    O tiro na água salgada não é a mesma coisa que na piscina devido à densidade 😁 ,a arma é bem bonita e deve ser boa.

    Love see testing videos. What length did you cut the bands?

    It all depends. Customer preference, target species, local conditions. This is a 100cm gun perfect for hunting reef fish and pelagics

    What would be ur recommendation for band length and pretension on an 80cm mannysub roller with a 7.5mm hunt shaft. I planned on it being my inshore barra gun but I just can't get the thing shooting straight.

  • @BigDogSpeargear
    @BigDogSpeargear2 ай бұрын

    Depends on your rubber. You using 16mm? Is it reactive or progressive? Also what shaft length are you running and is it new? Would be good to know what you are seeing. Is the shot consistently going left or right? I would suggest looking at 40cm 16mm Mannysub reactive at full pretension as a starting point.

    @@BigDogSpeargear shaft has about 15cm overhang, 16mm reactive, yes its new. but im happy to completely re do it to get it shooting straight

    @@glennsands6954 you shouldn't need a big pool to test such a short gun. This will tell you all you need to know. If shaft is new then it shouldn't be the culprit, but as you see in this video, some brands of shaft can indeed exaggerate inaccuracies. How long are your bands? Possibly lengthen the anchor line to lessen pretension and see what happens

    do Manny make a 15mm? I think they call it a 16mm but you are right its a tad thinner looking that RA

    Yes he does 14mm, 15mm, 16mm and 18mm. His 15mm Small ID similar to RA 14mm but a bit smoother.

    No flat shooting. Like all rollers you can see a parabola …

    Any experience with the ermes roller muzzles? Are mannysub the best in your opinion?

  • @BigDogSpeargear
    @BigDogSpeargear3 ай бұрын

    I have tried the Ermes single roller head. Nothing compares to mannysub in my opinion. They have amazing bearings and are solid. The ermes is lighter but harder to get bridle off the muzzle thus harder to load. Also has a strange design where the wishbone sometimes flips over the front after shooting. Only way to get it back is to release the other end from the anchor. Super annoying when good fish are waiting to be speared

    Thank you for your comment. Looking at the muzzle I had my concerns. Felt like the bridle will ride the muzzle too quickly impacting the shot. Along with you comments doesn’t seem like the best option

    why would you choose a soriatec barrel over the ermes? The ermes is a little wider but seems to provide more Buoyancy which is nice in a smaller roller making it feel not so muzzle heavy.

  • @BigDogSpeargear
    @BigDogSpeargear3 ай бұрын

    Great question. The Ermes gun is in fact more muzzle heavy with shaft in. Both guns have been balanced and are slightly muzzle heavy when loaded. As you probably noticed the Soriatec is denser and does not float flat on the surface, but it does float at the surface (and is even more buoyant in the ocean) which I am happy with. The Soriatec has a 3mm wall and is great at absorbing recoil.

    @@BigDogSpeargearcheers I modded my old ra 130 to a roller and have been enjoying it making me jump onto the roller bandwagon. It’s not as nice as my mates 120 timberline ra but it’s good enough for how much I use it. How does the soriatec compare to the timberline/ra gear I am looking to build a smaller roller 90cm for shore/shallow reef which I’m doing the majority of at the moment and once you tried and see how nice it is using something is nicely tuned and weighted it’s like night and day over my railguns.
