Wild that the game ends right at the start of round 9 - maybe the crab just barely got you at the end of round 8? And then the crewmates were so excited about the new treasure from round 8 that they didn't notice you were dead until they went to the next diving spot...
Aaaw, and I was so proud of that transition too. This was when I was experimenting with ending the game after the loop. I did die almost emidiately on stage 9. I like the Lore you cooked up 😂
got my second 20k on default settings within 2 attempts after watching this guide and most runs get at least very close to 20k now :p very helpful! ill probably rewatch it a couple times to get used to everything by the way, how hard is it to get 100k with easiest settings?

@@quillllly glad that the guide has been helpful. That's why I made it in the first place, to help people improve their scores. It's been a while since I played on default difficulty as score runners always play on 70 second start, Easy Time Difficulty and Medium'ish Traffic but I'd say at your current level, if you do easy time and 70s start you will roll into the 40k's easily. 100k is another story though. Haven't done it myself yet but I do know that knowing the customers alone will not get you there. You will have to work on your combos to get that extra money per customer. standard size trackball. The grind was ridiculous though. atleast 5 minutes 🤣

Press start and you can change your character mid round. You can also jump after each fireball and go off the top of the screen. Do it enough and you come out of the bottom of the screen. Zangief is a fun one to mess with. you can be 2 or 3 screens above them and still grab for a 3 story piledrive! BOOM!

I remember seeing a single cab version of this arcade at Hills in the mid/late 90s around 5 years old. Then when I was in high school in the late 00's, our county fair had a huge tent filled to the brim with arcade cabs like House of the Dead and of course Daytona USA as well, except it was a 4 player link cab with the seats and everything. I used to blow all my money on this and HotD instead of playing carny games. Good times man. I hope to acquire a 4 link cab of this with all the CRTS in good working order someday.
3 hour drive from my house they have a 8 player setup. Only one I've ever seen.

@@jacob-spring You just cant be in the 17's at all throughout out a beginner run, lap 4/5 was good though. If you can nail that lap after lap and get that consistancy up you should have a chance at top 10.
@@spiderfightclubyeah my problem was the exit at the pits. I would turn too late and cut through the grass and lose time. I haven't played the game seriously since I set these times back in 2017.
Yeah I've not played seriously since Daytona Online Arcade but I did get a run where I nailed those pit shift drifts and got high 16 lap 1 then all mid 16's and it was only good for 10th on the leaderboard back then but looking at it now I think I that run is 19th on XBLA now lol theres some crazy good players out there.

yeah it has come a long way. I'm still not a big fan of the mechanics in that game and saw myself go back and play Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition instead.
