Oh! You went with a second store! Cool! Ready Freddy! That’s great! I meant to comment on that video but I’ve been so busy, I just didn’t have it in me. I’m glad everything’s okay. That resource you made looks awesome. I love that it’s digital resource and the whole dog and record store-super cool. I’m so intimidated to make an escape room because there are some AMAZING biology ones already. I’m just not sure if I can make some to that caliber. Did you design the images yourself? How many hours did it take to make an escape room? I haven’t done many resources this month. I think I only uploaded one in May (which should only sell in August/September). So my May sales are lower but it’s interesting to see a fully passive income this month. With my May money, I wanna take my wife out to a dinner date or make a charcuterie-on-our-porch date. She likes stuff like that. So, not a lot of money in May for me, but enough to do something with me wife.

Sorry for the delayed response! I spent a long time on the resource but mostly because I would get frustrated and take a lot of breaks. I think it was too difficult for my first go at it. I might try another one... I suggest mapping out all of the story and what options you want the kids to have first, and then make the questions to solve the escape room separately. I already feel like I want to make a back to school escape room, even though I basically said never again haha! I hope you had fun with your wife! What did you end up doing? Dinner or charcuterie?

Pride and Prejudice is the only book that I am hot and cold and hot and cold throughout. I start and think, “Why am I doing this again? This man is a jerk.” Then I think, “This is too relatable.” Then I think, “He isn’t really a jerk.” And I end feeling optimistic.

Hahahaha! It’s Jane Austen’s fault we think we can change a man. She tells him off once and he instantly becomes the most gregarious, giving, open minded person who was there all along he just only let his sister and housekeeper see it. But outside of the relationship angst it’s also just sooo witty. I appreciate her sense of humor in the writing so much!

Hi Christa, there is no "one right answer" for this. Some will combine stores and others will have 2 separate stores. Personally, since the two niches are quite different, I would create the 2nd store. Yes, there will now be double the marketing, emails, KZread!, but you want people coming to your store, knowing exactly what they are coming for. Just my two cents...

Hard flex 💪 I didn’t even think about Mother’s Day for TPT. And now… I have to think about Mother’s Day for my mom. I’m trying to get ready for August and September. I really hope I’m not shooting myself in the foot missing the seasonal stuff. Making a full curriculum takes SO MUCH TIME. I haven’t uploaded anything in a while because of the amount of work I’m putting into these full lessons. I think… I see David in the Marble. My mom says-worse thing ya wanna do is shoot your foot after you shot your other foot. I just hope I’m not doin that. The balloons were fun! I was like WOOOOOO! TPT TUESDAY PARTY!!! 🥳🙌 Thank you for sharing your routine--it gave me some ideas for my appointments. I enjoyed your story time. It inspired me to get focused. I have a ton of projects and I think I'm a bit all over the place from being disorganized. I think it's neat how busy of a person you are--people tell me slow down, but like... why? LOL if I want to do a million things, I am going to do a million things. What is your goal for TPT? I know you are working on owning a home but do you have an income goal for TPT? I want to make 100k per year but I always wonder how much top TPT sellers are REALLY making. I was 93rd percentile this past month with 234 dollars made and I always wonder if the the top earners aren't making AS much as I wish they'd make. I remember hearing about a top earner making 1.8 million in 2012 (I think) and I wonder how much she is making these days. She is CONSTANTLY pushing out product (I follow her), but I wonder how much top earners are truly making off TPT alone.

  • @missfredmusiced

Haha! TPT TUESDAY PARTY!!!! Yes I definitely understand the sentiment- if I want to be busy, let me be busy! Haha! Being all over the place is easy to do when you juggle a lot but at the end of the day, you are probably highly productive! As for my goals, I need to figure that out. Making 100k and replacing my income would be amazing!! Right now I’m just kind of experimenting with it. It’s fun and bringing in extra money that I’m trying not to touch at all! It’s hard to set financial goals for a business that you are figuring out as you go! I need to do some serious goal setting!

Woo hoo! Girl, you had an AMAZING week in sales! I taught regular sciences and AP sciences (AP biology and AP physics) and it is SO much more fun than regular classes. You get to really dig deep into content and skill. What summer training are you doing? College Board? NMSI? Independent? I don’t know how it is for AP lit and lang buuut AP biology’s best summer training for me was NMSI vs College Board, AP Physic’s best training was an independent company. My tip is ask people at your training if they have any files they can share. I guarantee there’s one veteran there that’s a AP Career Teacher (they only want to teach AP). That teacher will have a drive of resources.

@@missfredmusiced oh nice! CB is good too. This might be a stretch, but see if you can get your AP Classroom through College Board up and running during summer (at least the shell without students). You would need whoever your AP coordinator is on campus to give you access-they have to approve your class. The reason I say this is because AP Classroom has improved for students-there’s videos, tons of questions that are at the same rigor (and sometimes suspiciously similar) as the actual AP exam. Plus, you have to sign your kids up with AP classroom (all AP kids do-it’s where they see their AP scores) and you need it to be an AP teacher under College Board. When I switched from AP Bio/Pre-AP Bio to AP Physics one year, my AP Classroom never switched over to AP physics even though I was approved and all my students were labeled at AP physics. I only had access to the AP and preAP bio. It was such a B word trying to get it fixed with College Board. It never EVEN got fixed. My students missed out big time in practice and a resource to help them pass their AP exam. Getting access to it early will also let you see the material so you can better yourself to teach at AP rigor.
