Rewatching this for the 18293340023th time, the first piece of 40k media I ever consumed, and the Angels of Vengeance are still my OG Chapter to this day. "Yes.... He does" The absolute essence of the AoV, hearing a guardsman stand fast in the face of Xenos hordes with nothing but a knife, and wishing he was as brave as the guardsman. And also being the ultimate killing machine.

You got to love Andre. He just embodies all the tenacity and resiliance of the guard. Fighting over a dying city and never loses himself to it. He seems like the only character that is mostly unchanged from start to finish. I'd love to see him meet ciaphas cain one day, they'd get on like a house on fire.

The way the space marine finished the prayer for the guardsman was just epic. Right when you heard the voice, you realize why the tyranids were not rushing the injured guardsman to begin with. Epic video.

Context to people who've never read "The Long Walk" by Richard Bachmann ("Stephen King"): The Long Walk is essentially a giant competition where kids walk across the east coast until only one of them is left. If you go slower than a certain speed, you get 3 warning, then on the 4th you're killed. The world places enormous bets on this event like any sport, thus justifying it. I believe the winner gets whatever he wants. He's pretty much taken care of. Surprisingly good book.

when I first watched this, I asked myself why the Nids didnt rush the guardsmen... I then learned that, despite their inability to know fear, they knew the Black Templar was watching.
