice video
Appreciate it!
Yo, I'm a beginner who recently just got myself into video and photography, and that's when I was eyeing the Sony zv-e10. This video was really informative and helpful. Also, how do you not have more views, your vids straight bussin.
Thanks man! If you're just starting out, the zv-e10 is defo a good choice. Very good price value, with lots of lens options
Heyy, amazing video!! I was surprised you didn’t have more subscribers, definitely deserve a sub!! I’m from Timor-Leste, and if I won the lense, I would use it to shoot many photos and make many short videos!
Thank you very much!
Heyy, thr algorithm just recommended you and I must say that your videos are top tier so never ever quit if you get burnt out. You are on the right way to success(if that is what you want). And I want to join the giveaway because I will be studying in Italy for 3 years starting from September and I opened a vlog channel for making content. I will shoot my videos in my very own style. I will make every single video cinematic as I'm Christopher Nolan so yeah. Hopefully someone who needs the lens wins the giveaway!!!
Thank you and I really appreciate it! ☺️
im a wedding cinematographer from andhrapradesh,India where i was so exited to see black magic in ur videos first of all congratulatulations my dude for crossing 100+subscribers hope u will cross 1k soon always keep creating content for us lots of love from india
Thank you!:)
Hello! I've been eyeing that lens for a long time but due to budget, can't really pull it off. Having that in my kit will be a major up for my small setup. I'm rocking with a6400 and a 12mm lens, if i got selected, that will be my first prime lens in the medium length focal. it will drastically up the looks of my footage and will help me to create a unique feels to my shots. Hope the most deserving person won that helios lens! Best of luck! 💯
Thank you for participating!
I am a travel photographer from nepal, just getting into the world of filmaking as i am trying to create short moives and i hear about helios everywhere in the internet and also from my peers. I so wanna buy that lens but its not available here in my country ..only few to these lens are in the country and noone sane enough will sell it..also i have always been a apsc shooter and i just bought a A6700 .
Thanks for participating!
Congratulations for your subscribers, I have been watching your channel and you have a lot of valuable content, I am 17 years old and for a long time my dream is to become a great cinematographer, I have worked a lot to buy a zve10 and watching this video helped me a lot, I would love to have the helios lens for the vintage look that I love so much, I'm also saving up for an analog camera
Thanks for participating!
Why this channel doesn't have 100k + subs? Amazing comparison love it!
I hope one day we'll get there!:) thank you!
Hi there! I would be interested in the lens, I just got a camera and only have a kit lens with it, and would love to have a different one for a different look. I’m wanting to expand my knowledge of filmmaking and continue my photography business, and that lens would help greatly! :)
Thanks for participating!:)
Hi! I just found your channel. I've been lately looking into this lens for my micro 4/3. I've been in a creative rut for a while and experimenting with a manual vintage lens like this one can probably help me bring my creativity back to life. I really like it's character and obviously the bokeh
I don't have anything but want to make my own youtube channel in filmmaking catagory What should I do?
You need to decide what you want to make your videos about exactly? Could it be about your journey of becoming a filmmaker? If so you can start making little short films with your phone, act out scenes with your friends, trying different hacks to have a cinematic look with nothing... I think something like this would be good both for you and for anyone else that are in the same shoes as you!:)
@@filmmakingsimplified With this comment I am gonna try to do what I can. Let's see how much can I achieve
Valid, different strokes for different strokes, Also you can still speedboost that bad boy to get a similar depth of field and view field. Making a way better choice for video work. Though the black magic needs alot of rigging to get it functional specially that abysmal battery life and odd shaped boomerang body, nothing a cage with a side handle plus top handle can't solve. Basically the screen is super intuitive and large enough to skip grabbing a monitor, though it's no Flippy. No capable photo capabilities also no autofocus. The Sony can be suited for run and gun events The black magic can do indi films and commercial or studio work. To be honest both sensors are incredible and with the right rigging and proper lighting and sound, you can produce amazing images. Any sensor can produce an amazing image with lighting. Basically any mid range camera from 2016 and up is more than enough. Save your money and invest in proper mics, lights, tripod, lenses ,smoke machines, gimbals and story telling narrative skills development.
Completely agree, the best first camera is the one you already have, and it's better to get all the other pieces of equipment that are also needed to produce high quality films. In fact, I'd also always advise people to get a good mic first and lighting equipment since if a scene is lit properly and you can record good audio, even a smartphone will do the job of a camera (obviously depending on your project haha) At the end of the day it always comes down to goals and purposes. I for one barely use the BMPCC because when I make short films we take rentals and the cinematographer is in charge. But at the same time I like having the bmpcc because you can take it further in terms of image quality than the Sony I have. Also, for low budget projects where we can't take rentals we can still show up with equipment that looks professional and produces professional stuff. So yeah it really depends on what you need them for as I concluded in the video.
Congrats on 100 sub. i just started trying filmmaking recently i your vids help me so much in that process. I really love and interested in vintage lens since that is the only lens i can afford and now i actually prefer them over the newer lens. i would love to own that helios lens and i feel like it would help me on my filmmaking journey. if i cant get it thanks for the chance and informative vids anyways!
Thanks for participating!
Congratulations on your 100th subscriber! I’ve been watching your videos from the start, and I truly love your content. It has really helped me with my filmmaking decisions and guided me to see the positive side of being a filmmaker in today’s generation. It is my dream to have a Helios lens, especially the 44-2. The images that those lenses produce are very unique and even mimic the look of an anamorphic lens (anamorfake). As a filmmaker who prefers vintage lenses over modern ones, I would love to try every vintage lens that suits my taste. The Helios 44-2 is one of my dream lenses, but I can’t get one in my area. They are either in very bad condition (mist and fungus) or overpriced. If I get one, I plan to use it for different client works and creative pursuits as I want to achieve that “swirly bokeh” and unique image softness without breaking the bank. I am really excited to own one and will cherish it throughout my whole filmmaking career. Good luck with your filmmaking and KZread journey! Great video, by the way! Both cameras are the ones I am considering buying now! I love how you compared both cameras and elaborate their pros and cons.

Thank you! You bet I continue! 😊

The problem with upscalers is - they work only with small files. 'Small" for every software is different. I do upscale in Topaz. But after upscale I see it problematic to do color correction.
Upscaling in general is a high-tech process and often AI tools are not very good. They also export in very compressed jpeg that leave much less room for color grading.... they're good for commerce use or quick fixes
@@filmmakingsimplified , everything is high-tech process. Filming, editing, color correction, upscaling, tell me what's not. And everything has it's ups and downs. Upscaling is on it's initial stage, so far.
Good video, im looking to make a short film soon and wanted to know about this, thanks, new sub
Glad to help!

Hopefully that will change overtime! Thanks anyway!:)
While film school can be helpful for many in developing skills and making connections, it is certainly not an absolute requirement to have a successful career in filmmaking. So much of success in this industry comes down to raw talent, passion, determination, and just getting out there and making your own films. Do you feel having a film degree helped you in your career?
Wow! Turning a boring real life story into a compelling screenplay is challenging but with the right techniques and perspective, definitely doable.
