Hi. I'm use to you having quakers and I've never seen any other animals. Are you a foster for these other birds, or is this poor Macaw yours? That must have been so scary to see his wound open like that! I probably would have panicked.

I was just visiting. I deal with so many animals that need a home.. so i was wondering how the shelter was dealing with unwanted pets. The day after I visited. They received more than a dozen puppies and kittens

I really hope more people are able to volunteer with local animal shelters. The dogs need more interactions with people and to go on walks more often. They need to play more often, there is not enough enrichment at the shelters.

I visited a dog pound once 15 years ago and came home with 4 dogs. Four of the best dogs I ever had. Down to just one now. All had some sort of health issues but the journey was well worth it . PLEASE adopt from a shelter. You won't regret it.

I dont know if this would help you with the sheet, but i use clothes pins to attach towels or whatever to my cages. Its easy on and easy off. Your "peek-a-boo" bird is adorable ❤️❤️

Thank you... Do you have a quaker? Or other parrots? It's funny but when you think about it.... (I'll take the fun out of it) They learn what to do by watching the flock.. She thinks she is supposed to do it to for some reason.. This is where they become confused & frustrated because we are not birds & they are not human.

I've had 5 birds, 3 Quakers and 2 cockatiels, all rescues. I only have one quaker left that is 22 yrs old. I don't think they picked up much from each other, I don't know why. They each had their own personalities and interests, but they were all awesomely sweet, quiet and adorable. Seeing you with your flock makes me wish for the time I had a flock.❤️

My little quartet particularly argue and fight over specific perches. Each one seems to favor a perch and flock forbid the other perches there. Lol.

Ah you have 4 parrots? What species? I have worked with almost every species & find quakets are most aggressive of all parrots. So this might just be normal.

@@neatnancy8824 2 cockatiels, a lovebird, and a golden winged parakeet (he's about the same size as a cockatiel). So smaller parrots but the pipes on them, man when they get vocal, it's loud. Out of the whole flock the lovebird is the fiestiest. Always has been. But he warmed up quickly to the golden winged parakeet, they are the best of buddies, except randomly they will argue over perches.

My birds battle sometimes. It's mostly vocal and bluff lunges, no one gets hurt. All but 2 of my adopted cockatiels were from 1 bird homes. It was really great seeing how excited they were to see another of their kind. It is hard to split your attention, I get it. Hang in there. Hopefully they will figure out the "pecking order"

It's been 3 yrs now, a few days later 2 of my birds tried to mate, they still hate each other & fight lol.. but i guess with the hormones going wild, their instincts are kicking in... they won't sit together or preen each other but do want a relationship.

I'm trying to find homes for dozens of unwanted parrots... And it's hard when everyone wants a baby instead. The quakers i have were all unwanted or abandoned. There's so many more out there.

Could you do a video talking about how you were able to get all your bids to get along around one another? The process of introducing a new bird to your flock? I know the boys came together and were in the same cage. Maybe if you could talk about that too and why you chose to put them in their own cages. I’d really appreciate that. ❤

I miss your videos Nancy and your Quaker crew! So does my Quaker, Chilly! Where have you been? I hope all is well and you post new video soon. I had to rehome my sun conure because it wasn’t a good situation with my Quaker bullying him, etc (the noise). It was very sad and I miss him dearly. Never ever want to put myself in a situation like that again! 😢
